People are quick to condemn them, but then again, Warhammer 40,000 isn't just a game. It's a whole fictional universe and its only fair to say that if they're Genocidal and nigh-on unstoppable murder machines in the Fiction, then they should be in the game, too >:3

Caleidah That said, Monoliths have been made nigh on indestructible with new damage tables. Yes, but you have to pretty much be playing Apoc. for THAT to come in, haha...
Also, Farseer, yes, I want the Necrons to get more and become more of an impact in the universe. But till then, I've got another army I can dabble in for the time.
I will miss my army till changese are made though...I do LOVE my necrons.

Saddly until GW De-nerf the necrons they will be in my oppinion kind worthless I origionally wanted to play as necrons hence the name. but my local hobbie store let me run a game as them (they had 3 people helping me with the rules cause i had never played before) and they were wiped out no matter what tactics i tried! so it is with a heavy cybernetic heart that i mourn for my lords visions of rescuing the vistims of life, that they will have to wait, but that is of little consequence we have slumbered for eons what is time to us?

While yes, Necrons do have a hard lot in 5th and are difficult to win with, I think not playing them on the basis of your first three games with a borrowed army is not exactly a fair judgment. I won exactly one game in my first 5 months of playing Tau, and it was against someone who didn't know the rules. In friendly games, just asking your opponent to allow your Necrons to count as Stubborn makes them move more in line with how they functioned in 4th edition, though their AT-firepower is still lowered.

One thing that worries me about Necron development as an army:
How are they going to get new units? All that has been seen in any of the fluff thus far are Warriors, Wraiths, Lords, Destroyers, Monoliths, etc. Are tombs going to, all of a sudden, start releasing new Necron bodies? Something big will have to happen for them to start releasing new units.

Something big will have to happen for them to start releasing new units. The fluff is that all current Necron units are basically harvesters. We haven't seen a single actual soldier unit yet. Despite the frightening appelations bestowed on the units in the codex, the current Necron unit selection is basically farmers with hoes, farmers with shovels, farmers on atv's and farmers in a combine. All you need is a little bit of fluff on how Necrons have encountered heavier resistance than expected, and voila, an excuse for some new, more powerful units. On top of that, Necrons have practically zero wargear. All you need is a few options for each unit, say something about how individual Lords/C'tan tinker with Necron design from time to time, and bam, done. On top of that, there's always the route of recruiting; all the Pariahs are already written as being from human stock. Make a few units crewed by Pariahs and you've got more units.

That really is something terrifying to think about, Oryn. Also, thanks for the fluff lesson. It's just...huh. That totally disregards what I have formerly thought about Necron structure.
So, that aside, what would you guys like to see in the next Necron codex?

For the love of The Deciever, More C'tan!
Or perhaps some alternate HQ choices. Lords are good, but maybe some more specialised leaders would be useful...

Well here's what I want...
1) Flayed ones moved to troop choice 2) Other 2 C'Tan 3) Pariah point reduction/considered Necrons 4) Heavy destroyers with 2 wounds 5) more heavy tanks 6) PENETRATION GUASS BACK

One thing that I'd like to see them pick up is a greater choice of Wargear with a greater span of abilities. From what I've seen, most Necron lists include the same basic Lord and block of Warriors. Something that would be cool to see would be a sort of heavy trooper, something with a little more punch than Warriors.
However, if they include more "heavy" units, I can see the rules on autowound rifles taking some flak with only the more dedicated attack units picking up the Gauss Rend.

The Void Dragon alone would shatter the Adeptus Mechanicus and they'd have to do yet another Space Marine Codex...and for the love of the Deciever we don't need another one of those! As for the Outsider, um...he'd have to be, how can I put this simply...Ludicrously and Insanely over powered!!! With the paraih, they don't need to be considered Necrons (as par with the WWB rule) however I believe they should be able to move via the Monolith and Veil of Darkness Destroyers and Wraiths should totally be two wound models...no arguments what so ever The only vehicles we need added are Obelisks ( Datasheets)...I am not including the Pylon because that already basically exists

Rumors that I've seen:
Flayed Ones will go to Fast Attack Scarab Swarms become Troop options Pariahs get cheaper Lord with Warscythe can add in other weapons. Staff of Light has a new effect Lords can be mounted on Wraith bodies. Lords come pre-packaged with a 5+ Inv Some new foot infantry for the next stages of awakening
