Pro-choice stemmed fomr the argument that woman should have the right to give birth or the right to abort. Thats the pro-choice I support in an extremly small way. A woman has an abortion, i hate it, but I won't hold it agianst her.
To days pro-choice is supporting the womans right to make the choice to abbort, and ignoring the choice of giving birth.

That's what I noticed. I'm not going to hold it against them either and it is their choice not mine. But most keep pushing abortion yet they don't really talk about the other options like adoption or keeping it. That's why it's called pro-choice not pro-abortion but I guess alot ignore all the other choice. Also I don't agree with is that they the woman 100% right to choose while the father doesn't even though he helped create it and is his baby too, not just hers. There is no equal rights there.

Yes, and that's where their bodily integrity argument comes in. If it weren't for bodily integrity, well, legal abortions would probably not exist.

When he technology finally improves at the level in which we'll be able to have artificial wombs, because legal abortion sets a precedent to kill the fetus (Since it's OF COURSE not a person), people will be saying that the fetus doesn't matter.
Also, of course, even if your DNA is able to form a life independent of you, you still own that DNA. That's like, your property, and since you own your property, you control if it will be propogated.
Yeah, give me a break-- honestly.
Owning your DNA's propogation abilities is the most ludicrous garbage I've ever heard.
*sigh*

At that point, it goes far beyond trying to help women.
It's selfish...and dare I say it's practically abortion for abortion's sake? That one is so determined to keep this legal, they'll abort for the hell of it to make a statement?
Disgusting.

*sigh* That is true. I doubt that when the artificial wombs come out that they'll be able to kill them, at that point, anyway. So I don't think it would matter what they think.

Actualy, once out of the womb, its no longer her bodily property. The government can take controle of it and say "Its ourus now, not yours." As cruel as that sounds...its what will probably happen.
ALso...i just htought about the down side to artificial wombs. It can be used for genetic research...that cruel inhuman kind. Scientest can take a donaters fetus, incubate it to a certain age, and then, well...abort it, and use its remains for science...*shudders*

There's stem cell research and such, already.

Pyrotechnic Oracle It would be easier to access and they could achive the cells with out harming them. Well, I don't see that happening, really.
Y'know, since the kids have a right to live, and all.
Doesn't really make sense for them to do that, if they were going to implement the artificial wombs to SAVE kids from abortion.

Thast why I said "donaters" These research companies could hav AWs for the spacific purpose of incubating a fetus only to kill it later and use its parts for experimental reserch in a number of fields.
Seriously McPhee, with how ******** this world is now, do oyu really think its won't get worse?

It wasn't THAT long ago when no one ever imaged the day would come when abortion would become legal...and it did. No one even casted a single vote...and it still became legal.
There is certainly room for us to sink even lower. I know it's hard to imagine such things happening...but I wouldn't put it past some people to sink to that level if we are not on our toes.

My mom can kill me now. I'm as much her DNA now as I was 19 years ago.
Seriously. I'm prochoice when it comes to having kids. I'm choosing to wait until I can handle a child to have sex. Not because sex is solely for procreation for me but because I know that sex is the natural means of impregnation and if the birth control should fail, no one should die for my mistake. Sorry, that's just not right.
And if that's not good enough for reproductive rights, then what the heck do guys have? Those are the same reproductive rights they have...have sex or don't have it. I'm as strong as any man and don't need special treatment and privileges just to get by in this world.

It's kind of fun to pose that exact question to the choicers, and watch them grasp at their straws.
How long will it take before they pull out the "DNA is mine" card?
Only time will tell. xd

Only time will tell. xd I've gotten the response that men should think about that before they have sex. But women shouldn't have to. Dead serious, I was thinking, well thanks for the honesty, a sexism-filled day to you too.
