Sukutu's eyes widened at the state the poor cub was in, how could lions do this to a cub???
"Poor thing..." He mumbled softly.
His violet eyes watched Jasiri, she'd make a great mother one day, but putting that aside for the moment she looked at Koho softly before turning to watched the little gray figure.

The small cub shook as more adults came, her red eye's widening in shock and fear as she was groomed suddenly by the brown female, looking up into her dark purple eyes as she gave a small defiant squeak at her.
However, her expression changed as she mentioned food and she nodded instantly, a pleading look on her face as the words blurted out.
"Yes please!!!!"

Jasiri frowned at the cubs ergency for food. She knew that she musent have had a decent meal in...a long time. Jasi finished up with a couple more licks, then got and and walked over to the carcas, taking off a small chunk and ploping it infront of the cub. "Start with this for now, and if you need more, theres plenty." She said, siting back on her hanches and watching the child eat. Her eyes flickerd over to Koho at the mention of the weakening heard. "Not big at all. The plauge probably wiped out some of the strongest of the heard, and the Firekin have probably overhunted there small pack also, having little else in the area. There were a couple of ones that looked alright though, and a small buck that looked like it had just been born a week or so ago, so hopefully it will thrive again." She knew how important food was going to be for the reastablishing of the Firekin. If there was no food in the area, it would be harder to keep the pride stable. Her eyes went back to the little helpless slave, her eyes suddenly afire with rage. How dare they take innocent cubs away from there mothers, and beat them and give them no food! She knew that would be the first thing on her list. She smiled at the cub, and gave her one more lick on the top of her head.

A thoughtful ridge appeared in Koho's forehead, "Laana eh? Do you know where you come from dear? Or were you born in slavery?" Koho dearly wished to find a place for the little cub to live that would provide normal meals, not beatings. If she had no where, she could always come back to the Pridelands, but it seemed she had a bit of spite for the pride members... Maybe that was just the paranoid nanny in her talking though. Either way, finding out all the information possible would be helpful in a lot of ways. Koho's stomach grumbled despite her best efforts to keep her mind off of the luscious carcass sitting before her, "There wouldn't happen to be a leg left for a poor old lioness would there?" Her brows lifted a bit jokingly. She was far from old, but poking fun at herself with Suku around was just too good to pass up.

Mwali hadn't expected to find such sleep in his homeland, but then again, it was something he had done quite well when he was growing up. With little responsibilty of his own, sleeping had been the major duity of the firekin prince, and when he slept he had slept hard as anything. The conversation grew from a dull murmer in the back of his head to just enough to stirr him as sleep's embrace finally lightened up from him. His green eyes parted just a bit as he lifted his great head up off his paws and began looking around. He looked nothing like the typical firekin in how he carried himself, but very much like one in physical build and appearence. In the mornings he looked almost lost, his droopy eyes glancing around as if to remind himself where he was and who he was with. He wasn't at all shy about yawning or groaning at a few stiff spots in his back and neck, and he wasn't at all hesitant to stretch himself out like the great cat he was. His paws reached out in front of him, the thick black claws stretching out along with him as he archd his back upwards to pop out a few tense points in his spine. Getting to a sit he shook out his mane and yawned once again, the massive tounge lolling out from his mouth as it came to a close.

Clearing his throat he turned to look for Koho- his beloved mate. He could see her not too far away, speaking in a hushed voice as not to awaken him. Sukutu, his little brother hadn't been looking so little in recent days- a full creamy chocolate mane graced the young adult's head and shoulders fully now, it made him proud to think that he'd grown up so well. Surely two male lions boasting full manes would stay the claws of his former pride members a bit longer. Jasari wasn't too far from them either- they all had their attention fixed on something.

His brow wrinkled a bit as he got to a stand and paced himself over to the others, a massive paw slinging around Koho in a strange lion-hug. More playful than anything, he loved trying to catch her off guard. Maybe she had been distracted enough for him to do so, "What's all this then? Getting an early start without me?" His eyes then were drawn to the skinny little cub, "Well hello...", he felt a bit silly now. Sleeping when someone had arrived- had she been an enemy... well he didn't want to dwell on it. "Are you lost?"

