I'm sorrying for flipping out, but this has me stressed. I have to push back starting this another few days now.
If need be, we will build a ship from the ground up.
I'm suggesting this Consular model because it keeps that to a minimum, because at least we'll have some sort of reference picture. And it feels right to me.

stellarmagic Still, an RP is a team effort that can't be dictated by a single person. Or two people for that matter. It didn't work. As a GM you provide the circumstances and the opposition, but do you force the players to play equipment simply because you like it? No. Do you force the players to solve problems by way x? No. You provide choice or the illusion of choice. An RP is part sandbox and part story. You need some of it to be created by the people playing, otherwise we're just actors in someone's damn fan fiction. If you want to play this game Stellar, then stop, because I wont listen. I'm having a hard enough time as this is my first time GMing, I don't need this bullshit. This ship deal has me in a real rut, and I'm trying to fix it as well as i can myself. I haven't MADE anybody change something about their character, NOTHING have I forced on these people. This is my dream of a different like of RP than this guild has had. I'm trying to mold this into what I dream, but I will not force thing. But I do reject the Vigo. Stellar, you havent been here in late month, but maybe Cale or Nelo can fill you in. I've been overly-stressed, and basically a ticking time bomb recently. DO NOT test me.

Listen man, theres no need to rush into this. We'll hammer things out. Better the arguement fly here than in the RP.

Are you sure you can handle an RP des? You just admitted to being 'a ticking time bomb'.
If you can't even handle something as simple as a ship or a title for an RP without getting so messed up, what happens when the RPers take the RP in a direction you don't want it to go? Are you going to blow up and just quit?
You're the Moderator, des. Not God.

I don't like the idea of being forced into all these things either, but it doesn't give you a right to back talk.

Skuld. Please. I dont need doubt flowing into my mind. I'll handle this to the best of my ability.
The reason things are like this, is because I'm letting others in to give ideas. If you want to put it that way, I'll rule this Rp with an Iron Fist. But I dont want that.
I'm pushing back the RP until the ship matter is settled, and I want this done with the utmost speed, Cale. Its going to be me and you handling this matter.

Here's a thought:
Why not have everyone that's gonna take part in the RP say what their own desires are as far the ship, size, etc. go for their character's needs, so we can all get an idea for what everyone expects.
Then, once you get all that info, you can find something to suit most ( hopefully all ) of those desires that work with the basic concept so it's still the RP that it's supposed to be.
At least that way, you get all the details to hammer out without it being a " Oh, by the way, we need X for Y " in the middle of everything that potentially ruins all other ideas. This'll help hammer out each detail 1 at a time until every eventually agrees on 1 solution.

Nelo, if you don't like things, why don't you do something?
Des has stated he won't listen to the concerns of the RPers. If he's so unstable, then he has bigger concerns to work out than some stupid RP. You telling me that being able to keep a level head is less of a priority than some stupid ship?
And a damn ship? For what? Some ******** ripoff of a show? What will Des do if suddenly the players decide to not keep the 'feel' of the show? He'll fricken snap. That's what. I'm tired of being called useless. I'm tired of my character constantly being questioned for its use because Des is so stuck on this damn 'feel' that he can't adapt to the situation.
So just give me one damn good reason why I should have to keep quiet because of an ego trip? Why must I sit like a damn schoolgirl and not express my concerns?

1 A ship capable of carrying enough cargo to cut into my character's profit margin. For comparison my BFF-1 has a maximum cargo capacity of 400,000 mTs without using the ventral modules, up too 600,000 mTs with the ventral modules holding a Cargo Container.
That requires a big boat.

So just give me one damn good reason why I should have to keep quiet because of an ego trip? Why must I sit like a damn schoolgirl and not express my concerns? Why? You want to know why? Okay, let's explore this fiasco's root. Des has never been able to stick through a single RP without some sort of absence, or dropping out entirely. He's overestimated his characters on numerous accounts, and in spite of thinking he's charismatic, rarely manages to make a believable character in relation to what he's described. In many ways, one could easily see him as a weakling, and to be kind, i'll not divulge the numerous lines of verbose dialogue which you used to describe him on a multitude of levels, of which I agree with some in some respects. And yet, despite all those so-called problems which you shout at me over the webcam, all those stupid bumps in the road, all those faults which we could easily use as evidence, though merely weasel words whose power lacks in form and function, he is a moderator. Not just of this little pet project, but also for the guild. Why? Because in spite of all the bullshit which he might stir up, despite the numerous amount of tedium which his nature creates on my end, I still have trust in him. I am hoping, in spite of all the potential problems his inexperience and naievity create, that he will not only succeed, but also learn and develop as a person. Do you think that a person could become a moderator wihtout some admirable traits? Do you think that maybe, if he was unfit to be a moderator, that I'd still keep him on the staff? Your complaints may reflect my personal concerns, Skuld, but I'll be damned if you make me look like an a** by being one to des. Now, if you make one more damn bit of backtalk tonight, I will make sure that you are punished under the rules of the guild. Am I understood?
