Jin had returned the smile and watched as Aura approached the course. He walked to the side and crossed his arms, watching he closely. She was off to a good start. Which was a plus. Better then his start. Man did he feel the shame. But his come back boosted his moral a bit. His eyes were locked on Aura, his eyes glowed a faint gray as he was ready. She had the power. He could tell. She just needed to control it. Not use too much like he did. It was something he still needed to work on. He overestimated everything. Mainly for safety. But he knew that he would have to work on making the control as precise as possible. Jin moved at her speed, keeping up just beside her about 10 yards from the logs as she made her way through the course. Doing well so far, she was keeping a good pace. But the scene quickly turned upside down. She landed, and was tilting to the left. In reaction, she tried to propel herself to the right with her hands, only to use too much power, which sent her log into the next and practically threw her up in the air and fell backwards. But, like he had told her, he would be right there just in case. She only fell for about two heart beats before she was embraced by Jins strong arms. He had taken a few steps before his eyes flared and he propelled himself towards Aura. He used enough force to not only catch her, but his momentum continued on through her and they both flew passed the course, to safety about 20 yards away from the logs. Jin landed softly on the ground, holding Aura around the waist and upper shoulders, her body pressed against his so she would slid from his embrace and fall. He turned to look at Aura as behind him, there were two thuds from the logs which had fallen to the ground. But, he didn't mind them. "Are you alright Aura?" Jin asked as he looked at her with his faintly glowing eyes. He was below half his energy. To already be like this, he must have used a lot to make sure he succeeded and to save Aura. It was rare for him to be this weak already. Not even half the day was gone. He pushed that aside for now. He needed to make sure Aura was uninjured and wasn't going into any type of shock. Which he doubt it, but it happened. He continued to hold her as he waited for an answer as the wind removed his jet black hair from his face only to rest lightly on his shoulders.

[[ Ok. A lot people want to continue, as do I. I was waiting on Jake and Chyna's match, but they can continue into lunch. ^-^ ]]
The bell rang, indicating that students were dismissed from class and could partake in lunch.

Aura had her eyes closed when she was thrown into the air by the force of the colliding logs. Then she felt someone catch her, knowing it was Jin, who stayed true to his word. Aura clung on for dear life and did not stir. At Jin’s question, Aura looked up and nodded a ‘yes.’ She also noted that his eyes were glowing and realized it meant he used much of his power to save her. The bell tolling for lunchtime brought her back to reality and Aura realized she was still clinging onto Jin. Blushing furiously, she released her grip and took a hesitant step back as she bowed her head in a ‘thank you’ gesture and at the same time hiding her flushed cheeks. Aura felt guilty for causing Jin to use much of his power to protect her from her own mistakes. Wondering what to do an idea struck her and she rustled in her jacket pocket with drawing a pen and her blue pocket notebook. She scribbled down, “Would you like to join me and my friends for lunch?” Aura didn’t know if Jin would accept the invite, but if he did then maybe he would learn about the Student Council Shadowers group and might be interested in joining that as well. Aura handed Jin her notebook and waited.

Jin gently smiled as she flushed red on her cheeks and released her own grip on him and took a step back. His arms gently slid around her her waist and her shoulders as she was out of reach. He let his arms hang at his side and his eyes slowly returned to their normal color of dark brown. He chuckled slightly at her shyness, turning around to look at the course. Just as he thought, the logs have silently positioned themselves back up right as if they were never touched. It was just then that he had realized that the bell had rung. Lunch had started and it would give him time to eat and then come back to practice. He turned around to look at Aura, when she handed him her notebook. Gently taking it and looking at the page, his eyes slightly widened in a surprising shock. An invitation? It was the first he had gotten sense he had been here practically. Besides the few times with the headmaster his first year, he was almost curtain that she would be heading out to be with her friends. But to ask for him to tag along, that was a surprise he didn't expect. With a smile, he handed Aura back her notebook and nodded. "Sure. Thank you." He replied. Looks like he would have to move his practice till after school. Which he didn't mind. It was all that he did anyways after school. His family across seas, practically no friends around to hang out with and nothing to do in this town but shop for food and such. But maybe, this day will be different. For it looked like there is a possibility that he would make a few friends this day, rather then just acquaintances. Turning around, he jogged back where they originally were at the start and picked up his backpack and flung it over his shoulder. Jin then ran back to Aura and with a smiled, extended his arm and swung it slowly to where it pointed towards the school, gesturing her to take lead.

