Our band directer aproves of dateing 'in the family' (aka, other people in band.) Once, he went around our entire class asking each person if they where single, and if they wern't, if they where dateing 'in the family'. whee

In our band, if you date someone within your section, we call it "Band-cest". Other than that, there are tons of Band-lationships. I play tuba and I have yet to get a boyfriend. I am in a friends-with-benefits situation with a good friend of mine. He plays the bari sax. I love bass players...

There are SO many couples in my band, there was a rule created about PDA in band during football games. The band director reffered to it as "he-ing and she-ing, he-ing and he-ing, and she-ing and she-ing". I don't think I could count all the couples, since I probably don't even know half of them. I can think of ten couples that were together at one point or another this year...eleven if you count me and a cymbal player being together for less than 24 hours. >>;;
There's a bit of a love triangle in my section right now though. You'd think being and all female section with only one bi/gay (I'm not sure) chick, relationships would be at a minimum within our section. But no, I like someone in my section, and even though she's straight she likes another girl in our section who just doesn't like any gender but somehow likes her back. We're all friends outside of band, too (met the one in 5th grade, the one in 6th)...it's a little akward turkey even though only me, the girl I like, and our section leader know about it.

HAY GUYZ. Question: If two clarinets are in a relationship (band-lationship, if you prefer), and it's called clarincest, what's it called when two alto saxes are in a relationship?
Our band is known for having the most awkward couples ever. Like this Asian girl was going out with this red-headed trumpet player. Everyone insisted they'd have red-headed Asian babies. And now one of my friends (who's Chinese -- VERY Chinese) has a huge crush on a blonde trumpet player. So they're going to hook up and have blonde Asian babies.
Yeah. >>;;
So clarinet + clarinet = clarincest. Alto + alto = what?

There are so many Band-lationships in my band it's not funny. Well, it is. lol
Last year there weren't many, but this year there's like a 3:1 ratio of guys to girls so the guys are all trying to get a gf before they're all gone. I think it's a bit scary... But w/e, I'm in a Band-lationship with a marimba player. But a while ago, there was a bit of bandcest between me and an alto... We even have a rule in the "Safe sax handbook" that says no bendcest bewteen saxophones lol. But if it's an alto and a tenor, is it really bandcest? surprised
Oh well, I'm happy with my marimbaman ;D

I'm in a band-lationship with the alto player. He's my best friend and we've actualy lasted longer than most of my friends.

Oh jeez, our band wouldn't BE a band if all of the band-lationships left. -_- I used to be one, too.
Let's see, there's an alto sax/tuba, trombone/trumpet, flute/percussion, trumpet/percussion, trumpet/guard, alto sax/trumpet (I used to be in that pairing as well...), trombone/baritone... ::sigh:: I wish I could be in the alto sax/alto sax category, if you know what I mean... >.>

There isn't ONE bandlationship. There's several, and some are on-off and some switch (which I find slightly creepy).
We have flute - clarinet alto sax - trumpet flute - trumpet tuba - trombone clarinet - trombone
Plus, there's the guys that crush on the other sections. I don't like anyone in band, unfortunately.

Has anyone ever noticed that the bus is a f*cking petri dish for relationships? Over half of our band-lationships started on a bus. :/

lol wow there are a lot of relationships in my band.
theres katie(alto) - shelby(alto) there so insainly cute together darian(trumpet) - guitar player (no one aproves of this...not even bill aka the band director) for a while this year we had mitch(tenor) and karlie(frosh that i think is an alto..?) theres a few others but idc...lol theres also been a lot of suposed couples
ive liked quite a few band kids...but ive never gone out with any of them a flute, 2 altos (the 2 altos that are now going out) and a tenor but thats just since the begining of last year i frosh band.
at my school most band relationships start in the band hall/room not durring class or at pepband
bill dosent care about pda very much. concidering weve had people be pinned to the ground and they they end up making out in te middle of the band room and he just shook his head and went back to his office...that was funny....

holy crap there is so much drama during band its not even frickin funny anymore. mmk theres a french horn(Alex) and a baritone(James [who is also our co drum major]) and they've been an off and on relationship for a while, one day u would see them happy and the next Alex would be crying and throwing stuff at James. Hmm... our drum major (A trombone) went out with this one really bitchy flute player and them he broke up with her becuz they cheated on each other but its totally ridiculus cuz u would c them every day making out so now the band is like choosing sides and its awkward. Plus Adrien (Drum Major) is Alex's younger brother so uhm... yah... and them we have a couple of bi's and gays and lesbians and some people dating alumni and colorguard so its like wow. ahahaha so much drama and my BD doesn't even care just as long as they dont end up with teen pregnancy lolz
