what bunny said, and the more ev's the higher the stat boost, but don't put in more than 252 into one stat, since that's the highest stat boost you can get

yes, magikarp give 1 Speed EV, so kill 252 Magikarp and you'd get all your Speed EV's or with the (speed) power item and pokerus, you only need to kill 25 magikarp to get 250, and then 1 without the power item to get 252.

Ok i understand know but let see if i got this right so if i battle 25 magikarp i get 250 ev speed right so that means he gives 1 for every KO so what happends if i fight a Pokemon that gives More effort vaules like 3 Sp.A would that mean i would have to battle less of the same pokemon to get the to the EV of 250

yeah so it's 1 stat point for every 4 ev's you gain, but it doesn't matter how much exp you gain, as long as you have the ev's you want

Kenesu12 Ok i understand know but let see if i got this right so if i battle 25 magikarp i get 250 ev speed right so that means he gives 1 for every KO so what happends if i fight a Pokemon that gives More effort vaules like 3 Sp.A would that mean i would have to battle less of the same pokemon to get the to the EV of 250 the problem is... reliably finding pokemon that give more than 1 EV.
for example, seaking gives two, so you would get 12 EVs every battle rather than the 10 from a goldeen.
but goldeen has a 90% appearance rate where seaking is only 10%
and I don't think there is a single poke that gives 3 EVs that you can run into in the wild.
I prefer to stick with 1EV pokes as they are easier to find so it make sit faster, and it doens't make that huge of a dif.
goldeens to 252... 25 + 1 w/ item Seakings to 252... 21

goldeens to 252... 25 + 1 w/ item Seakings to 252... 21 i've found that eving a physical sweeper is the easiest in platinum, for attack ev's go to the route where the draco meteor tutor is, bibarels +2, machoke +2, machop +1, scyther +1, machoke and bibarel i think appear 40% combined, run from anything else and for speed the route to the left of sunnyshore, floatzel +2 and electabuzz +2, wingull +1 with good frequency, i can't remember the percentage though, run from anything else

i do the same, i try to keep to the same amount so i don't get confused, but in those two spots, you run into the +2's a lot so it's faster,
also if you have the versus seeker, theres an innertube boy, I think it's a boy, the one that runs back and forth near the sea underneath the resort place, that has 3 gastrodons, which give you +2 for each one, but i think you have to battle him once or twice before they evolve to gastrodons

just make sure you kill the pokemon in one turn, so it doesn't throw your numbers off
