Malaryush 3.14 We pay $710 for a one bedroom. gonk Ouch. I pay slightly less than that for a three-bedroom house. It's the location. We live in between to rather large colleges. University of Central Florida, and Full Sail is down the street. Our lease is up in October, and we are going to move to a different city [not too much farther from here] that is cheaper. We've got pretty much everything within walking distance though. Even a gaint icecream shaped building. Target, EB Games, Sonic, Winn Dixie, Blockbuster...the list goes on.

I've got the same, but opposite, in terms of location issues. I live in a small town with a really low cost of living, so my rent's a lot less than if I lived in any of the bigger cities nearby. Fortunately, I'm still in a pretty good location within this town. Within a 20 minute walk I can get to the city park & zoo, Walmart & KMart, 3 different banks, several dentists & doctors, a strip mall with game & movie places, and about a dozen different fast food restaurants. Where you're at does sound nice, but yeah, I'd make the move for a cheaper place.

HEaring this talk makes me want to move, but I love California too much to leave. Even if it does cost 1300 dollars for a two bedroom two bath apartment. >_<

Zelyhon Malaryush Zelyhon You owe me thoughts on the AMVs you downloaded. scream !! Yes. Yes, I do. I spent today going shopping -- and buying nothing. Then I got my airline reservations in place for the trip to AX, pre-registered, and submitted a request for hotel reservations. May be a couple days before I know for certain that I got the hotel, but it wasn't showing up as sold out at the time, so I'm hopeful. sweatdrop I'm also now looking for a portable mp3 player and new DigiCam for my trip. whee Then get to posting them! scream Mala at AX! I might have to go for a day or so. Try Creative as far as MP3 players go. I've got one of theirs and it serves me well. We should all figure out which day(s) we want to meet up on. I'll probably go at least one day since I'm within driving distance. 3nodding And I just ordered a Creative Vision: M player. Haven't got it yet so I can't tell you how awesome it is, but it's been getting a lot of good reviews. domokun

hilaroma We should all figure out which day(s) we want to meet up on. I'll probably go at least one day since I'm within driving distance. 3nodding And I just ordered a Creative Vision: M player. Haven't got it yet so I can't tell you how awesome it is, but it's been getting a lot of good reviews. domokun I'll be arriving on the morning of Friday the 30th and leaving the morning/mid-day of Wednesday the 5th, so I'll be around the con the whole time. I'll also be bringing my phone this year, so I'll be reachable. heart I saw a lot of good reviews for the Creative players, mixed in with complaints that their support was really lousy if you did have a problem. There's also a Philips player that sounds pretty nice for a reasonable price, but it's much bigger in size and they've got similar tech support complaints. But then the iPods have their share of negative reviews as well. I just don't want to get something that doesn't work out. sweatdrop
