This rock felt a little different thant he other, heavier maybe? He couldn't pinpoint what the difference was but in a moment, he'd know that it made a difference. The stone didn't accept his chakra as willingly as the other one had. In the end, it was thicker than its brother and needed a bit more force than the other stone needed. Roy didn't deduce that in time and when he flung the ball, he knew instantly that it wasn't going pop. He didn't even bother hiding behind the stone like before. Instead, he simply sighed a bit and looked to it roll a ways off. Waiting a few moments, just in case the stone was actually just a delayed reaction, he moved closer at a slow pace. He moved closer and finally picked it up. He could feel the last bit of his chakra flowing out of it since he wasn't applying it anymore. He decided to let it completly drain and then try again.
As the last bit drained out, he moved back to his ready spot and toseed the ball a few times into the air. It bounced in his hands a few times and soon he clinched it and began to apply his chakra to it again.

This time around, Roy wouldn't make the same mistake as to not apply enough chakra. He made sure to push up the voluem on it a bit and apply a greater amount of chakra this time around. He felt a little resistance from the stone but that was eaisly negligible. He simply grined to himself as he made the ball ready for another assault. Considering granites thicker makeup, this made the application of chakra harder but not impossible. He began to form the right chakra networks inside the rock and soon tossed it into the air. He moved quickly to get behind the stone and not a moment to soon as the ball exploded only seconds after being thrown. A piece sailed right through his hairband, cutting it in two. He hit the ground on the other side and covered his head as he waited for the noise to finish. He knew now that his next situation would be controling the bursts because he knew he wouldn't alwasy have a protection berrier like this boulder.
After getting up from the blast, he moved over to look at the results. Again, there were several pieces of stone shards stabbed into the ground and softer rocks all over the place. It was definatly becoming a rousing success albiet a bit dangerous. He would finish this bit of training and then work on conrol and things of that nature later. He looked around for another stone and picked it up and began the chakra implementation process again.

This stone gave way to Roy's manipulation in no time at all. It seemed almost willing to be at Roy's command. He could only dream of having more stones like this in the future. This would be perfect for future applications but this was the here and now. He had to stay focused or loss all control over the stone and the chakra being forced into it. Glancing into the palm of his hand, the stone was a good deal bigger than the item holding it but htat wasn't the issue. More stone meant more shrapnel which meant more potential for damage.
It was finished, filled to compacity and the chakra inside was accelerating. Roy had sent it into it's final activation. Reeling back his arm he let the ball go flying in a horizontal direction. He had a pretty good throwing arm from all the shuriken practicing he had done. It went flying across the ground almost perfectly parralle to the ground. Soon, he hopped behind the boulder for saftey to hear a large explosion like sound. It was quickly followed by the sound of several smaller items stabbing into something. It was a pretty awkward sound but it was still perfect.
Getting up from his hiding place, he looked around to survey the area. It was complete carnage as far as he could see. The stone had splintered perfectly and had more than enough force to stab into the surrounding implementations. This was vicious and Roy was loving it. He got a little giddy but he couldn't let it last as he knew this wasn't a perfect thing. He still needed to work to make this kind of sceen a completly casual thing. Moving around the feild he found another stone on the ground and lifted it to his hands. He bounced it around in his hand a bit and grinned as he began the filling process again.

Of course, being happy is always good thing but sometimes it can come a bit prematurely. And this was one of those times. The stone was being filled with chakra but not in the proper way. Roy hadn't paid enough attention to what he was doing still on the high of that perfect attack last time. He moved and tossed the rock into the air and hopped behind the boulder. However, as he did, he heard a poping sound a bit early. He waited a few more moments to see if he'd hear anything else but there was nothing. Peaking out from behind the stone, he saw a pile of dust and useless splinters. He hadn't applied the chakra in the proper format and thus, was useless. That was a bit disheartening...but very little. Roy was still happy from his previous achievement. If anything, that only humbled him enough to pay attention from now on. He moved to find another stone and soon lifted one from under a larger rock. He took it in hand and began to apply the chakra again. Paying attention this time.

This stone resisted him quite a bit though. It was a piece of sandstone that had been here for quite some time. over the timeline it was worn away to its most hardened core and fit well within Roy's hand however, the stone still shattered in his hand. That was a little bit much for him but he didn't mind it. After all, it wasn't a large stone so it didn't shatter into huge pieces. He lett he sand moved from his hand and smiled anyway. He was getting a bit weiry from all this training with the stones and figured it was about time to switch trainings but he'd first complete one more attempt at this. Finding the stone he had first failed with earlier today, he picked it up and gave it another go.

