I think it's a bad idea to put it anywhere else but the main forum.

This could be a sticky in the main forum OR it could be a sticky here.
You could just change the name of the subforum so that it'd be easier to find the hangout.

I think this is a good idea, it'd mean that the main forum would be less cluttered.
I think only announcements and some of the bigger contests should be placed in the main forum.
Plus, in each subforum, only the important stuff would be stickied.
Like this one, for sure.

I kinda have a suggestion
Why not turn the "Contests" subforum into a "Guild Games" subforum?
Turn the games with prizes into stickies and the ones without prizes stay as normal threads
Games like the "Vending Machine" and the "Destroy a Wish"
EDIT: Another suggestion is a place where people could post their pics.
