'And isn't this post even better than what you could've hoped for?'
The principal's words rang short and bitter to his memory, but just as he had brutally repressed the urge to retort to the Hyuuga woman only mere minutes before, so did Fubuki Shinratsu continue to carefully maintain the calm facade needed to ensure continued hospitality from a foreign country as he strode swiftly down the Academy halls. After all, allied nation or not -- former ally, corrected his mind -- the Kage-regent was not a man with whom one should conduct business with half-heartedly. The innocent years that allowed for mischief was over the moment he left Iwa -- again a delusion, corrected his mind, for that had been the fate decreed since he first departed his native Kiri -- but if this was a dangerous political game the Nara Kage was preparing the grand stage for, then all the more he would have to be careful to ensure he is not robbed of secrets.
No. Absolutely not. Despite the event of circumstance, as ridiculous as it had been, he would not allow himself to be called traitor twice.
But then what is there to ascertain he is not already playing into the Nara regent's trap?
The arm that supported the folder that held the day's assignment crushed the envelope tighter to his body.
Cold, he felt cold... Always, in this place...in this village...he felt colder than he should. Even though Konohagakure, by the exception of a singular nation, was among the warmest of the globe. But could it be?
Could this be what that Nara is plotting?
He stopped in front of the classroom door, his fingers hovering upon the screen slider.
How absolutely ridiculous.
With a swift motion, he slid open the door.
A honor? That Hyuuga woman was delusional.
"Good morning. I see many of you have arrived early."
He would absolutely not allow himself to grow attached a third time.

-- Tama Maneki --| HP: 9 | CP: 10 | MHP: 10 | -- MokoMoko --| HP: 8 | CP: 3 | MHP: 5 | Moving into the classroom Tama listened to the idle chatter, much more interested in just simply observing for now. Making careful notes in her head she was careful to try and ascertain who exactly her fellow Konoha-nin were. While she would not be able to ascertain their fighting capabilities, one could learn how to take advantage of their personalities alone to tilt things into their favor. Many students took to conversing more, and unsurprisingly enough a few even started to practice the ninja-arts early. While Tama was eager, she was unsure of what the day had in store and instead opted to save her energy for later lessons.
Suddenly, Tama was acutely aware of the new additions to the students. The low growl from MokoMoko only confirmed her suspicions. Inuzuka.... Gritting her teeth together it was bad enough she would have to deal with one of them, but two? Observing which seats were still available Tama opted to choose a seat away from either of the mutt-boys. She could only hope she wouldn't be stuck on a squad with one of them.
It was only minutes before the rattling of the slider pulled her attention. When the man entered into the room, she realized this was to be their instructor and with a smile she nodded enthusiastically.
"Good Morning Sensei!" She chirped, wondering what sort of knowledge her instructor would impart to her today. Mokomoko simply curled onto her shoulder, not interested in the instructor but rather keeping a keen eye on the dogs that surrounded them.

Notwen Kenkomishi
Level 1 ~ Hp: 10 ~ Cp: 9 ~ MHp: 10
Notwen was surprised at how fast everything seemed to take place. After he and the other four newcomers had gathered, another male academy student escorted them down the hall and into the classroom. Once there, the room became a beehive of excitement. The owner of the voice that he had heard just briefly a few minutes earlier in the hallway telling those who could see the direction of the class was now under fire from Miyuki, who had introduced all the new students, and Sai. Apparently he had suggested that all the newcomers introduce themselves without introducing himself. Ultimately the older boy introduced himself as Inechi Shironaegi, preferably Shiro.
While that exchange was going on, two others had entered the room. The first individual came in and sat down at a desk Notwen perceived was somewhere around the back of the room, though he was not alone since two puppies were now running around people's ankles and yipping away playfully. One went in the direction the silent person went in while the other scampered over to where Miyuki had taken her seat. Another boy came in shortly after, muttering something about not being that much taller, and proceeded to head in the direction the second puppy had gone and began conversing with Miyuki. Sorain had found himself a seat somewhere near the front of the room, leaving himself and Sanyo the last two left standing. "Thanks for standing by me all this time, Sanyo." he managed to whisper to her just before a piece of paper landed in front of the two of them. Before he could make any other moves the door opened again, but instead of hearing another young voice, Notwen was surprised to hear a male adult. The sound of it made his heart skip a beat. A female student said good morning, adding sensei to the end of her salutation and causing the dark-skinned boy go rigid. "G-good morning, Sensei..." he managed to say.

