Peppermint Elf Y'know... you are on my friendlist. But why aren't your posts showing up in my friendslist journal type space? In fact... a lot of people's aren't. Weirdness... *backlogs Shouj's LJ* I've noticed that happens to my LJ every so often, as well. The argument, for instance, wasn't showing up on my friends page. But some of Shouj's posts are. I have to actually go to her journal to see the other posts. I don't really know why. sweatdrop

So, that arguement sounded like it was full of ten kinds of frustration, and I'm sorry Shouj that you had to go through that. But, I did get to see some really deep concepts in that small blurb you put up here (mostly because I haven't logged onto live journal in what feels like an age. sweatdrop ) and frankly that impressed me, mostly because I haven't ever really been alert enough to digest it when you've made similar comments before. I doubt I'll ever understand why people feel the need to shove their ideas on someone who disagrees so violently, it's usually very counter productive, childish in nature. But it sounds like you handled it very well, but I suppose I'll have to check it out for myself. 3nodding

It just gets frustrating when someone tells you "you're saying stupid s**t" and things like I have no clue what I'm talking about. I know that I have a good handle on what's going on and I believe I am taking a more holistic view. It shouldn't get to me though since, frankly, she is not a very smart person and fails to come across as such.

Well I wasn't planning on it... ninja I found the comments rather interesting, but all the hatin was kind of hard to get through. I'm not too keen on the government myself, but I think that if it was put to better use that a lot more could be done to increase the standard of living in our own country, and, more importantly, in the countries around us, thereby effecting the number of people who would feel the NEED to cross the border illegally. Granted, I'm an idealist, I figured that taking out roughly an extra ten dollars through taxes a month, the government could put that hundered and twenty dollars a year to better use, helping to pay off the debts that we are partially responsible for. Of course, I'm rather weird in my beliefs... yeah... sweatdrop

Thank goodness Ed, Edd, and Eddy is still on. Cartoon Network would be total fail if all three of those were gone. crying I never liked Ed, Edd and Eddy. Sorry, but that one, in my opinion, strengthens the argument that American cartoons are definitely NOT cream of the crop. I hate the design, the voices and the premise. However, I do believe that American cartoons are great and even better than Anime in many respects, but Ed Edd and Eddy does not cut it for me. I miss the really old school stuff. I was a bif Ren and Stimpy fan, Daria, Gargoyles, Batman the animated series. And the REALLY old school thundercats and company.
Ren n' Stimpy, Thundercats, Swat Kats, Pirates of the Dark Water. How I miss thee! gonk