[[pass and day 8 complete]]
Roy had began the reapplication of chakra to this ball and found it a bit...ummm...well a bit intresting to say the last. This wasn't going to be somethign he was able to do with releative ease either. But, even with all that, he was still able to do it. Again, the stone resisted him but he was able to apply enough chakra just in time for the toss. He moved behind the boulder again with only miliseconds to spare before it burst. A good amount of shrapnel flew over his head and into the boulder but not a lot it had the force it needed to stick. Roy didn't mind though. Before he came out from behind the rock, he decided to take a quick break.

[[Day 2 Training]] [[DC10 -5 each day]]
After resting up a bit, Roy soon got up from his place behind the rock and moved around to the front. He glanced around this place and figured trying to train the Shunshin here would be pretty dangerous and decided to try elsewhere. It would have to be easier in a less...ummm. Obstructed area. He looked about a bit and found another location, relativly flat, in the distance. he moved towards it and soon set up again. He placed his bag down and began to stretch. He yawned a bit from being at the pratice all day long. looking ahead a bit, he moved about a bit to get his legs working well enough and soon he stood there. Looking ahead, he began to place his chakra into his legs and soon took off from there.

The feeling of air flowing about his body once again enlightened him and made him feel free and agile. He was falling in love with this feeling and how the world about him moved quicker than it ever had. He had seen his mom gain this kind of speed before without enough realizing she was doing this...he could only immagine how strong she'd be now that she was taking Ninja training. But that was her life and this was his and they were, in their own way, different to their own extreams. he landed with is feet planted firmly near his bag althougha bit of a stumble did occure. He sighed a bit letting the feeling enthraul him for a moment more befor ehe began another attempt.

However, flight wasn't always something for everyone. He felt his chakra flowing through his legs like normal but then, just before taking off, he felt a bit mroe than normal push into his legs. He moved quickly enough but only for one long stride before crashing and burnning, basically literally. He hit the ground with a skid and rolled a bit before stopping. He wasn't about to let this get him down, he wanted to 'fly' again and so he sprang back up and tried it again.

Maybe he was suppose to stay grounded. This wasn't looking too good. Once again, the chakra of his body flowed into his legs and he took off with a strong forward momenten but it eventually stunted out and he began to crash and burn. He rolled a bit along the ground and growned as he sat back. Looking up to the sky, he felt a bit odd about hte whole situation and shook his head a little. Looking over to his bag, he slowly got up and moved back over to it. He set up and began to take off again.

Yep...staying grounded was definatly starting to seem like a more likly course than taking to that highs peed again. He just hated the thought of it though...of not taking to that kind of speed again. He enjoyed the rush he got from it so much. He knew that made him sound like a noob but still, he loved it. Moving as quickly as possible to recover from the fall, he bounced back up and soon reset himself for another attempt.

Then again, maybe he was meant to take tot he sky. Even with his heart as heavy as it was from the last couple of falls, he still got back up and tried again and he was rewarded. Granted, this attempted was all that pretty...in fact, it was downright hideous. He was having a hard time keeping his speed constant and eventually, just gave up on the attempt bu at least it was succesful for what it was. He moved back to the bag and began to apply his chakra again, pumping his chakra into his legs for another attempt.

This was...without a doubt, starting to get very annoying. He wasn't sure what was going on. Earlier, he was going perfect with his own jutsu but now this one was giving him the time from hell. He wasn't sure what was going wrong this time around. He found it a pain in the a** to attempt and even hader on the knees and legs. The constantly hard ground wasn't being of any big help either. he growled a bit as he laid there, feeling the ground below him for a long moment. He was getting down and hurt and decided only a few more tries and then he would be done with this for now. He got back up and tried it again.

Hit...miss...hit...miss, this constant roller coaster of attempts was starting to wear on him and his clothing. He knew he could do it, that part wasn't the problem. He just figured that maybe his body was tired from the earlier jutsu attempts, more tired than he thought. Of course, not all of it could be attested to a tired body. Some of the falls were due plain and simply from him not paying attention. He sighed a bit and looked about the area. There was no one around to laugh at him and that was...a booster to his moral strange enough. He decided to try a few mroe times and be done with it.
