Cabron LaSwan Waynebrizzle Cabron LaSwan Waynebrizzle Cabron LaSwan Waynebrizzle There should be more than ice. Being weak to other dragons is kind of stupid too. It's like "the only way you can fight these broken types is to have one of your own." Ice is such a common and powerful offensive type that I actually consider dragons (90% of which are double weak to it) an enormous risk. Sure, you can switch 'em in relatively safely, but then what? Everyone and their mother knows Ice Punch or Ice Beam. Hope you have 999 speed and attack.
Water-Dragons are kinda cheap, though. I'll give you that. I guess EV training is part of what frustrates me about the battle system too. I tried the battle subway online and met a trainer with six dragon types EV trained for attack and speed, spamming nothing but outrage. It's just stupid and there's no strategy to it. That's... a little ridiculous. Still, I bet an Adamant Weavile with Ice Shard would have straight up wrecked his s**t if he had no Kingdra. It's so satisfying to OHKO a Garchomp with a 40 power attack, you have no idea.
Maybe I just have a huge boner for Weavile or hate how I can never even use my Dragonite because it's too slow, but I really don't think Dragon types are that OP. High risk high reward, definitely, but I wouldn't rely on one like I'd rely on a good water wall.
I don't think EV training is half as dumb as IV breeding, honestly. Maybe it's just because it's far less luck-based than breeding for good IVs is. Anyone with a search engine can get a Pokemon EV trained in a matter of hours; IV breeding can take weeks if you don't hack. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if there were effective strategies against it. I'm just not a good enough trainer, I guess. Nah, you just forgot to bring a speedy or sturdy Ice Beam/Punch spammer this time. Sometimes I forget to bring Rock/Fire/Ghost type attacks and get my Battle Tower win streak crushed by a Shedinja. emotion_facepalm RAGIN' FOR DAYS
Have you ever tried a Sandstorm team? Those are OP, my god. You dunk all over everything and laugh at pretty much every water type but Feraligatr. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Excadrill is absolutely dumb with Sand Rush and deserves the banning that he just got served.

Never played a Sandstorm team in gen 5, and I dunno who that is. xd I just remember finding them nearly unbeatable when I played online in 4th gen. Even my trusty water walls were useless sad

Even though Jellicent is the new standard for Water-type walls, even he is left helpless against an Excadrill going faster than everything in the game when paired with Tyranitar and tearing them to shreds with his ridiculous base attack.

The third, fourth, and fifth Spice and Wolf light novels arrived today. The fourth and fifth books had the dust jackets folded in the wrong places, so everything is off from where it's supposed to be. The spine is most obvious; it's about half on the spine and half folded onto the front cover. The third novel is missing the dust jacket entirely.
I'm not sure whether to be happy and use this as an excuse to get rid of the dust jackets (I like the inside covers better) or be depressed because one of my books will never be complete and the other two will have extra creases everywhere. The part of me that likes consistency is already annoyed because the first volume is backwards from the rest; you don't need to make it any worse! crying
