She misstep. Or he was getting better at predicting her moves. Either way, Lliote's blade slipped between her ribs and she dissipated into a thousand small wisps of fog. He did not linger.

He descended further and further into the fog. At one point, he thought he saw an arm, and then a leg, a hand too maybe. But then it's just fog again. All of a sudden, Lliote felt like he was being dragged down. He lost his balance and almost fell off the ledge.
Just as he was recovering from all the yanking, a hand reached out and covered his mouth. Lliote struggled to breath and clawed at the fog-hand. It had little effect but thankfully the fog receded once again.
Lliote continued onwards. He was suddenly overcome with the feeling of being watched. He looked around, but saw nothing. The feeling was suffocating. He wanted to scream.
He felt like he was being watched again. This time Lliote didn't feel like screaming, this time he screamed. But he heard nothing, as if the fog had swallowed the sound.
Something seized his calf as he was jumping from platform to platform. He tottered on the edge, but then it gave way and Lliote plummeted to the bottom... or rather, in what direction he supposed the bottom was because he was falling. And falling. And falling. There didn't seem to be a bottom.
But then, the fog grew thicker and slowed him down as if to catch him. He steps onto the ground of an island he can't see the perimeter of. But he does see the glowing orbs. He reached out and grabbed one and felt the warmth flow in.

Another vision, another memory took hold of him as he descended the steps. A liar, a betrayer, yet he cared not. Let them come. He would finish them all, one by one, and he would delight in it.
A gasp as it faded, and it shook him to the core. Were these about him? Or another? Why couldn't he remember?

The fog appeared, and as before, a sick sort of joy manifested in him. Let them strike first, let them be angry. It would only make their fall all the more enjoyable.