Movement had been fairly easy for Koho to pick up with sensitive ears trained to detect the slightest noise that a cub escapee might make. That being so, her attention had been so focused on Laana's appearence that she had disregarded Mwali's casual awakening as him moving around in his sleep, which he did a surprising amount, even if she wouldn't tell him so! So despite all the stretching and yawning that the prince had made he still was able to give Koho a good fright. As she felt his paw around her her skin prickled, muslces rippled and claws dug into the sand. Her tail thrashed, but then red fur and deep love betrayed her darling Mwali to her. "You gave me a bit of a start there dear," a tiny whisper reached his ears alone as she moved her muzzle towards his thick mane. As he began to speak she bit her tongue, he was such a cutie sometimes, and his inattention to details, such as another lion cub around, was just adorable! He had been asleep far too long for her liking. "Don't worry, I would have taken care of you silly!" She could feel his tension, whether he realized it or not, that coursed one way through his body as he voiced his realization of the cub. If she had been an enemy Koho would have dealt with her the same way she had dealt with all other threats, hardly meekly....

Her attention turned back to the grey scruff, she was acting fairly relaxed around Suku and Jasi... A permanent home was just what was needed, perhaps Grandma Koho could do some intervening to get Laana to stick around... perhaps all she needed was the right temptation. Her son's teasing brought her out of her plotting, a mischevious smile lighting her gold features, white cheek markings lifting, "I'd agree with that!" Beauty was for sure, Mwali's coat was gorgeous and Koho just wanted to roll around in his mane, which is what she decided to do! With a playful leap she wrapped her forelegs around his neck and buried her head in thick crimson waves of fur, attempting to get him to roll over, but that wasn't too easy seeing as he was about twice as large as the slender boned female. It did please her though, as she was tackling her love, that Laana seemed happy with the situation she found herself in, perhaps it would be easier to get her to stick around than Koho realized...

"Haha!" A triumphant tone rang through the femme's voice as a victory yell was released. She had managed somehow to pin her mate, twice the size of her, but she supposed he had been off-balanced.... Which ever way it was she had turned out lucky for the quadrillianth time in her life, another such time had been finding this big, red teddy bear! "Oof!" However her victory was only half as she was pinned to his body in his hug, she still had achieved her goal though, the ability to roll around in his soft mane and be happy. A soft purr reverberated through her, attention focused only on the lion beneath her, the others could deal within themselves for a bit... she hadn't gotten a chance like this in a while.... "I suppose that is how we must be!" Was he wagging his tail? With a bit of childish laughter right into his furry chest Koho's tail began to flip back and forth, up and down and all around also, it was just too funny to resist! Lions didn't wag their tails did they?

"I'm sorry darling, but I suppose it was to get even from you startling me earlier! Now we're square." Koho had lifted her head from the furr just enough to make that pointed remark before she succumbed yet again to her childhood. She scooted forward, her hind legs slipping to the sand on either side of Mwali's torso to allow her some forward motion, and licked his pale snout approvingly. And again, a little pink tongue darted out and groomed his face, getting some of the sand off, but mostly enjoying the feel of his face once again. She really was in love.... "So what are you gonna do about it anyway?" A mischevious dare of a look pierced through her amber eyes and connected with green pools, her nose playing with the golden feather she had graced his neck with before this perilous journey, while waiting for his response.

I'm here! *So slow.* I would've come sooner, but I was at band camp getting blisters on my feet.

First off, I haven't been around here much because my internet access has basically died. I can only get on for an hour or so every weeknight, and I didn't RP because I figured no one would want to wait a full day just to get a reply. It's not all that fair, honestly. People tend to get angry when you don't reply fast enough. @@

If you guys still want me to come, then of course, I will. <3 I'll just be a little slow. But if not, than Waka will remain blissfully unaware that Pridelanders have entered the territory. Until I can come back full time, that is. XD))
