Or maybe not? yesterday and the killing of Suavi could just be a trick to make us think his threats shuould be headed, but why? Possibly so the guardian(Whatever it was called) would guard Sherrriff and not someone else the Feral wants dead?

Well, even if the feral did attack someone else, protecting Sherriff still wouldn't mean anything. The feral can kill anyone he wants regardless if they're protected or not.
