The clouds above the structure parted as the Pelican eased in from the atmosphere, the ship quickly diving down towards the oddly shaped entrance into Halo, before the pilot pulled back on the throttle, slowly lowering the bird down onto the surface of the Ring. The hull made a dull noise as they settled down, and the hatch hissed open. The SPARTAN and his team quickly climbed out of the Pelican, weapons in hand, and darted towards this new structure. He had heard there was some firing, and wished the Marines had simply waited for him to get there, before going off on their own little tours as he checked his loaded BR55. The armored human took a quick look over his shoulder, spotting the rest of his team, which this time consisted of Marine regulars and ODST units he had managed to gather on the Armengald.
Upon reaching the entrance, he didn't bother asking what was going on, prefering to keep silent through most of his day, as well as already knowing what the situation is through COM chatter and his orders. He also knew that there was only one other person on this ring who was higher up on the roster than him, and they couldn't risk having their CO on the front line, so he knew there was no one to converse with over this before entering. He did, however, gather up any spare Marines who weren't on gaurd duty or used as scouts and added them to his team. He had two Marines carry the heavy anti-personnel turrets with them, not knowing where they could get pinned down as he and his team entered the ancient facility.

Mendez looked at the towering Spartan. "Sir, Spartan Kristi is in there. We've initiated lockdown and everyone else is outside." He hefted his rifle. "I, I don't know where to go from here sir, Since you're here, You're giving the orders."

"I, I don't know where to go from here sir, Since you're here, You're giving the orders." The SPARTAN nodded down at the Marine, before looking over at the other SPARTAN who was with them, noting her current state. He didn't truly care about her condition, though, having not known her at all from his childhood. He didn't 'hang out' with many of his fellow trainees, and simply did whatever he could to follow orders and complete missions. He glanced around, hoping to find the CO of this particular group, before giving up and addressing the Marine, "Open the entrance back up. Find your CO and tell him my team is going in. You and the rest will remain here to cover our backs and make sure nothing ugly gets out. Understood?"

Howie wasn't sure what to do right now. He wanted some more trigger time and wanted to fight the flood. Howie slowly turned around in semi circles to take in his surrondings when he seen a new SPARTAN. Howie noticed that the SPARTAN'S group was getting ready to go in. This could be his chance to get a little trigger time and help out majorly Howie ran over to the SPARTAN and waited to be adressed.

Mendez pulled a Salute "Sir! Begging your pardon, but I'd like to be part of the team going inside."

Corporal Faythe leaned against the wall of the entrance, prepping her gear. Until they opened the door, she didn't need to be worried. Until then, she needed to make sure she was ready.

Upon hearing one Marine's request to join his team, he noticed another watching him with that same look, a look that gave away their eagerness to fight. He didn't really care at all if they joined him, and wasn't ready to have an individual interview with each to see if they were qualified for anything, so he simply nodded, pointed towards his group as they prepared, and spoke quickly and quietly, "Join up with them and be ready in five minutes."

As the Spartan Thought, Mendez reported to the lieutenant. "Sir, The Spartan is at the door, He's prepping to go inside." He alked away and headed back to the spartan.

He nodded and said "Thank you Sir. Ill be ready in one minute" Howie then made sure he had enough clips and enough granades. He was always told never be to eager to battle, but Howie thought it was the best stratagy because the enemy wouldn't expect you to just run in and would be stuned for just a second and that would be the open moment to kill your enemy, but the flood didn't get shocked.