"Punctuality..." He drawled, as with swift strides he made way to the blackboard. Deft fingers took up a piece of a chalk with all the grace of an aristocrat, and was forming characters onto the center with swift, smooth strokes. "...while a wonderful asset, much more appears to be..."
He turned from the board, cold blue eyes surveying Notwen Kenkomishi with a steely gaze.
"...lacking."
That wintry gaze shifted, before settling on the seat of Sorain Orasakai.
"Behavior..."
His brows furrowed. Shinratsu snapped his fingers, and in its place in the room, the paper glider tore itself to shreds as if torn by wind.
"...also leaves much to be desired."
And then he slowly folded his arms, his chin uplifting just a fraction - the only indication to the characters now neatly inscribed on the board.
Fubuki Shinratsu
"In Manabu Ko's absence, you are my students. We will attempt to tolerate each other until graduation."

Miyuki had just settled down into her seat when a projectile collided with the back of her head. “Ouch,” the young girl grumbled while turning around to look for the culprit. She scanned the room until she seen what looked to be the guilty face of Sorain. ‘That guy,’ the girl glared towards the young boy for several minutes before being distracted by the classroom door being opened. At that moment, the young boy Notwen leaned over whispering a thank you for standing by his side. However, he called her by the name Sanyo instead. "My name is Miyuki?" She looked at him questioningly. Of course, she couldn't be too mean to him seeing as he couldn't put a name to a face in his situation. The young girl returned her attention to the door quickly. This person seemed to be much older than anybody else here in the classroom. This was undoubtedly the instructor of the academy.
‘Finally,’ Miyuki felt somewhat relieved of the situation. She could forget about all of the irritating things that had happened so far and attempt to concentrate on solely her studies. “Good morning, Sensei!” Miyuki chimed happily; however, her tone for the class quickly changed when the instructor seemed very sullen and hateful. Why choose such a profession if you are going to act in such a manner.
Miyuki shrugged it off holding her head in her left palm.

Sai Orasakai Lv 1 ||| Hp 9 ||| Cp 10 ||| MHp 10 ||| Sai simply sat in his seat, the button carefully being flipped in between his thumb and index as he silently listened to the teacher. Not sure what to say in response he muttered a good morning along with Miyuki before sitting back in his chair and awaited for the class to start. Hopefully it wouldn't be much longer, he was itching to get into some actual training.

Sorain Orasakai Lv 1 ||| Hp 9 ||| Cp 10 (9)||| MHp 9 ||| Sorain looked up in shock as the paper glider ripped into tiny shards and rained down like snow onto the floor. Gulping once, Sorain turned his attention to the head of the class where the Sensai was standing. "Did he do that? He didn't even use any hand seals" he thought to himself as he sat upright in his seat. The class hadn't even started yet and already he was being looked at like a bad egg, but in his defense they had all been here for little over an hour, and it was, for most of them at least, the first day of training. It should be expected that kids their age would be lacking in the area of patience.

With a muttered thanks Kalmet shimmied into his seat, setting his stuff under the desk. After making sure it wouldn't sprout legs and run away, the boy looked up to greet Miyuki, his smile a little less forced. "My," he started, noticing she was focusing on a kid two rows back. "Name's....Kalmet," he trailed off, slinking down into his seat until he was level with his neighbour. The boy held back a sigh, mentally kicking himself. Remus, in response, hopped up onto the desk and stared at his master, his eyes wide and curious. The dog's tail suddenly started to wag and Kalmet's face was greeted with the dog's tongue.
The buzz of conversation suddenly halted and every head turned to the door. Wide eyes and hushed whispered followed the man who strode to the front of the room. He walked with purpose and dignity. But he smelled like he didn't want to be there. Remus watched the man, the dog's mouth split into a grin. He was about to bark, but Kalmet quickly covered his mouth. "Pick your battles," he muttered in his partner's ear. Remus shrunk down and the entire class listened to their instructor. 'Great. Day one, and we're already being scolded.' Kalmet's pre-teen instincts took over him, his eyes rolling in disdain, his gaze drifting to the window. Today was gonna be a long day.

