Clover was overjoyed when they found the horses, though a little reluctant to leave Epotheros' arms. She slowly mounted Alfie, and brought her horse of a quick enough trott to fall in beside Shadow and his rider. "Well, actually there's a small creek that branches off of the Hestian River. The village was bulit within a large hook in the creek. The old couple I told you about lives right at a first bend in the creek," Clover explained. She was quite anxious to see the place again. The area was gorgeous. It was wrapped by the forest. Almost as if nature itself was protecting the place. After the village was burned it looked as if there was a huge feild in the middle of the wood, strange indeed. Clover always felt a mytical pull whenever she visited. She was sure that good spirits protected the place. She was also happy that a few families had moved into the area, finding it as inviting as her family had years ago.

"There's where we leave the river," she said in a vacant tone as she noticed the creek ahead.

"Alright," Epotheros said as he steared Shadow off of the main river and followed the creek instead. In the distance Epotheros could make out a small cabin and as they approached he saw an old woman sweeping away at her porch.

When the old woman saw the travelers approach she squinted to try to make them out as they approached. As soon as they were near enough for her to make out their faces, the ould woman let out an excited gasp. "Ah Clover! I have not seen you in quite some time dear. You are as beautiful as ever," the elderly woman said to her in a sweet voice, "And who is this hansome young man with you, your husband," she said with a small giggle.

Excitement and many horrific, sorrowful and hopeful memories flashed in Clover's head when she saw the all too familiar cabin in the distance. Miss Trenton was sweeping her porch and upon their arrival greeted them happily. Hearing the elderly woman's words, Clover's face changed to a lovely shade of bright red. "No, he's a good friend, Eptoheros. Actually, Miss Trenton we are on a journey, and were wondering if you could answer a few questions," at the end of her explaination Clover's face had toned down a bit and now sported a warm smile.

Epotheros was embarressed as well at the old woman's assumptions, but was also slightly hurt when Clover only reffered to him as a good friend. The old woman then spoke up, " I'm sorry about that dear, but you both seemed to go together." She smiled and then added. "You two looked tired, perhaps you would both like to rest in my cabin for awhile and have a cup of tea. It has been a long while since I have had company." She then lead them both inside and signaled for them both to sit in the big comfortable chairs that sat next to the fire.

"Tea sounds wonderful," Clover cheerily said as she foolowed Miss Trenton in slunking down into one of the comfortable chairs offered to the two. "If you don't mind my asking, Where's Mr. Trenton. Is he off fishing like usual?" though Clover asked this with a smile she had a bit of worry well up inside her. She feared that something may have happened since her last visit. She direly hoped that the kind couple were both healthy and well.

The old woman put on a gloomy face as she handed Clover her tea, "He died almmost a year ago, though don't let it worry you. We were both approaching the age of ninty and have lived long and fruitful lives." She then smiled, "I am also sure he would have been glad to see that you are finally happy again. You used to put on a face, but your eyes were always sad. Today though they are bright and clear and not cludy an full of sorrow, though I detect you are slighty stressed over something that had just recently happened."

Graciously taking the tea from the elderly woman that Clover had known her whole life sympathy rushed through her. A bit of her heart jerked and she hid her need to shed tears. Though Miss Trenton followed the news with a smile of reassurance Clover knew that loosing a loved one was a hard knock in life. She had nevered loosed the kind of love this old woman before her had, but she felt her pain and mourned inside. Before she could remineise withing her mind about the old man, his wife caught her by surprise. Somehow this woman knew Clover better than anyone. Then again no one really knew the young archer besides the old couple that resided near the Hestian River. Of course now things were different, she had Epotheros. For that she could be thankful. Yes, she now had a reason to be happy. Even if she hadn't truely admitted it yet. Clover smiled at her old friend and replied, "You know me so well." That was all she could really say. The fact that the woman had divulged so much about Clover's inner self to the man sitting across from her was slightly embarassing.

When they entered the cabin Epotheros removed his armor and sword and sat down into the old chair. When the old woman offered him the tea, he took it out of curtousy and drank the bitter liquid in one gulp. He instantly wanted to spit it out due to the taste, and tried to ring his tougn out without the old woman noticing. Epotheros never had enjoyed any beverage that was not water or juice from some fruit. After the old woman had talked to Clover a bit, Epotheros decided to ask, "Have you even known a man by the name Sir Sorin La Gerith?"

