After all the resting was done the destined duel of the greats was to be continued!"NOW CHILD! FEAR MY SUPERIOR CHAKRA!" Shif shouted as he made a handseal and went poof suddenly forming into a rock lustering into a dazzling white glisten."HA! old man you need to watch this!" Shikaree announced as he made a handseal focusing more chakra and poofing just as shif did transforming into a slightly less luxurious rock but more detailed in appearance"LET IT BEGIN!" the two rocks shouted....weird.....as they stared each other down.....kinda.........noone knew how long this duel would go on!

Shikaree collapsed out of the rocks image collapsing as the rock form crumbled. Shif soon broke his concentration the image of the rock crumbled at his feet soon disapearing as the chakra left each pebble."Damn kid....you seriously are iritatting.....you cant keep up your concentration...and i cant keep mine.....you also cant keep your henge's up for more then a minute......your chakra is really low....lets stop this for the moment and start another training excercise." Shif said.....unfortunately shikaree was unable to answer the ANBU because he had fallen asleep while he was talking...not out of boredum....but out of pure exhaustion."i guess i can let him sleep a few." Shif thought as he sat down next to the collapsed child.

Xen blinked. He cleared out his ear. For a moment there, he could've sworn he heard something in the distance. He shrugged it off and in a flash formed the hand sign...

Xen once more took another form, though this time it was of a nearby shrubbery. The wind rustled through his branches, his roots dug into earth. For one minute he simply sat there, content in his disguise. He finally broke the jutsu and returned to his normal form. Dusting himself he pulled out his notebook, he'd wait till he had his full chakra back before trying for the final phase of training. After all, While he did intend to go to the Otokage's office afterward to apply for his first mission, he wasn't really in a hurry.

Xenon decided to go for a walk while he was recovering his energy. Naturally he had to take his time, if he was going to recover chakra this way, but still, it was relaxing, the training grounds, perhaps for this very reason, were actually a rather beautiful, perhaps for this very reason. He ruffled his own hair slightly, his expression lazy.
He wondered for a moment what kind of missions would be available... He assumed only D-rank, and most of those were said to be mere grunt work... but he wondered...

Xen, as he was walking along the path, came across somthing that for no particular reason. Caught his attention. A little ways off the path he was walking, there was a clearing with two stones. These stones, at first glance, seemed entirely unremarkable, but oddly enough Xen got the impression they were staring at one another intensely, as though locked in some epic battle for superiority... Xenon blinked...then chuckled to himself for being ridiculous. His imagination really was getting the better of him he supposed. He continued on down the path...

He formed the tiger seal, surrounding his body with his own chakra. Xen smiled to himself as he vanished in a cloud of smoke. As he emerged from the cloud, it fading behind him, Xenon checked his reflection in a nearby pond. His smirk split across his face. "Well, well," he said in a suddenly altered voice. "Quite a good job if I say so myself..." he chuckled in a rather pompous manner stroking his newly acquired mustache.
'Now,' he thought turning about. 'I have to hold this for a while....' he smiled again to himself. "Hah hah hah hah!" He said with jolly air "I think I shall go get my shopping done." The rather fat 40 year old man wearing a kimono wandered off toward towards town.

As he walked down the streets, no one paid overdue atention to the man. The civilians just past him by, none noticing the deception. Xen, still in henge, was actually enjoying this. The sheer magnitude of possibilities this jutsu opened to him...
He stayed in character, trying to act as nothing but an over pompous fat man. He gave people condescending looks, sticking his nose into the air, he pushed people aside in a snooty fashion, he was even outright rude to people who attempted to ask him for hand outs. Yes, there was something liberating about not wearing your own face. By the time Xen reached the store, his mood had improved greatly. He'd get his shopping done, rest up after he'd mastered this jutsu, and head off to the Kage's building... his day was looking up.

People were starting to stare, and he was enjoying every minute of it. He was standing in line at the convenience store, his items picked out and placed in a shopping basket. This would have been completely normal and not worthy of notice, had he not been keeping his groceries balanced upon his head.
Even this might not have been as entirely odd had he not still been pretending he didn't notice. His snooty attitude was unchanged, still pretending as though he the cat's meow. Finally he bought his purchases with his ration card, supplied by the village of course, which caused the teller to look at him with even more confusion.
Walking out of the store he turned and walked down the street, still playing right into his character.
Sometimes it was small time pranks like this that, while incredibly childish and downright abusive of ones power, Xen liked to use test people. It wasn't half the fact he was deceiving them that amused him, nor that his actions themselves were funny, it was the reactions of the bystanders that always made him laugh.
Still, that was done. He took his groceries in hand and headed toward his home...