Since Liriale was the head Medical director of the establishment, she had followed the Headmaster towards the other curtains. She stared in recognition of Miss Cailbrea’s skill then slowly turned away to look at Kamen. She knew her look said it all.
Nicolas, who was staring at Emma’s vital monitor trying to figure out what the numbers and blips meant when he noticed Liriale looking in his direction. He glanced her way wondering why she was staring at him. ‘Uh oh’ he thought when he saw the serious look on Liri’s face. She didn’t have to say anything to him for her eyes beckoned and he was right at her side. “What is wrong?” he asked in concern and looked down at Ayla.
Liriale picked up the shriveled flower and showed it to Kamen. “When Miss Cailbrea held the flower in her hand it died in this fashion. She says her hands do not feel warm, which are usually the characteristics of fire benders using their own powers,” Liriale informed Kamen and looked up to meet his eyes. “I think you know more about it.” She whispered.
Nicolas snuck a glance at Headmaster then stared down at the flower Liri held between her fingers. He looked around just to make sure that other then Emma, the group was alone. “Ayla, you are an Expert fire user and under the guidance of Professor Gregorovich, correct? Well, I’m sure you have some back ground information about elemental gemstones or crystals, so I apologize before hand if some of what I say is redundant. Now I will start from the beginning of the Elemental crystal history and finish with what I deduce is happening. Elemental stones are created by Elemental masters. These men and women have excelled beyond the normal elemental manipulation and are able to siphon varied amounts of their power and mold them into stones or crystals. It is a difficult and painful process. One Earth master described it as ‘ripping a piece of your soul and hardening it until it is somewhat like a crystal. Back in the olden days of alchemy and magic, elemental masters displayed their stones as jewelry and even embedded them into weapons. It was a sign of power and mastery, but the trend died out as the affect of ripping one’s soul began to take effect. The masters became mad or dissociated themselves from society. Many ended in asylums, dead from suicide, became hermits or outcasts that shunned the world. Soon the Council of Elements put a restriction on creating elemental gems, yet” Nicolas lifted his index finger for emphasis, “they let the elemental stones be. Now why did Masters go through the terrible process in the first place? Well, there are three main reasons: 1) Rank. It was like displaying a trophy, the more crystals you had meant the greater amount of power you must possess in order to make the stones in the first place. 2) Extra Power. Elemental Stones can be used virtually by anyone whether an elemental manipulator or regular bloke, though they work best the high leveled benders of the appropriate element. I will expand on this in a bit. 3) Money. Gems that offered power fetched a high price and soon greed ensued. You can imagine the chaos that followed where armies and those ignorant of the power they held in their hands used it to meet their own ends. Suffice to say all these reasons caused the Council to enforce such restrictions on stone creations, which are still in effect today and are harshly enforced by each of the element’s own police force.”
“That is the history behind the Elemental Stones, now how does this affect you. Well, these stones were created and usually handed down through family over several generations. You can still see it today, couples of the same element usually stick together and form families,” Nicolas paused and then thoughtfully then added, “though it is a long tradition there are mixed elemental families that do well and are breaking through such rigid traditions. As you are aware, elemental magic is genetic and is almost determined like the sex of a child.Though sometimes the power skips generations, and appears somewhat randomly, it can be traced through lineages. Usually, you have a 50% chance of being the element of your mother or 50% of inheriting your father’s element. Of course there are the rare offspring that do not inherit any elemental power, and the even rarer one’s that inherit both different elemental powers. In the latter case, these babies undergo miscarriages or are born with defects because of the strain elemental magic has on human genetics, we are human after all, not higher entities, and therefore cannot be all-powerful without consequences, which are usually severe.”
“Anyway that was a bit of a side track so back to using the elemental crystals. The common scenario is that heirloom stones are handed down from generations and were created by the family’s pioneering ancestors. It is the mark of established elemental families, a coat of arms almost. Now by tradition, these stones were given to the eldest or most elemental mastered son in the family. They in turn could use it and hand it down. If they decided to use it then they needed to understand what they were dealing with. As I stated before, ‘anyone’ can use these stones, but the appropriate person can use it best, and usually without harsh side effects, though the latter varies as well. The stones allow the bearer to use and manipulate the creator’s power over that certain element. Let us just say for example,” Nicolas nodded to Ayla, “that you had a water gemstone though you are a fire bender. With it, you could manipulate water to match the level of one who had mastered the element. However since you are not of that element or if a non-elemental person did try harness the power of the stone, then you and the non-magic person would have a difficult time just trying to coax that power to do exactly what you wished. That is, without letting loose chaos of the element. Still afterwards you would need to understand how to manipulate that element once you did extricate the power. As you know, we devote our lives to learn just how to use one element, to try to jumpstart another even with knowledge about it does not ensure mastery equal to what the power within those stones offer and what the crystal deserves.”
