Eitan wasn’t as surprised to see Chrono jump in front of him as some others would be. He suspected the boy to be a sly one.
“Ah, you noticed as well?” He said softly, “This worries me. Especially with everything that’s been going on lately. What do you think–”
Eitan stopped and looked around. Speaking in this open area, even under the cover of night, was not safe enough.
“Come.” He said briefly, “We’ll speak in my home.”

"No." Chrono said, grabbing his arm,"I said this sensation was from a familiar being. For one such as myself it is nothing benevolent."
He broke into a quick run, going only as fast as he could until Eithan began to run as well.
"There are very few humans outside the foresters I am familiar with, but I know many more demons... One of them, or something of their likeness... is here... Blaise and the others are in danger."
Rosette opened the door just in time to see Kaden throw his own blanket over Adelaide. he'd left her in a vacant chair.
"Huh? What happened?" Rosette asked.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were up." Kaden said quietly,"I guess we kept her up too long, just let her sleep a bit."
"Oh..." Rosette said after a short pause,"I'm going to bed as well... See you later Kaden."
(You can take Kaden back again now, do whatever with him you thing'd be particularly evil... twisted )

((Alright xd ))
Eitan followed Chrono closely, listening to what he was saying. This definitely wasn’t good.
“What can you do?” he asked.
Kaden nodded and looked to Blaise. A sour expression flashed across his face but had left so quickly it was almost unnoticeable.
“I’m going to go and let you all rest.” He said to Rosette before exiting out a back door.
He had to leave in the event that he might be discovered. Kaden would hide where he could not be seen or sensed. He’d return in the night, though, and finish hid business. It would be a simple plan – kill the head and the body is defenseless. The Lieutenant was his target; after that, the Foresters themselves could take out Rosette and Chrono. They had already shown their distrust in the two earlier, and if something were to happen to Blaise that would only make this doubt greater.

"I don't know... it depends on who this sensation is actually coming from. Hopefully... no one is dead now..." Chrono told him, "It seems to be coming from the hospital... all of them are in danger, including your wife..."
He feared the worst. They had to hurry before something happens... or worse...
"I fear that if the one here acts by what I predict, we may be forced to kill someone to save them..."

Eitan frowned, “Oh, this is becoming worse by the second. There must be another way to rid them of this presence – I cannot bestow death upon any of you. If you imagine that it is Rosette that must be purged then you should understand what I mean when I say I cannot.”
The elf rushed forward, getting quickly to the hospital wing. He walked quickly to the room where Blaise and Rosette were and found his wife in a chair.
“Adelaide!”

Chrono said nothing and continued to run. sure fate would not be so cruel as to do that to her after all that had already happened?
Adelaide snored loudly, but did not wake. She was extremely tired and it would take a lot of yelling to wake this elf up.
Rosette, however, was so startled she fell right out of bed. She stood up and chucked a pillow at Eithan angrily.
"What's wrong with you man?! People in here are trying to-!"
Rosette stopped as Chrono caught her by the shoulder and stared intensely into her eyes. She blinked, utterly bewildered as to what he was doing.
"Uh... is there something on my face?" She asked, before he moved away. She looked at him glumly as he walked away. He'd given no reply.
"Not Rosette, someone else." he said to Eithan.

Eitan swatted the pillow away and continued to look worriedly at his wife. She seemed alright for now. As Chrono told him that is wasn’t either of the two he frowned. Who could it have been? Eitan thought for a few moments then looked up to Chrono.
“I don’t know who it could have been.” Eitan sighed, “Another nurse maybe? Is it gone now? If it is then that’s a good thing – we’ll try and keep it that way.”

Chrono looked around, noticing Kaden was not hovering anywhere near Blaise like he had since he'd awakened here. That was definately troubling.
"What about Blaise or Kaden?" He asked, stepping cautiously towards their slumbering comrade.
"I don't think its Blaise, but I can't say for sure... and Kaden... he's not even here..." Chrono said slowly.
"What's going on?!" Rosette asked.
"Someone here may be possessed."
That stopped Rosette dead in her tracks. The idea of that had her horrified into silence.

