Mike's lack of sleep and intrest in waiting for his Pokemon to be healed caught up with him as he faded off to sleep.
Napalm however was full of energy, waddling around the Center testing out his Psychic powers yet again. He had fun lifting up an assortment of items such as pillows. His real challenge showed itself in the form of a pen anchored to the front desk, one with the beaded chain so they always have it on hand if they need to sign paperwork. Napalm narrowed his eyes, the pen glowing a faint blue hint. He jerked his head to the side, the pen moving to the side, only to be stopped by the chain. The Magby flailed around, stomping his feet, this would be a face off. He tried again, practically throwing his head to the side. The pen was once again stopped by previously mentioned restraint. Napalm smashed his foot onto the floor, his body radiating intense heat. The tile beneath him began to blacken in the fire Pokemon's rage as he thrust his head the final time, the pen straining in his mental grasp.
Suddenly, a snap. The chain burst, beads flying everywhere, scattering mostly on the floor. Napalm danced around in victory, a little metallic ball rolling under his foot unnoticed. Bringing his foot down, the baby Pokemon slipped on the bead, falling right on his butt.

Ding! The welcoming sound of healed Pokemon stirred Mike from his little nap. He staggered up, blinking his eyes forcefully to repel his blurred sleep-vision. Rubbing one eye, the boy took a step forward, slipping on one of the beads. He let out a yelp, grabbing the front counter for stability. Thankfully he balanced himself, there's one spill he managed to avoid. "Finally, some luck." He muttered, snapping his Pokeballs to the strap on his backpack.
A little more careful this time, Mike tiptoed around the beads, picking up Napalm and heading outside.

The Treeko looked a bit phased and tired now having been struck by two Dragonbreaths. Haku wasn't in any better shape either. "Treeko use Pound!" the boy shouted. Visibly slower the Treeko charged at Haku again, jumped, and turned around in mid air aiming it's tail at Haku's head. "Tsk, tsk!" Mitsu teased, "Dragonbreath Haku!" Both Pokemon having lost most of thier stamania by now landed a direct hit on each other, at nearly the exact same time.
The two young Pokemon flew backwards, sliding across the dew covered grass a bit. Mitsu and the boy held thier breaths waiting for either Pokemon to stand up. When it was clear that they were both knocked out the two Pokemon were recalled. "Tie, I guess," the boy said walking over to Mitsu. "Yeah," she agreed, "you put up a good fight...umm."
"They name's Tyler," he stated simply.
"Nice to meet you Tyler, I'm Mitsu," she gave him a small smile, "How about we go get our Pokemon healed?"
"Sounds good to me," he said. The two trainers began to walk north towards the next town in hopes of a PokeCenter.

The baby Cyndaquil proved to be more than healthy as the spunky little fire critter once again got free from Keegan's grasp, and the boy was forced to give chase as the young Pokemon ran away, squealing and laughing as though it were a great game. Frustration bubbling up inside him, Keegan continued to follow it until a familiar cry caught his ear. He turned to see Helios trotting towards him, looking fairly harrassed. "Great timing, pal," Keegan called, pointing at the navy and cream-coloured streak that was darting away. "That Cyndaquil doesn't want to go back just yet. Give me a hand, will you? Try to cut it off and we'll corner it."
Helios turned to look at the giggling baby Pokemon, and rolled his eyes. The Vulpix gave a nod before he started to run, pulling into a Quick Attack, which gave him ample time to get in front of the Cyndaquil. The young Pokemon didn't see Helios right away, and ran headlong into him, being knocked back slightly. Helios twitched one of his years and glared down at the Cyndaquil, who gave a shriek and went running the other way. Now also frustrated, Helios used Quick Attack once more to gain speed, while preparing an Ember attack, which he spewed forward, blocking the Cyndaquil's path. Coming up from the left was Keegan, and the right Helios, effectively trapping the baby Pokemon. It glanced from the human to the Vulpix, before it opened its mouth and fired a rather surprising Flamethrower right at Keegan, who hit the dirt in an instant, feeling the heat on his back.

"Since when do they breed babies with moves like that?" Keegan moaned, getting to his feet and watching the baby Cyndaquil scampering away, laughing. Helios came padding over, checking to see if his trainer was all right. "Don't worry about me, I'm alright," Keegan reassured the Vuplix, who flicked his tails in annoyance, and glanced in the direction that the Cyndaquil had run. "I'm getting too old for this," Keegan muttered, as Helios ran after it, once again breaking into a Quick Attack. The small fox once again caught up rather quickly, and jumped at the baby, pinning it to the ground. Helios scolded the baby in their own Pokemon language, the baby's shoulders slumping as he started to look rather sorry. Keegan approached them, a slight smell of burnt fabric about him as he bent down and picked up the Cyndaquil. "Enough games," he told the naughty Pokemon. "It's time to take you home. Good job, Helios," the boy nodded, and the trio turned to make their way back towards Keegan's house.

