Elke pushed open a door frantically, a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach. She'd been strangely drawn there, and for once she had listened. Are you being like psychic, kid? Been a while. Or is it just intuition, babe? She let her fingers tap upon her hip feverishly, trying to concentrate. No luck. "You're so bloody stupid, kid." She muttered, freezing instantly as she replayed the words in her head. Don't you dare try that again, she thought. Watch me. I'll take my time, darling.

Don't stand there and look crazy. Walk atleast, girl. Elke nodded weakly, taking a short quick steps while her she turned about wondering what had such a hold over her. She peered at the gleaming window displays, and took a gaze at the food court to her right. Her eyes instantly settled at Josiah. He looked like a mess and she cursed under her breath. She should have been there. You can't do everything, kid. Elke hurried over there, fretting that something had gone wrong. "Josiah. Josiah. Are you okay?"

"Oh, god. I'm so horrible. I'm so sorry, kid. I'm so stupid." Elke plopped weakly beside him. She was horrified and instantly pointed the blame on herself. It was easier that way. Then she'd only have to punish herself. You do that everyday. Stupid punk. "I should've been there. I can't believe this."

"It is. It is. My bloody fault. Damnit." Elke gasped for air, her eyes glancing at him solemnly. They shined in the dim lighting, ready for tears. She covered her face with her still bloody hands, letting a sad grunt escape when she saw the blood come out. Her stomach did a flop and she cursed herself instantly. "You. You should put something in there." She took ehr hands away from her face letting them scrounge around her pockets for a tissue, but all she had close to it was a note. She held it up for him to see for approval.

Th-thank you...and it wasn't your fault at all...I spilled a drink on some guy and a bunch of people beat me up... says Josiah, he takes the note and puts it in his nose...

There goes Mortis's note. I bet he'll kill you now. From beyond the grave. I'd pay to see that. Elke tilted her head, zoning out for a moment and pondering if perhaps this wasn't the best use of what Mortis had left behind. It's fine. You still got his cellphone. Hah. Dead man's cellphone. She took her index finger and wiped away the tears that had formed in her eyes. Blood from her hands smeared across her face and she watched him, completely unaware.

She cocked an eyebrow, wiping the area he pointed too and looked down at her hands now realizing they were covered with blood. "Oh... Alucard. Damnit. I must look like a fool."