Eitan shook his head, “No, not Blaise. There would be no point. She’s injured and next to useless right now. It sounds terrible but it’s the truth. Even if she were to wake then we’d notice anything odd right off. Kaden . . . I’m not so sure. Like you said he’s not here and . . . oh, this worries me so.”
Eitan looked back to his wife sleeping in the chair. Uneasiness swept over him and he sighed.
“I’m sorry you two . . .” He said to Chrono and Rosette, “But I have to get home. I need to take care of Adelaide and I can’t leave my kids alone anymore as I have been. Don’t worry, this place is safely guarded, you should all be fine . . .” he let his voice trail off and shuffled his feet uncomfortably.

"But... Eithan you can't go yet!" Rosette said fearfully. She sounded genuinely terrified, even though she had not known these facts for more than a few minutes,"What if something happens... all this..."
"I'll protect you." Chrono told her,"You can trust me, I will let no harm come to you, but you need to keep calm if we want to figure this out."
Rosette looked at him nervously, but nodded. If it came too it, Chrono would have to step in. But Rosette was terrified of loosing another person. She'd lost enough already.... Having this happen again would be too much, and if it was Kaden...
She didn't want to think about what they'd have to do...

“I’m sorry, Rosette.” Eitan sighed, “I can’t stay here all night. If I could then I definitely would. But my children need their mother and me to be home. I can’t bring them here, they won’t sleep, and if I’m gone then they are alone . . . I’m terribly sorry. Chrono is right, he will keep you safe – he’s good at that. Just trust in him, and try to get some sleep. There are guards at every entrance; anyone suspicious will not be let in. You will be safe.”
Eitan made sure to say all these things to not only make Rosette feel better but to make himself feel better. He was really worried; anything could happen, and he couldn’t be there to help. But he had to do what he had to do. Chrono could take care of things.
Eitan lifted Adencia from the chair and she didn’t so much as sleep mumble. He held her strongly and looked reassuringly to the other two.
“I’ll be back early in the morning to check on things and I’ll check in the middle of the night if it will make you feel better, but I really have to go. I’m very sorry. Try and relax and get some rest, you both need it. Goodnight.”
Eitan reluctantly turned and left and carried Adencia home.

Kaden – or rather the being in his body – sat at a distance from the hospital wing hidden from view. He was watching the guards at the back door, plotting his tactics. He was keeping his signature reserved knowing that Chrono, being a demon would be able to sense him otherwise. Just as soon as the demon and the Messiah were asleep, he’d be able to go in, get Blaise, get the information he needed, kill her, and be off. That’s all it would take.
Everything seemed so ridiculously simple – even the guards at the doors wouldn’t a sound as they fell to the ground dead. How false their sense of security was, it made him want to laugh. Looking to the sky Kaden could see the moon rising higher. It wouldn’t be long now; the other two would be asleep in no time. As soon as he got his information it wouldn’t matter if the Foresters were the greatest army in the world, they would fall at the feet of the Empire.

Rosette paced nervously aroudn the room as Chrono sat, watching her with slight boredom.
"You need to get some sleep." he told her flatly.
"How am I supposed to sleep with all this happening?!" She snapped,"It's starting again! They-!"
She paused before speaking in whispers.
"They're after us again!" She hissed,"They're going togo through all these foresters to get us! I thought they were after us because of what happened, but what if it's because of that whole Messiah thing?"
"Frettimng about it until you're blue in the face won't help." He told her,"And I can tell your tired. The bags under your eyes could carry a week's worth of food."
"Hardy har har." She replied, sitting down in the edge of her bed beside him.
"What do you expect me to do... We've already had to abandon people to protect them. I think we'll have t do it again to help these guys."
"We can't, they need you, Rosette. They have nothing without you." He said, putting an arm around her shoulders.
"I don't know if I can do it..." Rosette said, resting her head on his shoulder. She couldn't ever remember it being high up enough for her to rest her head on."I don't know if..."
Chrono smiled a little as Rosette dozed off right there. It was funny, she really could sleep anywhere if she wanted to.
Chrono tucked Rosette in and went to sit in a chair across the room. He blew out the candles around the room, and was planning to keep up all night to let them sleep. yet even he had been up for a while, and it wasn't long before the soft music of the party goers outside lulled him into a light sleep as well.

