Apollo lifts an eyebrow at his eager young pupil, "Well, we'll begin with basics. The basics will aid you more than you think because they will become the most instinctual powers at your command. Simple things... Levitating sticks until you can levitate boulders. Boiling and freezing cups of water. Flying at will. Stopping time. We have released the core of your power, but we haven't released every secret that lies in your body... We will have to find ways to touch your soul to fre more of your power to you... But the basics first. Follow me"
He smiles a little and turns, walking into the forest. They needed to be in a quiet area for meditation. It wouldn't be likely for Endymion to learn to levitate rocks with Adel fidgiting and playing in the background.

Apollo chuckles at her choice of words, remembering when they were both trained together and how frustrating it had been to get the basics down. Ah, good times. He glances back at Endymion to make sure he was following, "You'll have to bare with me today, I'm a little weak from the early sunset yesterday... But you'll be doing most of the work anyways...."
They finally end up at a small clearing totally surrounded by words. The murmur of the river was now just a small hum in the background. The sun god stops and turns to face Endymion. A rock by his feet, the size of a peach pit, rises into the air, floating at Apollo's silent, easy command. He takes it from the air and tosses it to Endymion, "Levitate it for me."

((lol, he wasn't aiming for his head, but oh well))

Apollo sighs, having hoped the tossing would draw out a reaction to float th rock. Eventually, that was how he had learned. The last thing he wanted to do was hit Endymion. His luck was just getting worse minute by minute. He walks over to Endymion and lifts his hands, rubbing at Endymion's shoulders, his voice soft, "This first lesson is key, so don't be upset if it takes a while. What you need to learn most is to trust yourself and let yourself go. You are too tense right now. Focusing on the rock won't make it float. Believing that you can levitate it will, though."

Apollo felt the tension stil in Endymion's shoulder and mistook it for the younger god not wanting to be touched by him. With an imperceptable sigh, he gives one last hard rub before backing away, "Just trust it. Remember when you saw me in the river. You made the river stop. What separates that from this? Then you were acting on instinct, on what you knew you had to do..."
He studies Endymion's tension for a while before finally whispering, "A-are you alright?"

Apollo winces a little, still not getting it. If he powers were at their normal level, he probably would have noticed the arousal that practically radiated from Endymion's body. Instead, he says in a gentle voice, "Hey... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable... I wanted you to relax but I made you feel the opposite."

Apollo bites his lip, sitting down a yard or so away, "Take your time... And ground yourself as well, lest you levitate yourself at the same time. It's simple, just imagine yourself attached to the ground, like a tree with deep roots..."

Apollo's eyes widen at Endymion's surge of power. He stares up, watching the rock disappear with a small gasp. He stands up, taking Endymion's arm, "I don't know, but we better move a few yards away before it falls..." He pulls Endymion to the other edge of the clearing. He watches the rock fall again, leaving a small crater in the earth where they had been.
"Wow... Endymion, that was... Very good... You have a lot of power, but I think we'll need to focus more on controlling it rather than letting it come in surges. It can be dangerous if you can't control it..."
