Just finished with the muffin in her mouth, Jessie reached her hand to the fox, setting her down on the floor, and grabbed her small coffee and cellphone as she left the cafe. Jessie stopped in front of the entrance of the cafe, taking another sip of her coffee before starting to walk somewhere else in the city. With the coffee cup in one of her hand, the other held the phone and chimed another ring alerting Jessie of another new message. Bachelor's party. Well damn, that's one event and with Chester being the DJ, guess she'll have to wait till evening to meet up with him. Kinda a long wait till they can hang out, but it's not like it's the end of the world and today was the only day they were going to see each other, so it didn't bug her. Jessie will probably have to maybe just take a walk around the city like what she is doing now, go do some errands like grocery shopping and what not, and then probably when she gets home, do some studying about being a vet. But as she planned of what to do until she can be with Chester, the next part of his message Jessie stared at it kinda confused and slightly smirked at it. Somewhere much more private, oh how she wondered why he wants to go into a more private place.
"Much more private? Is there such a place more private than at a house? But to answer that question, I don't know what places are more private. Do you have any clue?"
Sending the text, Jessie walked away from the cafe and headed somewhere else in the city and wherever her feet could take her.

Skye sipped at her coffee before she moved onto the piece of cheesecake. Finishing it fairly quick, she would then get started on her brownie. She had taken a very large bite out of it when a face she had been avoiding sat across from her. The raven haired woman just stared at Ryan, her mouth full of food, kind of making her look like a chipmunk. Her golden eyes stared at him. She really hadn't wanted to bump into Ryan again, especially not now with her skin being more pale than usual and her obvious lack of sleep. When he spoke to her, her face would go even more pale before she painfully swallowed the food she had in her mouth in one gulp. "Well I hadn't really been expecting you to be here." She mumbled, making it obvious that she had been actively trying to avoid him before taking a drink of her coffee and setting it back down. She would then glance at him. "I don't really feel like talking.." She stated, even though it would probably do her some good to talk maybe her statement was more of a 'I don't feel like talking to you right now' but actually saying that would have been very rude.

Even with her mouth full she had this sort of charm to her. Though he would have loved to have teased her and told her how she looked like an innocent school girl with a bad habit for sweets he couldn't be so light hearted with her now. He had some important things to talk to her about. "Well that's too bad to hear because I need you to hear what I'm going to say." Taking in a deep breath he steadied himself and looked her in her eyes, golden hues to match the spirit of the voice which speaks low and sternly. "I need a place to stay for a while and I need you to please let me stay the month."

Skye stared at the male across from her, a very slight frown on her face as she wondered what the male was going to say to her. She had darted off right after telling him her secret. The woman's golden eyes stared at him before she huffed a little again when he said she needed to hear what he was going to say. She wondered what kind of speech he was going to give her this time. Though what came from his mouth was something that she was not expecting. "Wait... What?" She said, clearly startled by his words. "You're not going to give me some sort of speech about what happened the last time we met," She questioned him, "and what do you mean about needing a place to stay?" She asked, her voice soft. Her look went from being annoyed to confusion and concern.

Right now he couldn't say much but he'd give her a shake of his head and say. "I can't talk about it out in the open." He'd sigh, his paranoia staring to get to him, and with crossed arms he'd slide a little in his seat to try not sticking out in the crowd so much. "I know you must have tons of questions, and I'm willing to answer them, but I can't tell you too much here. Please, take me to your home and I can explain everything there. After that...then you can decide wether or not to help me." With the sun catching in his gaze he stared at the girl, desperation written in worry, and there his golden eyes would beg please that she give him at least the chance to explain why he needs her.

Skye stared at Ryan, her head tilting to the side a little bit before the frown that had been on her face once before returned. He couldn't talk about it in public? Staring at him curiously, she hesitated for close to half a second as she stared at him before she nodded her head a bit. "Okay. Let's go." She said as she finished off her coffee and picked up her muffin to carry it home with her. While she wasn't sure about this, she could see the look of desperation on his face and knew that he was sincere in his request for help and he did sort of help her.

That tilt of her head let him know she was thinking about her answer and pondering curiously about him and his situation. He's talked to her long enough to know what that tilted her head meant, he just hoped that nothing would happen to her for her helping out a bum like him; Guilt building more upon Ryan's soul.
"Walk ahead and I'll catch up. I don't want people thinking you know me so I follow behind at a distance." He felt his old ways of a stray coming back to him again. The times in a ******** up city with a ******** up life come back to fruition once again. After Skye would leave he'd take a second, a deep breath and a scan around the window and made sure no bad guys or cops were around, and then he'd leave Moonbucks with nothing in hand and both hands in his pockets as he'd walk away.

Skye looked at Ryan before a slightly confused look crossed her face. "Um... Okay?" She said, confused as to why he would want her to walk ahead. Who could possibly follow them? She made another slight face before she took her muffin. Peeling off the wrapper, she tossed it in the paper before she nibbled at it as she pushed the door open and left the building. The walk to her home wasn't too long, so they would be there in no time.