Kaden waited patiently, persistently. It was hours passed the time he saw the lights go out all around the forest. No one would be awake at this time. Pulling his bow, he nocked an arrow and took aim. He let go and the arrow flew for its mark, instantly killing one of the guards at the door. The second guard didn’t even live long enough to watch his comrade fall.
The Forester slinked into the hospital wing, keeping to the shadows. His footfalls were silent; his movements undetectable. Kaden was soon where he needed to be. Cautiously he lifted Blaise from her bed – she was still in too deep a sleep to be responsive. Perfect.
Kaden was gone as quickly as he had come. Without a trail, no one would know it was him.
~ * ~
An Eaveshire elf hurried into the hospital wing. It was nearly daybreak and the room was dimly lit, but he could still see what he wanted too – and didn’t want to. Of the three patients only two were present. The Lieutenant was gone. He swore loudly and called for the other with him to go get Eitan. The two of them were to relieve the guards at the back door of their duty. They were in for quite a surprise; they found the two guards dead.
Eitan came rushing in not two minutes later.
“Oh no . . .”
~ * ~
Blaise fought to wake up as cold water was splashed on her. The anesthetics continued to try and do their job as she tried to push them away. Her thoughts were confusing and unfocused and she couldn’t move. She soon found the reason why. Her wrists and ankles were tied and she was nearly hanging from the ropes binding her hands. Something hit her cheek sharply, almost clearing her head a little more. When she opened her eyes she did not expect to see such a person standing before her.
It was Kaden. But at the same time, it wasn’t. He was different; his eyes were much darker. He had a crossbow trained on her, smiling cruelly.
“Who are you?” she demanded hoarsely.
“You know very well who I am, love.” He replied. Even his voice was slightly different, “Call me Kaden.”
“Liar!” she spat, her voice displaying more strength and bravura then she could physically hold. All of her dizziness was now gone, adrenaline ridding the remains of the anesthetics from her system.
Kaden cocked an eyebrow, “Very good, you know your friends well. Not that it matters anymore, you won’t live long enough to see them again. Now if you cooperate then I’ll kill you quickly. Give me the information I need. Now, tell me. Give me the exact location of every existent Forester post.”
“You might as well kill me.” Blaise seethed, “I’ll never say a word.”
“No matter,” Kaden smiled, “My mistress will be here soon.”

"Chrono sat up with a jolt as an elf shook him awake. There first thing he saw was Rosette still sleeping soundly in her bed... and that Blaise's was empty. "What the hell?!" he shouted as he stood up. He'd fallen asleep? HE'D FALLEN ASLEEP?! He'd promise to keep watch over the both of them, how could this have happened?! ~ * ~ "I'm already here..." said a soft voice. The being who'd spoke remianed hidden the shade of the large trees around him, but it was easily seen that this being was the same size as a regular human. The only differance in her appearance was the pair of long, thin horns protruding from eitherside of her head. Kaden lowered his crossbow and stepped closer to the woman as she appraoched them. She hugged him and greeted him warmly as if he were her son. "You've done so well." She complimented, holding one of his hands. he took it and kissed it. "It was as you order, mistress, but the human has yet to reveal the location of the other forester post." "We have one of their most important leaders here. Sooner or later we'll get what we wanted." The woman said, looking at Blaise with a satisfied smile. "Hmmm... I can smell him all over you, and the girl... You've been around them recently. Interesting. I never thought I catch that traitorous b*****d and his little human b***h's scent ever again..."She said, touching Blaise's cheek with her fingers. She had no nails, her fingertips were narrowed into sharp claws. "Maybe I won't have to eat you after all. I could put another one of my babies on you and have you lead the Foresters in your command to death." Spider lady
