A laser appeared and scanned the document after Julius had signed it. it immediately retreated back into the wall and disappeared. "I'm glad that we could come to an agreement, Julius. Now, where might you like to stay? a hotel, your own house? apartment?" he asked.

"You needn't be so stingy. Manners wouldn't be unwelcome here." he said. "35 Norwik Lane. its two story so you will have plenty of room. finished basement and plenty of accessories. you will also find a full wardrobe of clean clothes that should fit you. One of the guards at the gate will hand you the key and give you directions." he informed Julius.

"Of course." Cassie's father pushed a button and the dividers receded back into the floor and ceiling.

A guard met him and took him to the gate. he pointed down the street and told him to take a few right turns and then go into the fourth house on the left. then he handed him the keys.

Cassie's father pushed another button which opened up the panel in Cassie's room. he walked to her room and met her and she climbed off of the table. "What happened?" she asked.
"You're boyfriend tried to blow our house up and almost hit you. but he's been taken care of, for now at least."
Cassie stared at him in horror. "You mean-"
"No, no, i didn't kill him, though he's got some silly notion that i had some involvement with his parents deaths." he sighed. "some people are just too suspicious for their own good."
"So, where is he? Can i see him?" she asked, though leery about how their reunion might turn out.
"He's at the other house. I gave it to him, the one that you used to escape to. As for visiting him, why don't you wait a little bit. Give him some time to look around and get used to the place." he suggested.
"What did you do to the place?" Cassie asked suspiciously.
he sighed again. "I didn't do anything. there are no cameras, bugs, traps or anything of the like. That was your gettaway- or one of them- and it still is. what i said earlier was merely a suggestion. If you are really dying to see him you may. Actually it'd probably be best for you to stay the night there so that your room can be fixed." he said.
Cassie nodded. "Thank you." she turned to leave but her father caught her and hugged her. "I'm sorry." he whispered in her ear.
Cassie frowned. it wasn't a hostile comment. he sounded very sincere. "Its ok...." she said uncertainly. she pulled out of the hug and ran out of the house. once on the road though she slowed down to a stop. *What am i going to do when i see him?* she panicked. *Maybe i should go back.... I don't know what to do. What will he do? Will he be angry with me?* she very slowly made her way to the house and stopped on the porch. she raised her hand to knock on the door but her arm fell back to her side. *I can't do it!* she thought.

Cassie blushed. she didn't know what to do. her heart was going a hundred miles an hour and she wanted to run away, but she also wanted to run into his arms, but her legs wouldn't move either way. she tried to look around helplessly but she couldn't tear her eyes away from Julius. it felt like so long since they had separated.

Cassie started crying too. she hugged him back. "I'm sorry." she murmured.

"Last time-" Cassie fought against the lump in her throat. "I made both of us angry at me." she said.