Jessie's day was quite slow today and felt like it was still morning, but it was already the afternoon. After her trip to the grocery and to her place to drop off the bags, she was planning to rest up for a while, but she was not in the mood to rest and didn't felt that sleepy when she came home. Her companion fox did. She was kinda hyper in the morning, jumping around and checking places out like a kid out to play. When she got home the fox walked to her bed in the living room and dropped herself down on the bed, completely knocking out cold. That was some quick falling asleep, even Jessie couldn't do that. Animals were really amazing.. As the fox knocked out cold in her bed, Jessie walked out of her place after fixing all the grocery and grabbed a kinda big textbook from her room, a nursing book. She could have stayed home to study, but felt like going outside was much better than being at home, and she didn't want to wake up the fox from her sleep too.
Just few minutes or maybe like a hour pass, Jessie walked back into Moonbucks as a cup of ice tea sound good for her studying. She could have made her own tea, but it was a bit of a hassle to her to do. As the cashier finished up taking the customer in front of her their order, she greeted the female and quickly recognized her from earlier. It did feel kinda weird to go to the same cafe twice a day, though her feet kinda walked her there themselves, but nevertheless, Jessie ordered her cup of iced tea and waited in one of the tables till she was called for her order. Before opening her textbook, Jessie pulled her phone out of her bag, unlocking it, and clicked o the messages icon. It has been quite a few hours till her last text with Chester. He must be quite busy with work if she hasn't heard back from him. Jessie stared at the text from a couple of hours ago and questioned herself as to why he wants to see her in a much more private place. Just reading the text again, made Jessie laugh at how he worded it. Though as she waited till the baker dj to be finished with his work, Jessie sent him a small text.
"Hey, how's work going? Almost finish with your shift?"
As Jessie clicked the send button, her order was ready, took the cold iced tea back to her seat, placing her phone next to her and began to study her nursing textbook.
O.O.C: Sorry for the late reply, I get out of work late and kinda brain dead after work xP
I was feeling adventurous today, from where the sudden urge came I didn't know,perhaps it it was borne from the boredom of looking at my drawings as i sat at my desk. Whatever it was, it had provided me the necessary boost to finally check out the Moonbucks cafe in Cerise, knowing I'd never step a foot in Cerise on any other day. I had heard of Moonbucks from Charmblr, the multitude of meals patrons posted on the site made me curious, they looked delicious, perhaps even smelled delicious, but were they worth it? I would soon find out, I mused, as I carried my tray--upon which sat my $4.25 lunch(?)--to the nearest table, which had a comfortable view of the projection the management had set up, my thoughts that morning was clearly in disarray.
Proof?
I was halfway seated when I had finally noticed a another patron at the same table, her blonde pink hair fashioned into a long braid, encircling her head like a crown. Thankfully, she was very into her reading to notice my intrusion. I straightened myself slowly, I was about to walk away, feeling rather satisfied with myself for avoiding a potentially awkward moment when I accidentally bumped into my seat, causing it to scrape against the floor. Damn, there was no way she didn't notice that. I look to meet her eyes, a nervous smile embracing my lips as always as I spoke, 'I apologize, I didn't notice you were here...I'll take my leave.'

Jessie completely in full study mode, didn't notice people walking in and out of the cafe and just stayed focus on the textbook in front of her. She did here and there checked her phone a couple of time, checking if any messages went through while she was studying, but sadly nothing came up to her phone. Guess work was really busy for Chester, oh well, can't be help since it is work after all. Jessie has been quite absent from her job, taking consent leaves, and surprisingly hasn't been cut off from the job. She should start attending her job soon, she didn't want to get cut off and it was the only place that can help her grow her learning experience if she wanted to achieve the goal of being a nurse. Though as she continued studying, a small screechy sound came to play near her, making the girl jumped a bit. Jessie turned her head to the culprit that caused the sound.
Jessie looked at the female as she gave the girl a kinda embarrassed smile at the sudden sound the chair made. "Uhh.. It's okay. You didn't bother me at all. The sound did kinda startled me a bit", Jessie said as she gestured the female to have a seat at the same table she's at, "This seat isn't taken, so feel free to seat here." As she offered the seat to the female, Jessie took her iced tea off the table and rose the cup to her mouth, taking a few sips from the cold beverage and took a small glance at the tray the female was holding. "Must be that time already for lunch huh?"
I felt rather guilty for disturbing the woman's focus, especially a medical student...perhaps a nurse even judging by the book she read. I held quite a degree of respect for the people pursuing this line of work; they saved lives. That was all there was to it and thus I gave them the respect that they were due. She offered me a seat at her table, which I wanted to politely decline at first, I could not bother her anymore than I did, but then she had asked me a question, I could not answer then take my leave could I? That would be very impolite. So I seated myself and set down the tray before clearing my throat to answer her, 'I'm sorry, again.' I repeated my earlier apologies, they weren't enough I deemed.'Yes, lunch,' I chuckled, gesturing at the slice of blueberry cheesecake with a fork.
'The hype surrounding this establishment had piqued my curiosity well enough for me to try, at least lunch.' I continued, noting the similar drink the woman was drinking. Iced tea was perfect for this hot day, I surmised, that and perhaps lemonade. 'Aah, I'm Evelyn, Evelyn Harper, a pleasure, Miss?' I stuck a hand out, a more confident smile bracing my features.

