You silly silly people. Unicron is from the movie. You don't have to watch anything but the movie to know about Unicron. course there's that whole period where his head floated around Cybertron afterwards, but that was what we call "the dark ages" of Transformers and should mostly be forgotten.
Yes, bad a** planet eating planet transformer. If you like mecha or robots of any kind Unicron would definitely be the mach daddy of them all. Good call Charlie..
