Being gone makes a person miss all kinds of things. I need to keep turning my computer off at night maybe but I love to keep it on so I don't miss things in logging... >.>

So I never did actually tell the story with the ex-type guy (who is Durel in case peoples are still confused here). Not that most people who'd read this would care I guess. Dunno how many of the IRC peoples frequent here, it doesn't look to be too terribly many these days though.

Maybe mIRC is different since you last used it? Sanee is having problems too... seems to me like something has changed since the tutorial or whatever that's up in this guild. I'm able to get to it with mIRC just fine, just... I fail so hard at explanations. -_-

But... but... that takes effort on my part! And I have to open up mIRC again...

But uh... maybe I will. No promises, though! *runs away*

And by "*runs away*" I mean "*opens up mIRC and goes to the tutorial page*"

Hrm, I don't really see anything that differs with that and I was just doing to try and make some sort of new tutorial...

Can anyone tell me more specifically what problems they are having with connecting?

Are you absolutely sure you're connected to chat.serenia.net ?

And once you are, you have typed either /join #ennui or typed #ennui into the "join" box?

If yes to both of those and you still can't get in I'd likely not be able to help unless I were there to do it for you. Damn my lack of explanation skills! I should never become a teacher I guess...

K, I went through and set it all up again and took screen shots at each step, hopefully I can be of some assistance with this.

Obviously, first open mIRC.

Click "continue" through however many times they try to get you to register your copy.

The options menu (I think) should open automatically when you open mIRC.

If it does not, the options icon is the one with the hammer. Click that to open it (yeah, no screen shot of this, sorry ;>.>).

I don't remember for certain if Serenia was already in the servers list. If you can't find it, follow the next steps. If you do find it, then just skip ahead (if you find it and follow these steps and still can't connect, perhaps check to see that the information matches up).

Click the servers tab.

Click on "add."

Enter the info as provided in this screen shot. Click "add."

Next, find Serenia in your servers list. Select it, and then select "random server (again, no screen shot, sorry).

Click connect.

This list should pop up. If it doesn't... well I see a "more" option at the bottom of my favorites list in the toolbar, so I dunno what else to say to do to bring it up. -_-

Type #ennui into the list and hit join. Like here.

If that doesn't work... I'm at a loss. Perhaps try updating mIRC if you don't have the most recent version (v6.31), or check out another program. I use the most recent version of XChat for Windows currently, and it's pretty simple to navigate for the most part. Joining servers and channels is ridiculously easy.
