Hopelessness. It was a feeling that perhaps most of those present had felt at some point in time in their tenures as sailor-suited defenders of love and justice. Certainly some of them were feeling it now as the Great Monster absorbed the precious lives of those they had tried so valiantly to save. Further and further they were backed towards the palace in a group, surrounded on all sides, falling further and further into a defensive position rather than offensive.
Simply put, they were losing.
Someone's voice in the group, it was impossible to really know whose it was, spoke in utter desperation. "We need more help! Isn't there anything left?!" Well all you'd had to do was ask! No sooner than the cry for help echoed across the rainbow road that it responded. Those souls that had been strong enough to resist the pull into the monster, though there were fewer of the golden beings than before. It was enough.
The bubble formed again over the heads of those knights and senshi who still stood to defend the Surrounding. It was thinner but no less deadly to those on the inside or outside should they try to cross that forbidden barrier. They were safe in the entrance hall of Chronos Castle thanks to the shield -- safe, but also trapped. It was only a matter of time before their protection would fade and they were left to fend for themselves again.
What were they going to do now?!
The Order and Chaos sides are separated by a barrier that's impenetrable... for now. Senshi and Knights are inside Chronos Castle, while Negaverse and DMC are outside. You can still see and hear each other through the barrier!

Pasiphae immediately looked at Nyx when she heard her friend's voice, and a surge of needed relief came. She punched another Negaverse officer aside to reach her, and she immediately reached out to embrace her friend--quickly, as there wasn't much time to spare, "Nyx... I was afraid I had lost you."
Lost, as so many others had been lost. She fought back the negative emotions within her, however, as she heard a call to group around the Princess. She looked to her friend and asked her opinion, "What... do you think we should do? I was beginning to attack officers but... but regrouping sounds like the smarter thing to do?"
And then the barrier came up, which mean they couldn't attack the agenst of Chaos anyway. But she wasn't complaining--she was grateful.

When Scylla lashed out to try and pull away, Leto grabbed her by the wrist with her left hand. Her right hand swung, faster and harder than Leto knew she was capable of, aiming directly for Scylla's face. She wasn't entirely sure if Wolframite would try and stop her, but she went ahead and attempted to punch Scylla in the face regardless. "I won't kill you. Only because Ares wants you to live... But that doesn't mean that I will have ANY mercy in this fight." Her deep red eyes flared with anger that her once-friend kept denying her attempts to have her see the light. Now General-King Zinkenite was behind her and speaking to Scylla as well. This was either her lucky day (if the two men were on her side), or s**t was about to hit the fan if they both decided to defend Scylla from Leto's punches. Then the bubble formed around them once again and Leto was thrown back, away from Scylla and outside the barrier.

Stumbling away Hephaisto's tried not to fall to the urge to look back, to see how Gunn would fair. She would do better then him, she had power, knowledge. She was ready to do this unlike he was. He couldn't stop though. He raised his arms whips of vines lashing out cracking at his chainmail causing him to groan as his right arm felt flesh and metal separate bringing forth a fresh well of blood to the surface of wounded skin. He saw someone new join their side, her cries reminded him of Elzo. Cocky. But amusing.
Stumbling through the chaos he found himself standing beside Cancer panting and bleeding. Horribly first introductions; thanks to Gunn he was able to give a first introduction. "Welcome to hell week..." he mumbled before standing up again rolling his shoulders. "Rule one; go after the ugly son of a b***h." Stooping down he grabbed another rock preforming a now reliable spin sending the stone flying towards the youma.
But the attack fell short as another barrier appeared, the stone sizzling away into dust as he threw it against the wall before dropping to his knees. His arm heavy and like a dead weight. "Or that could happen again..."Scrambling below Hel continued to push, shove, kick, not really aiming to harm but simply get free of the annoying Order warrior above her. Her fist hardly did a thing and she was falling behind. "Senshi Order, what does it matter you follow them like a fool!" She went to punch again but the barrier threw her back as it gently tugged the Page away into its caring embrace. Slowly she came to a stop in the dirt groaning at her rather sudden ejection. "Damn the order..."

******** a duck. This wasn't getting any better with time. Just how the hell did the negaverse even get that much energy? Cursing as she saw Scylla get bombarded, the General King was looking ready to kick her s**t in. Not good in the slightest. "Scylla!" Rushing over to her, he didn't need to worry long as a ne barrier formed. They were safe for now.
"s**t. Looking towards Virgo, Castor hoped this wasn't a sign of the worst. "Virgo, what's going on? Why the Barriers?"

The barrier? The barrier was back? Hara bit her lip fiercely to keep back the urge to cry with a combination of frustration and relief, only to start coughing again, stifling it behind the crook of her arm. "******** b***h." She snarled, since there wasn't a lot more she could do about feeling this crappy right now. Was there anything the could do for the dead civilians at all, or were they going to spend now until... who knew when... making an smashable golden wall? Why couldn't she DO anything?

