C.J. smirked a little. "Alright then. So they're sending a distraction. Alright . . . how many. You've been quite co-operative. However . . . if you're lying, so help me GOD to prevent me comin' BACK down here to finish you off!!" he growled as he went for the vent, the machine gun in hand. Afterwards, he took a sniff. "And change your damn pants! A grown-a** man doesn't s**t himself!!" he scolded as he went up into the vent.

The poor guard just sat there and watched him vanish up the vent. Not budging or making so much as a sound until he was sure that the other man was truely gone.
The two spirits just grinned at one another, then floated up through the floor to follow after CJ. They felt good enough to leave one man living at least.

C.J. fumbled around in the vent. "This would be SO much easier if I knew where I was going! Hey, y'all in the back! How close are we to Fisk's office? I kinda wanna prank call him!" he asked as he paused for a moment before keeping on.
"Well, it was either him or Vladmir Putin!"
Is it because his regime imprisoned p***y Riot? 'Cause that happened a WHILE ago!
"Noooo, because I'm bored, and if we can frame fatass for crank-calling Russia, we could easily get both the US AND Russia to shut down . . . what DOES Fisk do, exactly?"
Lay around, getting fat while his cronies do the dirty work?
((Sounds about right to me! Granted, Kingpin IS the mob!))

Kinda. Then again, we're too broke, otherwise I'd be replaced by Morgan Freeman!

"Actually, you were in a secret level located between the "top floor" and Fisks very top level office. He's right above you, but the floor is enforced to make sure no bullets or anything get through." one of the men replied.
( Thanks! They just hung the quilt murals up today. They look so pretty up... I'll post pictures of it somewhere tomorrow or this weekend. Whenever I can get them up. ^^ )

"Oy . . . wait, you two can just pop up can'tcha? Just pop up there and open the door for me. I'm gonna figure out how I can get down to the main flo-" and that's when he heard a faint whirr. He was getting close to an elevator shaft! If he could just pop the front side open, he could hitch a ride!
"Totally got an idea. Just as long as this holds o-" he said before things started to groan underneath as he crawled along. Getting moreso as he got close to where the shaft was.
"oh COME ON!!!" he growled before the vent caved in, sending C.J. down below!
"AAAAAAAAAA-HOO-Hoo-Hoo-HOOIE!!!!!"

One man chuckled as the poor mortal fell, while the other cringed and looked away. "Well...suppose he's fortunate that he made a deal with us now. That would normally break a bone or two."
The other man turned and grinned at his coworker "Oh, so getting tortured and shot doesn't make him lucky for momentary immortality? But this, this does?"
"Well getting shot and tortured is a normal sight for us." he said, then gestured down. "How many times does someone die from... this sort of accident?"
"Fair enough. It would make people look twice at the headline though, wouldn't it?"

 (Sorry this took so long. I'm been swamped with classes. sweatdrop ) Yuriko saw the flashbang hurled toward and drove forward with a roll to avoid being stunned. Then from a half roll toward the caped crusader, Lady Deathstrike launched herself toward Batwoman -- but not directly at her. Yuriko's left claws seemed to be aimed at Brenda's mid-section... However, that attack was simply to slice into Batwoman's cape to get a solid hold to slow her opponent down just long enough to launch her right claws directly toward Brenda's back letting the adamantium blades do their work....

Well . . . things didn't QUITE pan out the way the two soultakers imagined. Turns out, C.J. crashed down in front of the door to the elevator, whistling as he waited for the elevator to come up to their level.
"Huh, that was convenient!"
((Don't get cocky, kid. You're almost to Fisk's office.))
Yeah, what he said. What's your next plan?
"Search me. My plan was just gettin' IN here. Now that Aiden and Batwoman's kinda busy, I can pretty much find where she is, make sure she's safe . . . and poooooosssssibly buy a missile to fire at I.O.?"
ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR MIND?! Fisk would KILL US ALL!!
"He's gonna try to kill me ANYWAY! Do you hear ME kvetching? Noooooo!"

Sorry boss.
"Yeah, sorry."
C.J. pushed the up button and waited a moment, looking up. "Well, fellas, if this is the one that crashed, I'd better start looking for the stairs . . . y'know, since I'm down here." he said, leaning on the door before it opened with a ding, causing C.J. to fall into the car! "STILL GOOD!" he said, picking himself up inside the car and flashed a thumbs up before he slid his hand back in, picking the right button as he waited to go up.

The two soul takers chuckled and floated down towards the elevator. They floated through the door and drifted inside the cart as it began to ascent to the top floor. "I must admit... you're proving to be more entertaining than I though you would." the more serious phantom said with a grin.
"Have you ever though of doing something like this for... oh, I don't know. Say... ever?" the other asked. He WOULD be entertaining... and it would give the two of them a bit of a break from just waiting around the elderly and short of thread to die.

C.J. thought about it and shrugged, propping the gun against the wall of the car. "Thanks, y'all, but I dunno about FOREVER. I have a great guy I can reference you to out in Vegas. He's a psychotic, chain-smoking, were-gator gunman. He pretty much taught me half the serious stuff." he said as he scratched his head. "Seems fun though. Run around just whackin' people? We got a reason for me to go all 'bang bang bang' on some assholes?" he asked as the bell dinged and the car slid to a stop. C.J. doing a quick ammo check as he waited for the door to open.

The other grinned and shrugged. "We'll see about that later. As for you having a reason... well I'm sure our Lord Hades would be interested in giving you a reason. Your hearts desire... your girlfriend's freedom of her current deal... her children..." he began.

Both spirits made a small groaning sound. An indication that they either weren't sure... or CJ wouldn't like the answer. "Well, that one you'll simply have to take up with Hades." one replied.
"He's been after keeping her since she died and struck a deal the first time around."
"Only reason she got out of that one was that his brother came down."
"Nah, it was his wife. He'd have been too stubborn to let his brother just walk off with her if it wasn't for Percy."
"True... either way..." the man said, looking down at CJ. "You might need to do some convincing. He has his own reasons for letting her live with a deal this time around."
"Trouble with the Fates and all."

C.J. smirked a little bit. "What's that make me then? Shivu?" he asked with a smartass quip, holding the weapon as the elevator doors opened.
"Eh, s**t happens. I'm just here to ******** some up!"
