"You could have easily won that," Dani said coming out of her sheepishness as Penny waited at her car for her Xavier classmates. She was referring to the racing that was going on in track.

Penny nodded and pushed a red strand of hair behind her ears. Fidgetting with an earring she said in a lower voice, "I know, but I don't think that would have been fair. I've had this debate many times with people. It was still fun though. Maybe by the end of the ear I'll kick all their collective butts. You know, be this whole fake training thing... like I worked all year and just got better."

Flipping her hoop up and down on her ear, she watched the front door for Jacen. The week was running out of time to nail down plans. She sat up on the front of her car with Dani, "I think you'll like Xavier's. There's all kinds of folks there. We usually get along. Teachers are pretty good too."

"How did you know I was a mutant?" Dani said, the parking lot was too loud for anybody to really overhear them.

"Keen eyesight," Penny winked, "I don't know. I usually just notice things. I saw the water pooling around your hands like it was mutually attracted to you." Yea, she usually did just notice things. No wonder Xavier kept pushing her to be one of their teachers.

Then, she saw Jacen come out of the building. For a second, though, she forgot that he walked on the other line of their aliances. Okay, most seconds she forgot that. Penny didn't tell Dani she heard the girl mutter about how she thought he was kind of cute. Yea, in that hell blazing, flaming sword fighting kind of way.... okay, in the bad boy dangerous kind of way. She couldn't help it. She had to be a girl sometime... in between the killer x-men sequences and being the leader.

"Jacen," She yelled over, "You have a minute?"

He came over to her, "Yea, I was looking for you earlier at lunch."

"Sorry, I had to get changed for gym," she smiled, "Do you want to make the prom plans now or do you have to leave?"

OOC: I like Teagan already. You should have her get caught up in the prom plot somehow so she can get caught with the rest of the mutants by the hunters. She doesn't ahe to go on a date if you don't want... there will be plenty of prom crashers smile Same for our Morlock friends. Heh, pop up from the sewers for a bite of bad catering.

Jamie hopped down the steps on his way out of school. He was grinning, and kept looking up at the sky. It really is a beautiful day. . . He thought to himself as he jogged to Penny's car. He looked at the girl in surprise. "Well, here I was thinking I would have to find you so I could learn your name. . . and we live in the same house!"

OOC: He's talking to Danielle by the way. I thought it was easy to tell, but apparently some of my writing is too ambiguous. I guess Haru might not get to reply, but whatever. . . I *might* be capable of improvisation.

Damn straight :p

"She'll be there." Regina interjected for Penny.

A couple other students were beginning to show up for the ride home. Regina sensed their unease at having another student there. Possibly because of the worry that he was normal and they were mutants and he could expose them... but it was more likely because of his reputation around campus.

"Everyone aboard that is going to the xavier institute?" Regina asked softly. She hated calling attention to herself and others. Made her wonder why she was even trying to go for school president.

She pushed those thoughts out of her mind though and decided to concentrate on her responsibilities to the other students in trianing and the upcoming prom.

OOC: *takes a peek* What exactly is going on...? I'll try a come back. razz

OOC: Mostly school stuff. Major plot starts at prom involving mutant hunteres for whoever is going to it. And unless anybody has an arguement, i think prom is going to start around Friday sometime.

IC:

"Rumors are wild things to follow," Porter said reading a report that Xavier handed the team of teachers in the War Room. It detailed rumors for all of his sources regarding hushed up government projects.

Xavier folded his hands, "You, Mr. Porter, know about such hidden government programs."

Porter nodded, "Yes, sir, I do... as much as I want to ignore it."

Logan popped a claw not letting people forget his run in with the Weapon X program.

Xavier looked around the room and then pointed at a map, "Logan and Scott, I am sending the both of you on a recon mission. My sources have the location of their new project here. I do not want you to infilrate, but I do want you to spy. We need to know as much as we can without being detected."

"Porter, see if you can contact any old channels and find out what is going on. Our top priority is keeping these children safe."

OOC: Ok. Thanks for the info. I'll post something tomorrow. Oh and Requiem, there's a neutral faction out there if you want more interaction with your character. Wanda is part of it and Freya, a character of mine, is the "leader" if I can put it this way. But that's just a suggestion. ^-^

OOC: There is also the small faction of Morlocks who are popping up. Don't worry, there are still ways to interact with everybody else. We do cross enemy lines sometimes j/k

IC:

"Come on REG! The stores close soon," Penny yelled up the stairs at the Institute. Nothing like last minute shopping. Kitty had just popped out of the woodwork, litterally, with her purse and was ready to go.

"Does anybody know if Gen is coming?" Penny asked Kitty. She wasn't sure what girls were all going on their shopping escapaes for a dress, "What about Dani?"

Kitty shrugged, "Dont' know. i haven't been keeping tabs on the local gossip. To busy decorating and stuff for friday."

Rogue showed up, "Don't say another word, and yes I am going."

"With who?" Penny asked. That was news.

"Forge, he asked me about ten minutes ago." Rogue crossed her arms and waited for anybody else who was coming along with them.