“Alright, we have covered what happens to those without magic or the of the inappropriate element trying to use a stone, now how about those with the right element? Well, again we will use you as an example, Ayla. Let’s say that you have a fire gemstone given to you, here is the next deciding factor. Are you descended from the user, or not? If not, then you will still have trouble mastering the stone. Remember the description of the wizard earlier? ‘It is like ripping a piece of you soul.’ You literally have a piece of someone’s soul in your hands,” Nicolas made a gesture with his hands as if he were cupping something in between. “That person’s soul will recognize those of family, those not of family yet within their element, as well as those with power but of different element, or entirely without any elemental magic. Suffice to say that the stone gives high preference to surrender to those of family, especially of that element. To pass this preference hurdle, non-familial users must be of mastery level. So here is your question, 'Am I directly related to the person who created this stone?' Of course, many now can’t answer that question, but if you could then it will give you piece of mind. Even if you feel and attachment or a bond with a stone, that doesn’t mean you and its creator are of blood. If you are not of blood, then there is one aspect of the problem, the stone has not accepted you. Thus while trying to use it you are now seeing traces of its side effects.”
“Now that is covered, next thing to tackle are the side affects of those using the appropriate stone. I have direct insight into this because I have dabbled in the art of using Earth stones, my element. However, I still have physical scars and those of which you cannot see, marred on me. Using the stones, you gain the creator’s power, multiplying you own power exponentially. The foreign power seeps into your body and slowly drains away from the stone. Over time, the stone becomes duller and / or smaller with use. The power you extricate becomes a part of you, yet with it comes the person’s soul and personality. Yes, the creator’s personality is seeped into the stone. If you are not careful, the stone can become the master rather than vice versa. Even if you are of blood, you can’t trust them, especially if they happen to come from a certain nasty tempered elemental masters. Those from malicious creators will in turn have terrible powers and have a tendency to disobey or even posses their bearers, while those of gentle masters are more likely to be respectful to their owners. This brings us to the last part. I believe that you have a fire stone,” Nicolas spoke holding Ayla’s dark brown eyes with his green one’s. “Whether you are related, I’m not sure, but by judging by the power’s manifestation that had seeped into you, I would say the one who created your stone did not have very good intentions and does not see you as its equal. Most likely she or he was a master at burning the energy within living organisms and non-living things.” Nicolas gently took the rose from Liri’s hand and held it up. “Yes, the creator was very good at drying up objects, I would have guess it was a water stone, if it had not been for the traces of ash.” Nicolas inspected the plant closely and sure enough, one could see the dry tips and certain sections did seem charred, as if by fire.
“Since you are an expert, I am a little more at ease that you are allowed to keep the crystal, however that does not mean you are ready for it. As I have said the gemstone has given you power, but you must learn to control it. For if, you are not careful, then the power that now flows in your veins could cause harm to another or even death to the bearer or innocent bystanders. This manifestation,” Nicolas held up the brittle rose for added stress, “is just the tip of the creator’s power, right now you are having trouble containing the small amount of power that has settled within you. I will advise you to learn to control it before trying to further play with the stone. If my hunch is correct, then if more of the creator’s power is absorbed by you then there will be worse consequences then accidentally causing small objects to shrivel up. Ayla, I’m sure Professor Gregorovich has informed you about the Fire Consulate. The Elemental Council has four divisions, one for each element. The Fire Consulate is probably the harshest. They must be since power over fire is extremely dangerous especially in the wrong hands. Suffice to say what their opinions on fire crystals are. If you are not able to control power you have now, then lock the crystal away…both of them…or the Consulate will come when they get wind of an Expert suddenly not able to handle her powers or in possession of restricted fire skills.” Nicolas gave Ayla a serious look that even made Liriale stir uncomfortably. He then turned to toss the rose into the garbage binand spoke to the group. “That is all I have to say, you can ask any questions, my door is always open. Please take my advice seriously.” Nicolas said as he placed his hands in his pockets.

((*is stunned by the awesomeness of that post*))
Ayla listened to Nicolas' speech about the crystals. She nodded to most parts of it, and pulled out both of her crystals. The two were of different sizes, the one she had used most recently being the smaller of the two.
"Sir, I was given both of these by a loved one, someone who the Headmaster knows. Mr Gregorovich has trained me well in the use of these, but not as well as I had thought. Unfortunately, I seem to have been the only one from my class to actually turn up recently and I have not seen him for some time now. As to which side of my family I received my element from, I do not know as both my parents, as far as I can recall, were non-magic wielders," Ayla said.
The serious look that he gave her made Ayla look away. It made her feel uncomfortable, at the very least.
"If you feel that the power that is within me at this present time could cause harm to either someone in the University or me, then would it be possible for my dorm room to move? At this present moment, my room is halfway down, and if an accident were to occur, well, I dread to think what might happen," Ayla said.
She now awaited for a reply.
