Khorne and Slaanesh have a rivalry(Slaanesh sees khorne as being unrefined, Khorne sees Slaanesh as too soft) And Nurgle has a rivalry with Tzeentch (Nurgle is all about decay and death, Tzeentch is change and evolution)

Oh, alright. Thank you for clearing that up.
So then ya I guess, Tzeentch and Khorne will work fine. (heh, 50/50 shot...you got lucky. Who likes paired games that wouldn't actually work.)

I think it'd be rather good. Like...in Lord of the Rings, Elves and Man put aside differences for the great good. That was a cracking last battle, was it not?
cool

Obvious answer: No. It says no. So no.
neutral

Fluff behind it: Khornate worshippers believe in the spilling of blood, and the collection of skulls for the mantle beneath Khorne's Brass Throne. This can only be properly achieved by decapitation.

Similie: You can't blow up a Kosher Cow.

Oh, wow. I wasn't aware of that rule beforehand. Thats good to know...even less shooty khorne armies. I keep wandering why so many Chaos Space Marine players play them. I think I'd much rather go for Slaneesh or Nurgle. Well, then again I am a huge Close-Combat fan. So...I guess I would of deffinately considered them.

i love chaos so much that i hate them. i love their rules, the fluff, and painting/models but the thing is i can't make up my mind which army to use. one month i really what to do a khorne, the next i wanna do a nurgle, and the next word bearers, etc.

I'm doing a Death Guard army, purely because of the colour scheme and the fluff behind it. Check out my madd painting skillz in either of the Exhibition threads in the Painting subforum.
It allows a lot of room for conversions, and I just feel that they're good minis.

I don't like Khorne that much. Yeah, they're strong, but Nurgle have that sombre sense of tradgedy. I just...don't see a Khorne Amry lasting too long.
Death Guard are also well balanced, like Slaaneshi armies. Khorne are speed and close combat, where as Nurgle have True Grit, and Nurgle's Rot, allowing them to have a lot of mid range and close combat abilities. Then there's Slaneesh, and they have a bit more of a long range thing, and finally Tzeench, and they're just magic and shooty, but they have two wounds each. They're all good to me, except Khorne. I just don't like them.

If you're strugging, do whatever you want, and then field them as Elites for an Undivided army.

Not much for Hand to hand huh?
Setq, you play ultramarines and love chaos fluff, and want to play a chaos army? Where did you go wrong. wink

Anyway, Mykal...as I asked in another forum, are plague marines very hard to paint and model...I've heard they are but I'm not sure they quite look it to me. I mean, they do look a bit harder than normal marines, but not much?

This is my favourite one. And only one so far. But I did it first because it was the most interesting model. Sorry I keep e-whoring it, but I really am proud of thissun.
It's not terribly hard. The hard part is the blending and mixing of the colours. It'd difficult to say. Ink washes are really handy because they can create sexy texture and shade areas. Drybrushing is a great skill to have. one reason I like Death Guard is that they don't need the extreme highlighting found on Chaos/Space marine minis. Black Tempars is a prime example. A line of white/grey on the black. It's too solid for me. I like the sfamato (sp?) effect you're 'allowed' to use when doing Plague Marines.
They also give a lot of scope for conversions. Like I say, I'm more a moddeler than a gamer. But I'm working on it. Just a note, I use a matt varnish to prevent the paint from chipping, because they are metal. Doesn't always work, but it does help.

That's a lame excuse. Backpack, front and back, one head of many, two shoulder pads and two arms, and then some legs, on a 20mm base. They're primarily exactly the same unit.
Black Legion take even less time to paint, because they only need silver and cold trims. But you are right about Ultramarines being sexond best. Maybe even third. If I was to do a marine armt, I'd do Imperial Fists, then Dark Angels, then try out my own. Ultramarines are just too..."MOMMY CAN I HAVE SUME WARHAMMERS" for me.
Another reason I did Death Guard. Rarely seen.