The old woman, looked at him for a bit before speaking, "I have never heard of a Sorin by that title, but I remeber a man named Sorin. By they way that reminds me," The old woman then waddled over to a bookshelf and pulled out a book, before removing a piece of old parchment from it. "he wanted me to give this to you." She then handed the piece of paper to Clover, "I don't know what it is but it appears to be a map of some sort.

After the woman gave the map to Clover, Epotheros stood up and went over to the door. "I'm sorry, but may I speak wit Clover outside for a moment in private?"
The woman nodded.

Having great interest in what the woman's response to Epotheros' question might be, Clover leaned foward slightly in her chair. When the response was negative she slumped back a bit, but then rekindled her anxiety when she was presented with an old peice of parchment. She scanned over the ragged thing to find that it was a map of some sorts, but to what? Upon hearing Epotheros' request Clover jumped up from her seat, shot a warm smile towards the kind hostess, set the warm cup of tea down on a small end table, and exited the cabin onto the porch. She knew that he probably wanted to discuss their next plan of action, and it wasn't a good idea to get poor Miss Trenton envolved in thier mission. Waiting for him she nervously twidled the parchment in her hands, staring at it with a questioning expression.

Epotheros looked at the map that Clover held in her hands. It was poorly drawn, but it did provide Epotheros with names of large cities and land marks. The place where the "X" was located did not have a name but seemed to be an Island of the coast. The overal distance though would take at least two days to get there.

"Clover I do not think it is safe for us, or anyone in this village if we stay here anylonger. It would be best if you say your farewells and get out of here. The trails are dry and the wind will carry our scent far from our path, so if we do not want to be tracked by Tramer we best leave imediatly since he somewhat knows where we were headed."

He then went inside and gathered his belongings. Apologizing to the old woman for leaving so suddenly.

Clover made to move to map closer to Epotheros to show it him as he scanned it over. Once he finally voiced his decision, she agreed completely, "We best be on our way then." She strolled into the cabin and gave the old woman a farewell hug. "Take care of yourself," she instructed with a mock smile. That phrase was one that the Trenton's had always told her when she would leave from week long visits. She didn't let it show, but Clover really wanted to distance herself from the dragon possessed Tramer as much as possible. The iccident from before hadn't completely shaken off of her yet. It was by far an unpleasant memory to her. Traveling with Epotheros was much more enjoyable, even if some dark being was ligering within him as well. Somehow she knew that they could conquer that issue as well with time.

When they had both left the cabin and monted their horses. Epotheros wispered assuringly to Clover, "You'll see her again, don't worry." He then sped up his horses pace to try and get them out of that area as soon as possible. In several hours they had reached one of the cities on the map. It was a large one, full of bazzars and tavers as well as a castle. Thousands of people lived there and it would be easy to loose someone in it. Epotheros stopped at one of the shops and ordered up some dry meats and some bread. As he paid for it and was handed the parcel he quickly remounted and begain to distance his and Clover's position from the city.

Several hours later the sun was setting on the horizon and Epotheros thought it best for them to set up camp. He found a small wooded area that was inbetween two large open feilds and set up a small fire there. He then pulled out a blanket and handed it to Clover before he took a seat next to her by the fire, an old log was used to support their backs. As twilight took place Epotheros noticed something large, yet small slink towards them. It was Kamots the wolf. It seemed he had followed Epotheros from the castle and was looking to be fed. Epotheros then gave him one of the pieces of dry meat,as he was passing one to Clover.

As they were eating Epotheros told Clover, "I bet you are wondering how I found that cave."

The day rushed by. They had traveled thought a city filled with people. Then they left finding a decent space to set camp for the night. A feeling of nostalgia swept through her. She was reminded of the first night they had spent together. Clover had been so distant, yet she felt comfortable around Epotheros from the begining. It was all rather odd really. Returning to the present she graciously took the meat offered to her, and began to nibble on it. Clover turned to look him in the eyes as Epotheros spoke. "Well, I never really thought about it until now. How did you?" she admitted. She hadn't really question his arrival. All she had thought of was how happy he had shown up.

"Well it was the wind, you always speak of though it manifested itself into a woman that looked almost exactly like you though she was slightly older by about ten years or so. She also stated that she was your gaurdian and instructed me to go to the cave and get you. I don't know if it was the angel of your mother or something else but I do believe something is always watching out for you."