Nice to meet you" Hopefully the female doesn't react to hard on hearing her full name. She does feel a bit awkward to say her full first name, she kinda wondered what went through her parent's name into naming her that.
With the little introduction over, just moments later, Jessie's phone released a small vibrate and the classic bell ringtone sound made a little jingle. Unlocking the phone to see what new things arrived to her phone, Jessie pressed on the messages icon on the phone to reveal the new text message from Chester. Took him a bit to reply, though since he did change his job, guess DJing in the bar must be hard work. Four hours left of work. Not too long to wait anymore. Raising her phone a little off the table, Jessie sent a quick text to Chester.
'You are crazy busy today! Are we just gonna meet up in your place later after you're done"
After sending the text, Jessie locked her phone and placed it back on the table, then returned back to her book and to the company she had sitting at the table.
I nodded, thankful the woman didn't see it as much as a distraction as I had thought. Our hands parted, and I moved them to undo my scarf to set it carefully upon my lap.'Not really,'I answered with a sheepish smile, it felt quite embarrassing for me to admit. 'I've been here for quite awhile...I just a--life...' I chuckled, 'Work, commitments prevent me to enjoy the simple things.' I stifled a sigh in relief, there was no admitting I actively avoided social interaction outside of work, that would be... shameful? a disgrace?
I forced myself from my musings and swallowed lightly. Focus, Evelyn. I chided mentally.'Thank you,' My voice mercifully returned, I shared her sentiment, my parents were considerate enough to name me properly among other things...'Oh, Jezebel? That's a unique name, I haven't heard a name like that before.' I said, guiding a piece of cake towards my mouth. Odd though, she didn't appear to proud to bear the name, I scrutinized her features, careful to not reveal my intentions. It was as if she was readying herself for a sudden outburst from me, well she needn't for whatever reason. Perhaps the name had carried an undesirable definition, it didn't matter. I was not so low as to ridicule one for something as small as a name. Granted, it wasn't too jarring. I recollected my thoughts, the sweet taste of blueberry acquainting itself with my taste buds.
Damn, these were good. Perhaps I should order some more. I glanced towards the counter, and just as I was about to try and catch the attention of a waitress, I remembered my companion. My attention shifted to Ms.Jezebel , her eyes were glued to her book once again. 'Have you had lunch, Ms.Jezebel?'

When the female answered Jessie's question of recently moving in, Jessie nodded her head slowly as she stated work takes her time and have no time to enjoy the things around. That was quite understandable. Jessie has been going out of the city here and there, she missed a couple of things while she was gone, but hopefully this time she'll be able to stay put and continued to live life normally. Hopefully.. "You must be working in like some kind of high class sort of job, or something like that. Though understandable for that.." Jessie went to her job as the receptionist here and there for like a day or two in the week, but for minimum hours until something come up. Even though she may have not work for long shifts, she can still understand that, she has been studying for quite a while, so it was similar in a way.
Jessie's eyes lightly widen a bit as the female hasn't heard that name before. That was a very different response, though she was glad a bit to not see someone react badly at the name she was given. "Oh really? Haven't heard the name before? That's a relief a bit to hear heh", Jessie said as she laughed nervously and scratched the back of her head. Not a lot of people would react to the name, since it was just a name and she happened to be one of them. But as Jessie returned to her book, seconds later, the phone on the table buzzed again with a little bell jingle coming after. "Uhh... hopefully the vibration and sound doesn't bother you too much..", the girl said to her, grabbing her phone off the table and flip the phone to the front screen to cause the phone to ring.
New text from no other than Chester. He was replying a bit quick now, maybe he's in a break from his work before going back. Jessie read the text to meet up with the male. Poor guy is working his butt off on that party. Jessie smiled at the text, she didn't mind going to his place again, though since it has been a while from her last visit to his place, he may have to help her again into finding the place.
"Okie dokie!! I'll see you there. Don't work yourself too hard now, don't want to see you faint after that party! Also I think you may need to guide me to your place again since it has been a while when I came by to your place."
Sending the text, Jessie placed the phone, this time in her overall pocket. She didn't want the phone to keep making the little buzz sound on the table while she had company there in her table. Jessie rose her head back up after placing her phone in her pocket as her company asked if she had lunch. She had to retraced back her whole day to see what she was doing for the day and if she had something to eat. There was breakfast earlier this morning here at the cafe with her fox along her side, then grocery shopping, going back to her place to drop everything, then back at the cafe again in the afternoon. Her stomach didn't growl, so she must be alright, until a small rumble came in to answer Evelyn's question. "Guess my stomach answered your question." Jessie patted her stomach gently, before getting up from her seat to check out the menu of the cafe. Jessie ordered two slices of cake, one strawberry cake ($2.50), while the other one is a cheesecake ($2.75), after one warm chocolate muffin ($1.50). Jessie payed the cashier the rightful amount and asked the cashier to box the two cake slices and hand the muffin in a plate. Given the two slices of cake in a box and the muffin in a small plate, Jessie walked back to the table and placed the box on the table, following with the muffin.