To the two students whom gave him their names, his eyes lowered just slightly so, stiff posture relaxing barely noticeably, as he committed their names to memory. It was not because he gave particular weight to their faces but remembering would increase the efficiency of surveying attendance at a later time. Speaking of attendance... He took a step forward, and his eyes sharply glanced back at the clock above the board. There were only a few minutes left before the first bell, as Principal Hyuuga left him precious little time with that extended meeting with which she took painful lengths to debriefing, but he supposed it didn't hurt to start a little early.
Very well then, he will take attendance during homeroom, before lunch period, to allow time for the stragglers whom would probably have the gall to arrive late. By then, he was certain he would already have a few more names from these children during the various activities planned for the day. Needless to say, even without them giving him names immediately, some details were not hard to connect together - for example, there was only one Hyuuga on the roster the principal handed to him - and even if he spotted a rather sorry to look at lump on an immediate survey, if lineage was to receive any credit at all, there may be hope yet he might make that one a shinobi.
He let out a slow breath.
"Take out a piece of paper."
He waited for them to move.
"This is your homework assignment for tonight: I want to see a three paragraph essay of why you are here."
It would help him too, to see a little of their motivations, before figuring out what to do with them.
((Pm to me. Further notes in chatterbox.))

Sai Orasakai Lv 1 ||| Hp 9 ||| Cp 10 ||| MHp 10 ||| Sai stifled a sigh, homework already? They hadn't even gotten into the first of lessons and they were receiving homework... Shrugging off his internal complaint, he reached down with lazy fingers pulling out a notebook from his bag and a pencil from his pocket. Scribbling the assignment quickly onto the first blank page in his messy hand writing, he turned his eyes back onto the principal and raised his hand, "Excuse me, sir... What is the agenda for today?" He questioned, hoping that it might inspire the man to begin the class already.

-- Tama Maneki -- |LVL: 1 | HP: 9 | CP: 10 | MHP: 10 | -- MokoMoko --|LVL: 1 | HP: 8 | CP: 3 | MHP: 5 | A small frown graced Tama's features, and while she hadn't expected the teacher to coddle them (They were to be ninja after all) she also hadn't expected him to be so withdrawn from the students. With a mental shrug she followed his instructions, taking out a piece of paper and making notes on what he expected from the students. Homework already? They hadn't even really started class yet. Finishing writing she turned her attention back up.
MokoMoko, unsatisfied with her spot on Tama's shoulder climbed down and curled onto her lap, closing her eyes and expecting this lesson to last for a while. Idly Tama ran her fingers through Moko's fluffy hair, pulling out another piece of paper and preparing it for the following lesson. Although she realized it was likely she would not personally like the teacher because of his detached and uncaring attitude, she also knew that she was here to learn, and that she couldn't let her personal feelings get in the way of her schooling.
With a wry grin Tama scribbled herself a small note, Do not let personal feelings get in the way of duty. It was a simple lesson, but perhaps an important one for the field she had chosen to go into. Hearing one of the boys from earlier speak out, she turned her attention to the teacher. She was curious as well, to know what todays activities were going to be.

The boy immediately went for his bag, then stopped. Kalmet glanced up at the teacher, his expression showing slight confusion, his head tilting to the side. 'Why do we need to get paper out,' He thought. 'For the homework?' He shrugged and got it out anyway, on the off chance he would need it later. One of the kids from earlier blurted out about the lesson plan, causing Remus to look at him and bark happily. Kalmet smiled and patted the dog until he was quiet, taking no longer than a few seconds.

Chinsana LV. 3 Experience: 125/200 Hp: 21 Cp: 30 MHp: 27 Pakku leaned over and grabbed a piece of paper, writing the assignment on it. "You might as well go for a run or something Chisana, it looks like we're going to be stuck in here all day." Pakku said as he looked out a window, he hated being cooped up inside. Chisana, who had returned to her partner and was laying at the foot of his desk, looked up at him with a wag of her tail. Getting up Chisana ran over to Remus, jumping up and biting playfully on his ear. Pakku meanwhile wrote himself a note on his paper, it was his nindo. Protect your friends until your last breath. He'd learned it from the runt of the litter, Chisana, and would never forget it.

“Take out a piece of paper.”
Miyuki quickly complied pulling a small notebook from one of the pouches on her legs, as well as a writing utensil. She looked intently towards their sensei awaiting his orders. This would be the first assignment that he assigned to the class. It was his first impression on the kids that were in his classroom. The young girl had to make sure that her work was extremely impressive. She was well aware that her physical prowess was lacking, so she had to prove that she was capable in other manners.
“This is your homework assignment for tonight: I want to see a three paragraph essay of why you are here.”
‘That is it?’ Miyuki smirked while watching as everyone began to express their disappointment at the sentiment of having homework. After a few moments, Sai began to ask sensei about the agenda for today. He had been standing at the information bulletin with the entire group not long ago. Had he really not taken a look or perhaps, he had another reason for his actions?