That's gonna leave a mark, Kasiya thought, involuntarily flinching as Fang's fangs sunk into the nose of the Tropius. She didn't have to be told what was about to happen next as the energy flowed into Tropius's open mouth. "Get out of the way!" Kasiya screamed, but it seemed Fang didn't need to be told what was happening either. He let go immediately, just as the Hyper Beam was fired. A blinding burst of light filled the area, and smoke and dust rose up from the ground in the aftermath. Kasiya held up her arm in front of her eyes to shield herself from flying debris, wincing as needle-like pains ravaged her bare arms. "Fang!?" she called, glancing around, her eyes searching for a flash of green, or any sign of her Crobat for that matter. The dust began to settle, leaving a crater-like hole at the feet of the Tropius. "....Fang...?" she asked again softly, starting to move forward.
An ear-splitting screech pierced the air, its source unseen. A split second later, Tropius was sent up into the air as Fang appeared from beneath her, knocking the larger Pokemon backwards as the Crobat buffeted her with his four wings. He soared up into the sky, screeching loudly, the right side of his body seemingly burnt as he did several loops in the air, as though he were taunting Tropius to try something like that again. Kasiya knew that the opposing Pokemon would need to recharge after the intense Hyper Beam, meaning Fang would be able to attack again before she could react properly.

Crenu awoke that night to find Larvitar staring him in the face. "Larvitar! You're alright buddy!" Crenu jumped up from his bed and grabbed Larvitar, hugging him close to his chest. Larvitar wiggled about in an attempt to get free from suffocation, but accepted it. "I was worried man, but you look like you're alright now. I'm sorry about lletting you lose like that, I thought we might have been able to take him down..." Crenu let Larvitar go and looked down as he rolled out of bed, putting on his clothes. Crenu looked down at Larvitar, then smiled a fake smile as if trying to keep Larvitar from worrying.
"Well, everything seems in order. Your Larvitar has made a full recovery." Nurse joy spoke with a smile as she walked into the room with a few berries. "You know, your Larvitar is quite strong. With a little more work, I'm sure you can beat that Scyther easily." She smiled down at Larvitar as she gave him the berries. Larvitar seemed happy at teh sight of the berries and ate them quickly.
"I guess, he does look a lot stronger now. I guess that even in loss you can grow stronger." Crenu smiled at Larvitar as he watched him consume the berries, this time his smile was filled with warmth and feeling. "We'll become a lot stronger buddy, and one day you'll be a terrifying Tyranitar that will strike fear into the hearts of all your opponents." Larvitar loked up at Shiro and stared into his eyes. He understood exactly what Shiro was feeling, and wanted the same thing.
"hmmm, say I have an idea! Why not try your luck against Falkner, the Violet City gym leader? It'll be a good test of strength for you and your Larvitar, and who knows, maybe you'll win. It's worth a shot if you really want to grow strong."

"Hmm, a gym battle.... I'm not sure I want to risk Larvitar again, that was pretty bad last time."
"Oh well, just a sugestion. In all honesty, I thought you'd do well." Nurse joy smiled, then exited the room.
"I don't know, I'm not sure I want to put you in anymore danger... What do you think Larvitar? Do you want to do a gym battle just like dad?" Larvitar jumped up and down with exitmet, then dropped into a seriouse pose to show he was ready. "Thought so. Gym battles are a lot tougher than regular battles, you may lose like against Scyther. Still want to do it?" Larvitar nodded wildly, and it was settled. "Well alright then, lets do it. Falkner, I'm coming for your badge!" Crenu got up in a heroic pose and Larvitar imitated him.
Nurse Joy could be heard giggling as she reentered the room, for what we don't know. "I'm glad to hear that. Good luck. If you are going up against Falkner, you should know a little about him. Falkner is a master of flying types, his airborn assults are quick and hard, so you'd better watch out."
"FLying types? Then we should have an advantage since Larvitar is a rock type." "Yes that's true, but Falkner has more than just one pokemon and he is a gym leader. It won't be that easy for you, so don't be cocky. I'd advise you to catch another pokemon before trying to take on Falkner, it could just be a life saver."
Crenu nodded, then was off with Larvitar right behind him. "Thanks for everything Nurse Joy, good bye." Crenu walked out and got on his bike, then started riding it through town, hoping to find the gym.

Jaeshan bid farewell to the lady trainer, smiling slightly as he watched her walk away. Weepinbell was still asleep in a heap on the ground, after the two had pried him from the Venusaur's head. "You were great," the boy said, as Weepinbell was recalled into his Pokeball. He looked at the one that contained Butterfree, and winced. She'd taken a massive hit from that Frenzy Plant attack, the hole in her wing would definitely take time to heal. He sighed, and looked around, knowing he should head back to the Pokemon Center soon. "I should send her to Professor Birch's laboratory to recover," he reasoned, putting her Pokeball in his pocket, making sure he had his things and running as fast as he could, back into Vermilion City.

