Silbervane Delta 8O8 They can either be NCOIC's but most of the time their official title is: "SNCO" aka Senior Non-Commissioned Officer ..just throwing that out there It doesn't matter if there are 20 SNCOs, there has to be one with the title NCOIC or SNCOIC. Without the IC=In Command, then they can have someone they report to, and without an S/NCOIC, then even two S/NCOs would be a hassle to deal with. SNCO doesn't mean anything except that they are an E7 or higher. SNCOIC means they are in command of the particular group they work with, even if there are three other SNCOs of the exact same rank. I have a question for you, btw. What rank is that in your sig on that Gaia Military thing? That'd be Sergeant Major, E-8/9

The Hegemon If you have the rank of Master Sergeant in 2561 you'll have a rank decrease. Either by one rank or several depending on your actions and qualifications after the end of the war in 2553. Why?

Because your character is younger, which usually means less experience, hence the lower rank.

Depending if you did JROTC for more than 2 years, you would probably start out as Private when Enlisted.
Promotion is either given through experience over time, doing something that's worth more than just a medal, or just that you stand out from the rest regularly.
Basically, impressing the higher ups is the only way to quickly rank up. The slow way is the "older you get, the more you got" thing...
That is how I see it. Silber will probably correct me hardcore.

...Halo isn't all about shooting. Sure, it's an FPS, but jesus christ, there's some STORY involved as well. If you can't appreciate a good story, then leave.
We'd be a bit farther ahead, if Hege would've let me do what I originally wanted to do after the little "Log" post for the ships AI, so blame him for the temporary slowness.
Last edit: Some of you need to stop distancing yourself from what's currently going on. I started the fight in the Mess Hall so that people would actually want to participate, instead of heading off to the gym, or make a comment that no one would hear. Do not go complaining about the lack of action if you refuse to put your character with the others.

Sexual Tendancies ...Halo isn't all about shooting. Sure, it's an FPS, but jesus christ, there's some STORY involved as well. If you can't appreciate a good story, then leave. FINALLY! Someone who sees things from MY perspective! Although I do admit getting a little too emotional at times. Kinda like if I were actually in the character as a real ODST (or otherwise) and feeling anger when the in-game characters feel anger or depression when the in-game characters feel depression... ... I think I need a vacation...

Frankly, I don't even feel comfortable continuing with this plot of mine, because some people can't even be patient enough to sit through the "boring" bits, or even put enough effort into their posts to make them worth reading.
Prove these two things to me somehow, and THEN I'll get us to where we need to be.
Understood?
Edit: And no, I'm not TRYING to sound like a b***h, I'm just...irritated right now.

For those who are confused, the list I posted is indeed the roster for ODST team E. Any additional ODSTs will be a part of their own unit, but as previously mentioned the ratio must be three marines to one ODST. Right now that hasn't happened.

Lt-Schalton Silbervane Delta 8O8 They can either be NCOIC's but most of the time their official title is: "SNCO" aka Senior Non-Commissioned Officer ..just throwing that out there It doesn't matter if there are 20 SNCOs, there has to be one with the title NCOIC or SNCOIC. That'd be Sergeant Major, E-8/9Actually, its the rank of First Sergeant, which is an E8. Unlike the other branches, the Army has a single rank for First Sergeant whereas the Air Force and other branches don't have a full rank for First Sergeant, its simply a duty taken on by Master Sergeants or above, much similiar to a chaplain service for officers. I don't mean to be rude and correct everything all the time, but I have a fierce mindset of the military, being that I am enlisted Air Force, and when people mistake things, I feel the need to correct them. I apologize if I have ever come across as harsh or rude, but I mean no offense, I just don't like to see people think they know something when they are just guessing at it.

Btw vane, the UGMF ranks are TOTALLY different.