Xen combed the area over, searching every inch of the forested grounds. He'd expected it to be a difficult task, but he was prepared for that, he new he had to hurry though, if he didn't find the notebook before the sun set, it would be a difficult chore indeed. After a hasty but efficient search, it turned up nothing, he'd stake his reputation on it, given he didn't have much of one, the book wasn't here.
He didn't, to his annoyance, find any Ninja who knew anything about the note book or if they didn, they didn't tell him. Given he didn't really pour on the sugar or spice, but he didn't really think doing so would work against his fellow Shinobi. He'd try it in Housing district next...and then he'd really turn on the charisma to see if the villagers knew anything...after all, every rumor started somewhere...

"Okay...okay..." Kimiko was bouncing back and forth on her feet "I can do this... my blazing soul will overcome that of my adversary..." her eyes were filled with determination. She may not have been the brightest in the her class, though admittedly her class was a little scattered now, but she prided herself on being a competent taijutsu user...for a student any way...she squared up now against her opponent, her anticipation building with her overpowering confidence as the epic showdown commenced.

Kimiko was stopped dead, her face pale and eyes wide. She sunk down to the ground ghost lights appearing above her head. "Disgraceful..." she then heard a rather loud sipping noise. She turned her head still looking rather dead inside...until that is a sudden the passion refilled her eyes as she noted who was watching her. She snapped to her feet pointing as though at her mortal enemy "You! Maboroshi!"
Xenon seemed entirely unconcerned, his eyes blinking lazily as he took another sip from his coffee. "Momoe-san...it's been a while. Since before classes were split up I believe."
Kimiko looked suddenly ready for a duel "Fiend!" She shouted animatedly pointing to him.
A small sweat drop appeared over his head but he showed no emotional response. "Indeed." he said nonchalant. "Well you seem busy Momoe-san, I wouldn't want to disturb you." He turned around to leave.
"Hold it right there!" she demanded running after him and falling in step behind him "What are you doing here wicked excuse for a human being?"
What really tickled him is that she'd used "Wicked excuse for a human being like it was his name. "Perhaps I came to soak in your ever present charm." he said with an indulging smile.
"Lies." she declared giving a stare that suggested she had seen through some great deception.
Xenon looked at her side ways, his mellow face returned "Actually in this particular context it would qualify as sarcasm..." he looked back ahead. "Has it occurred to you that your not the only one who's without an academy to train in, I'd imagine we're here for the same thing yes?"
Kimiko lifted an eyebrow scanning his face suspectly "Hmm, very well, I will believe you for now." She stopped walking while he continued "But I'm watching you Demon!"
Xenon waved behind him unphased "Your eyes will be like two beacons of justice for me Momoe-san, may I never commit another nefarious act." He took another sip from his coffee. his smile priceless.
Kimiko crossed her arms looking unsatisfied. 'So my nemesis is also working hard..." her eyes became like two fires 'I'll just have to work ten times as hard!!' She turned around and sped off back to where she'd been training.

Kimiko cracked each of her knuckles individually. Then looked up at her adversary... before her was the tallest tree in the entire training grounds...far taller than even her own house stacked on top of itself many times over... she nodded to herself as she grabbed hold of the tree. She was going to climb this tree with pure effort and strength, or she would do one hundred push ups, and one hundred laps around the clearing! If that jerk Maboroshi was training hard, their was no way she was going to fall behind...no way! She was going to be one of the best Shinobi out there and bring glory back to Oto...more, she was going to save the world some day...so she had to keep working hard no matter what.

Kimiko pulled herself up, her face not showing any joy at successfully starting her climb up the steep trunk. She wasn't finished till this tree was beneath her, and she stood at it's very top. Until then, she would put all her energy into climbing, as opposed to celebrating. This tree was tall and she may fall a few times, but she would persevere after all, she was an agent of love and justice!
Xenon sat in the branch of the tree, looking out over the training grounds. He was actually still feeling rather accomplished from his mission, but knew that he couldn't let that consume him. One, he felt the effects from it still had yet to sink in, to, it would just give him a big head, and he already had enough of an ego already. He chuckled. He laced a string about each of his fingers and commenced with a special solo game of cat's cradle...it always helped him think, so he figured getting his mind warmed up for training today couldn't hurt.

Xenon's fingers nimbly sped away at the task, he felt he was a little tired from his late mission last night, but even so, he was awake enough. He began, now, to ponder at the jutsu he would soon be attempting to master... he had a surprising knowledge of Genjutsu despite his young age, but knowing about something and doing it in active practice were two different things.