If that battle was rough, he thought, his teeth clenched as he ran, how tough will battling Lt. Surge be? He shook his head, knowing that with Nidoking and Weepinbell by his side he'd have an advantage. And Bagon too, perhaps? He never could remember if Dragons were resistant or weak to electricity. Either way, a gym battle would be good experience for the little dragon. Jaeshan made it back to the Pokemon Center relatively quick, practically throwing his Pokeballs at the lovely nurse before him. "Please..." he begged, out of breath. "My Butterfree... wing... hurt bad..." he gasped, nearly falling over.
"Oh my," the nurse said, taking them and placing them into a tray. "I'll do my very best." She gave him a kind-hearted smile as she carried the tray away, and Jaeshan trudged over to the vending machine, putting a few coins in to get a bottle of water. When the machine didn't cough up his drink, he kicked it, causing it to make a rattling noise and drop a bottle. Jaeshan picked it up, opening it and practically draining it in a gulp as he collapsed in a cushy chair to wait.

Crenu peddled through the city and must have taken a wrong turn somewhere. The next thing he knew, he and Larvitar were surounded by lots of tall green grass and a few trees and bushes. "Hmmm, wonder where that gym is? I'm sure it's easy to spot, wonder how I missed it? Oh well, better go and lok again... hm?" Crenu heard a russtling in some bushes to the left and turned to face them. He stood as still as he could, puting a hand back to signal Larvitar to stay where he was. As he krept closer to the bush, he heard the sound again. Picking up a stick, he poked the buck and fell back as a startled Spinarak jumped out onto Crenu's face. "Ack!" Crenu shook Spinarak off and jumped back, signaling to Larvitar. "Larvitar, bite!" Larvitar jumped in and charged at Spinarak to bite, but Spinarak jumped up onto a tree and used poison sting, shooting a bunch of needles at Larvitar. As it fired away, Crenu got a better look at the spinarak. "hmm, by it's markings, it appears to be a female. Not only that, it's a very stange color, not like your normal spinaraks. I must have it! Larvitar, go!"

"Larvitar, move!" Larvitar jumped out of the way and jumped forward to bite at Spinarak, but spinarak jumped to another tree and hit Larvitar from behind with another poison sting. "The neddles hit their tark, but were barley able to penetrate Larvitar's rocky exterior. Spinarak seemed unable to pick up on this and fired another barage of needles at Larvitar. "Larvitar, run through it and use bite!" Larvitar lowered it's head and plowed through the needles As he neared the tree, he lept up with his jaws open, readu to bite Spinarak, but Spinarak shot a strongshot at the last second and rose up into the tree. Larvitar hit the tree with full force, which shook the tree with such violence that Spinarak came crashing out of the tree onto the ground. Now angry, Spinarak shot it's string shot at Larvitar, wrapping him up in a sticky silk.

"Larvitar struggled to get free, but could not brake the binds of the string shot. "Come on Larvitar, shake free!" Larvitar tried running around, but even as he ran, Spinarak just let out more silk to avoid getting pulled and insterad jumped into a tree, jumping from branch to branch in the opposite direction of Larvitar. This in turn wrapped Larvitar up even more. "Come on buddy, bite yourself free!" Larvitar tried to bite at teh strings, but was unable to get his jaws around the silk enough to bite through. As soon as he got a small bit in his mouth, spinarak shot out more string and covered Larvitar's mouth to stop it even further. Extreamly pissed now, Spinarak began to pull in Larvitar, then used it's might to swing Larvitar into a tree. "Larvitar, you gotta get free! Come on Larvitar, do something!" Larvitar struggled to get free, but was stunned by pain as he was smashed up against another tree. Spinarak jumped onto the ground and swung Larvitar into the dirt. Larvitar slowly stood up, still wrapped, and looked norrowly at Spinarak. "Bite, leer, do something!" Larvitar's eyes seemed to glow with a rage as the a swirl of sand began to form around him.

"That's right! Larvitar, Sand Storm!" THe swirling sand suddenly became a vortex of raging sand which tore through the strings that bound Larvitar. The sand whipped around at high speeds, buffing away the threads around Larvitar untill he was able to break free. Spinarak looked on with fear as it attempted to scurry away. As it hurridly crawled up the tree, Larvitar directed the vortex at the tree, making huge spining sand drill that hit Spinarak head on and peeled away the bark. Spinarak fell down onto the ground hurting. The sandstorm died down and Larvitar stood dazed where a raging sandstorm use to be. Spinarak looked really beat up from the sand storm, and stood with feeble legs as it attempted to strike back with a poison sting. "Now, finish it off Larvitar, Bite Attack!" Larvitar jumped to the side to avoid the poison sting, then ran in with it's jaws open. Spinarak tried to scurry up the tree gain, but before it could Larvitar hit it dead on, sending it flying into the trunk of it's tree and bouncing off again onto the ground. It landed on it's back, KOed. "Alright, great job Larvitar, now for the finishing touch. Spinarak, you're mine!" Crenu grabbed a small empty ball from his belt and pushed the button to make it expand to a palm sized ball. He energeticaly threw the ball directly at Spinarak. "Come on..."

The small, spider-like Pokemon was pulled inside the Pokeball in a flash of red, the spherical object dropping to the ground. It rocked back and forth, the red light in the center blinking rapidly for a couple of heart-stopping moments, the light dimmed.