Closer, they were so close, all that stood between them and victory was this shield, and this, smaller than before. They were winning, they could yet win, and they might yet take the surrounding from the senshi.
“It’s just a matter of time, how long do you think you can hold out in there? You should have brought more civilians with you to the surroundings I think, more to fuel your pretty golden shield. I remember the shield of the Princess, how long do you think –that- will last.

It was a stupid answer and he knew she didn't feel that way. It would get her killed in the end, and he wasn't about to throw her to the wolves when he knew she could be an asset to them. While the senshi side took one of their own, was showing they could do just that, Wolframite felt that it was only fitting they continue to steal from the senshi side. She got up, pushing him off, and raced away. Wolframite glanced at Leto, a bit on edge to have a DMC member so close to him. Still, if she was part of the once BMC, then she probably wanted her back. Still, it did nothing for his cause to have one of those he hated be standing beside him. "I think your friend here shows there is redemption." Though he felt Scylla deserved it more than Leto. Scylla had been the only one to show mercy.
When she dashed, he ran after her, and reached her in time to grab her and swing a punch to her midsection. He wouldn't let her go. He would drag her back and corrupt her before them all if he had to. She would come to understand in time and thank him.

Sailor Thule, Senshi of Rust had walked away from Corvus... And it was likely for the best, given the situation. It hurt to know that no matter how hard they tried it wasn't enough; it would never be enough to bring back the lives of those who had been lost. Never enough.
At the sound of 'REGROUP' Corvus scrambled to her feet, breaking out in a full run back towards the Chronos Castle. She made it in just as the barrier went up, hands on her knees as she stood panting for a moment before tilting her head up in an attempt to find out whether or not Arsinoe had made it inside as well.
Between the two of them they'd made it past the vines into the castle, her own breathing heavy and every part of her body aching to the point of feeling almost as if it were on fire. They were safe, for the moment... But for how long? Was this place, this beautiful castle, going to become their tomb?
"Hey. See anyone you know?" She nudged the male senshi, eying him lightly from beneath her hood.

There was only so long that barrier could hold up, and the Great One knew it. Lowering its head down so its face was visible through the doorway, it bared its jet-black fangs of the senshi in what could only be interpreted as a malicious grin. Patience, it seemed to be saying to the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror, we'll be killing the lot of them soon enough.

Pollux for all him getting beaten on, simply had the balled to go to Avalon and for a brief moment gaze into her eyes and whisper. "I saw you kick that one guy in the balls."
What?
"Remind me when we get out of here never to fight you."

And just when she'd been about to hit -
There was another barrier.
"Sure, hide behind your precious civilians ! Hide behind those lives who had nothing to do with this fight as is ! COWARDS !"
Every last one of them.
Coward.
Fluorite huffed, and started to made her way toward her allies. Her burns were starting to hurt like hell, now that she had nothing to distract from them.
Well, damn.
This s**t again ?
Alunite huffed, but went off to regroup as well - instinctively seeking Zinkenite's signature as he most often did.
Just when he'd found one white-wearing ******** to punch.
BAM.
Ugh.
"They... They did it again, didn't they ? The others..." He sighed. "...No..."
Who had it been this time ? Fritz ? Gilbert ? Ricky ? Holi ?
He didn't want to think about it, but the thoughts wouldn't escape his mind.

Sugilite sighed, wiping blood from underneath her nails onto the hem of her dress. It was really hard to get up a nice rampage when they kept sectioning themselves off like this. Also, she was getting a little thirsty. Blood was so salty, and it just set off her longing for a nice cup of iced tea.
For the first time since it's rise from near-defeat, she took a moment to look, really look up at the Great Youma, a mixture of pride and fondness stirring as she stared up. It had been foolish, thinking it would fall that easily, that they would fall that easily. Sugilite ruminated on this, taking off her glasses and wiping off a dab of red on the side of her jacket, then pushing them back on. For the moment that her eyes were viable, they sparkled with excitement. As though this was an amusement park, rather than a battlefield.
She turned and walked back to where everyone who could still walk was gathering, to join up with the other officers and dark senshi. The battle was going their way, as it obviously would. Their victory was assured, there was no doubt. If she was musical, she would have broken out in a jaunty whistle.

Benitoite had been busy the whole time and rather unaware of what had been going on around him. It was the new bubble coming up which surprised the teen and had him looking around. Another break, something had decided they all needed a rest?
"Barriers...again, a rest period." Was something, some higher whatever, planning this? For a moment he thought of moving around to find a nice place to sit and rest, he could use a sit down at the very least. He really was learning new things about his body, like he really needed to work on endurance and strength.

Even as experienced as he was, Themis was starting to tire. He looked like a wreck, covered in cuts and bruise, dried blood, his trenchcoat thorn in places and outright missing a sleeve.
He was missing a few feathers, too, some of the ribbon thorn away, when he made his way up to Castor. "Nice wings, bro."
He gave a weak smile. He was trying to find some humor in all this, but it was hard. It... didn't look good.
"Virgo..." He said, looking at her. "Do you know if there are bandages here ? We need to patch ourselves up... While we can..."
Really, the senshi of noise was starting to look worryingly pale. He'd lost more blood than it showed, really.
