"Because it's my fault!' Kay shouted as she hit the call button for the lift. "It's my fault Spencer got near you! It's my fault that he was alone with you! It's my fault that he almost..." Kay couldn't even bring herself to say it. Kay hung her head, "It's my fault that... Bubbles almost lost you." she said trying to cover up.

"Of course it is." Kimmi dead panned. "Cause you made me trust him even though I knew something wasn't right. And you made me agree to go to the control room alone with him. Oh and lets not forget how drugging me and biting me was all your idea." Kimmi rolled her eyes. "Kay, in case you haven't noticed, I'm a trouble magnet. If anything is your fault, the fact that I'm still alive is." Kimmi sighed.

Kay's face turned dark for a second before she realized Pinky was watching her, she tried to look happy. "I won't take credit for that." Kay teased as she stepped into the lift. Kay was thinking about how they could have avoided all of this had she just killed Spencer when she had first seen him. Pinky would have been held, gotten mad, stomped off, and not talked to her for awaile. But she would have not come so close to losing, what she thought of as, her only friend.

Kay sighed and closed her eyes as she leaned against the side of the moving lift. "But what if it hadn't?" she asked, horrified at even thinking about it. "What if you were gone forever because of what I should have done but didn't?"

Kimmi snorted. "What if I was never born and the stars fall out of the sky?" She smirked and opened he eyes. "What ifs don't get you anything but more what ifs. Things happen as they are meant to, you have to trust in yourself and the people around you to be able to handle the things that go wrong. I handled a situation I created by insisting on going alone with him."

Kay banged her head against the siding angerily. "But that's the problem! I didn't trust my instincts! I hesitated, I let him live! Because I knew what he meant to you and didn't want to upset you!" she shouted, more mad at herself then anything else. Kay banged her head against the siding again. "I should have run my bladed through him the moment I spooted him. You would have been mad and not talked to me. But at least you would have been safe!" Kay stated exasperated.

Kimmi sighed. "I would have been dead Kay." Kimmi closed her eyes. "He wasn't just my brother he was my twin. I would have died before I let anyone else kill him. If you had managed to kill him without killing me first, I would have done it myself later." She opened her eyes. "If you had killed Spencer, I would have gone with him. One way or another. I wouldn't have seen that he was capable of hurting me, that it had to be done."

Kimmi rolled her eyes. "Sarg's magic white pills would have done the job just fine." She muttered as her muscles started to tingle. "I keep a bottle of them hidden. Trust me when I say you wouldn't have been able to do anything about it Kay. This way was for the best, now I know, and no one but me took his life."

"Oh Kami I think it's wearing off." Kimmi groaned as the tingling turned into an odd dull ache. She used her discomfort as a means to not answer the statement disguised as a question. She had not yet fully decided, she and Spencer had promised each other, but she wanted to help protect and care for her friends. Right now she had no answer and would give no promise one way or the other.

Kay noticed Pinky's attempt to dodge the question and decided to wait until Pinky was ready to tell her. Ducking to get into the tent, Kay gently put Pinky down and wraped the covers around her. "You're going to feel pretty drained when it fully wears off, so I suggest you get some rest." Kay said patting the covers, "You want me to stay until you're asleep?" she asked, croached down beside her.

Kimmi just groaned as the dull ache turned into a pins and needles sensation of feeling returning to the nerves. If it didn't hurt so much she would have curled in a ball. She moved her hand bit, just to see if she could and regretted it when the muscle let her know moving was painful at this point. "What part of this was supposed to be painless." She muttered through gritted teeth.
