I'm sorry but i don't agree at all. I don't really care if he looks good in them or not of if he has the worse wig choices or not but one thing is for sure. If i could fit Moi meme moitie clothes, i'd only wear those.
The clothes he makes are the most elegant out there and if i could i'd only have those, antique beast accessories, some boz and maide victorian maiden.
I do like frilly cute gl types but as far as elegance goes, mana knows what he is doing.

I love Mana's clothes and those outfits are beautiful.
I wear lace gloves in the summer, and maidens in the victorian era wore lace gloves.
I also wear leather, i love it and it goes quite nicely with some styles of lolita dresses.
PVC is also addorable.
mana as i regard him is a lolita icon and many of the REAL lolitas in JAPAN have Mana as their icon

And I don't think refering to us as 'lil anime girls' is all that great either. I mean, last time I watched anime...was one of the last episodes of Sailor Moon [Rerun. xD Yaaay Youtube!] About three years ago.
And I agree with Raining Blood. [PVC is cute.] Mana knows his stuff and how to flaunt it -random pose.- =D
I think those pictures of him are absolutely adorable. -squees.- I love the second one, The dress is pretty. I wish I could buy it...or yeah. xD

I've never watched anime... and i dont read manga.
Mana is beautiful, he has great fashion and wonderful music.. and happens to be one of the idols of lolita fashion

This is a really interesting topic. While I think those are some of his better pictures and I feel he pulls off the aristocrat look (first 2 pics) better than lolita, he does use strange materials but is a very very pretty girl. I personally feel that this pic best describes what musuu is saying, it's too near to cosplay and if one of us were to wear it it, that's what it would be, cosplay not lolita: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/38/Music_manasan.jpgHe does that blue scheme that is far from elegant. If Mana =/= Lolita, then I =/= Asian. Mana has been innovative enough to incorporate an elegance into the style, broaden its horizons and suit the tastes of many girls who enjoy a beautiful, sweet dress with a little bit of darkness. He has allowed the Lolita style to grow and become a higher fashion movement in Japan as well as in other parts of the world. His vision fits right in with fantasies of many more young women than Lolita alone would have before. And since he has shared his vision and contributed such to the growth of Lolita, Mana has my full respect.
Plus, Moitie clothes are so lovely. ^-^ I wish I wasn't so afraid to wear them out for fear of soiling them. They have such an elegant feel that I can't get with anything else. (:
Also, don't forget... Mana is also a Visual Kei artist. Not just a Lolita icon. In some photos, I don't believe he means to be a Lolita at all.

I got an overwhelming response on EGL about it and that's pretty much what it comes down to. Although many feel that because he's a J-rockstar, it entitles him to do whatever they want. course they don't feel that way about gwen stefani doing it.
