Oh room for turkey at my house hehe. Mom always cooks tons of food hehe. Then again we don't have just the traditional turkey and stuffing, we get rice, and fried rice, and pad thai too lol. Tons of different and good food. I wonder if mom will make spring rolls this year. *sigh* Food.

Well, last year was our first Thanksgiving without family, so I made a special thing since we both don't like turkey, yuck.
I made a very asian inspired duck, one because we LOVE duck, and I wanted to incorporate my Chinese heritage into it, even if my dad didn't force the traditions and language upon me. I made red skinned mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts in a dijon sauce with it. I was so proud of myself!
I'm thinking about making some chinese dumplings for my ILs when I go back home for Thanksgiving, since they're all caucasian and I want to thank them for all they do.
EWWWW Macaroni and cheese and ketchup? Throw some hotdogs in there and that's ghetto spaghetti, nasty, we had to eat that when I was younger to try to get by. I'll only eat mac and cheese with lil smokies in barbeque sauce but as a side dish.

Well, you'd be welcome!! It was a really awesome recipe and the skin was nice and crispy. The breastmeat did have a tinge of pink to it, but I have read that was okay. I tried to make a cinnamon plum duck for Christmas, but it didn't turn out as well. sweatdrop
It was still way too much food for us! It was really nice though, the army gave us a voucher to get some Thanksgiving food at the commissary since he was low ranking and we were away from home.

*covets Luna's oriental cooking styles*
I'm going to have a social life today. I'm going to see how long I can tolerate my family and may be drink a beer. I'll probably stick with soda though. A lot of my family will be there though and I don't get to see them all that often.

lunashock Have fun Glitter. It usually doesn't take me long to want to strangle my family even when I missed them! xd I hope you have a good time though! Social lives are overrated. My son started crying over there and my grandmother insists he's spoiled. He was appaently still hungry.
