-has to get a police check because the group he is with is volunteering to feed the homeless, also has to fill ANOTHER form so he can do this navigation thing in a few weeks-

I had to dig out my old laptop to post some stuff around the guild.
For some odd reason, the keyboard and the external keyboard that I use with my shiny new Vaio Laptop, well its not new new I got it for xmas..any who they keyboard wouldn't respond. I was trying to type up the new thread to cover the dawnguard trailer and no matter what key i pressed nothing happened. Well the computer beeped like I was doing something invaild or whatever. I loaded up MS word and started to press random keys to see if I could get it to work there, but the only thing that happed was I managed to active the Research options that are built in MS word without using the mouse to select them. Somehow I managed to use the shortcut command instead.
So I thought hell I'll just reboot the machine and it should fix itself...nope that didn't work.
I click the box to enter my password, started to type and nothing happened. None of the keys worked.
I started to randomly press keys. When I hit the 'S' key the shutdown options drop down/up menu (the one located at the bottom right of the login page on Win7) poped up like it would have if I had clicked on the little arrow to bring it up. Once again it seemed that my keyboard used a shortcut command to bring that up.
Usually I'm good about fixing my own computer problems but this had me stumped. The keyboard worked this moring as I left a message to a friend on facebook at around 7:00am my time before heading to work. I also gave the okay for Viao Care to do its update before leaving, but that shouldn't have required me to do anything else....not like I can do anything about that right now, as I took it to a local PC repair shop that's pretty popular and known to get the job done.
Maybe someone can expalin to me what's going on, that way I can get the damn problem off my mind, until the PC folks give me a call in the morning.

I did not know if this was worthy of it's own thread, but Dovakiin and myself have thrown up a Joint Free Art Request thread in the Art Freebies Forum. If anybody has a TES inspired avi they want art of then feel free to post it in there. The more of us there are and the more traffic it gets the more likely people will actually draw.

Byakko Yasutsuki I did not know if this was worthy of it's own thread, but Dovakiin and myself have thrown up a Joint Free Art Request thread in the Art Freebies Forum. If anybody has a TES inspired avi they want art of then feel free to post it in there. The more of us there are and the more traffic it gets the more likely people will actually draw. It almost sounds like the alt key is messed up. And it's both keyboards, you said?

Oh I'm about to drop something even more weird. The PC guys when they got to the shop, and booted up my laptop found nothing wrong. They were able to log into my computer, keyboard (the one built in) worked like it always did. They left it running and messed with the keyboard though out the day and nothing.
I got home plugged in my wireless usb logitech mk320 keyboard and mouse and it works just fine too.
Hopefully everything is in working order, I'm kinda in a testing mode right now to see if the problem comes back.

Well, glad that worked out! Oh, and I finally decided to look for some mods on that site you told me about. I got a retexture for hair and something that slows down dungeon respawn times enough that you could think of it as clearing a dungeon for good. I'm holding out for a good farming mod someday. I hate "stealing" from owned farms. sweatdrop

@ Lexima I would really love to have that dungeon re-spawn mod and one's that add more options of character customization.
@ Khajiiti I'm really digging your avi.
Nerevar smiled at the shifty looking Khajiit, and replied "Restarting basically fixed the problem, and my Sony Vaio is a recent model as well. I've only had it since December. As for Skooma, I I don't touch vile stuff, Its for the lesser races after all. Although I wouldn't doubt that Sheogorath is playing his tricks again. My Lady Azura and him don't play all that well together at times."
