Skizzors Kinetic Dream Streamjumper Kinetic Dream You know what shows I miss? Samurai Jack and MEGAS XLR.[/random] You're not the only one.... especially so in the case of Megas and I M Weasel. I M Weasel too, I'd forgotten about that one. It's unfortunate that some of the gems, including most of the original cartoons CN put out (Johnny Bravo, Courage, etc.), are lost to time and only occasional spots on 'Top 5' shows. neutral I think this is the wrong channel, but.. Animaniacs and Freakazoid. crying Practically the only American TV cartoon I'll watch anymore is Ed, Edd & Eddy. Seriously. They showed 'em for a little while, then took them off the air. But some of the best shows the US had to offer never made it even to VHS when they were big, which is really sad, because the only remains of ALL these shows are owned by the Turner company. neutral Of course, maybe they'll pull a Thunder Cats and start showing/releasing them in ten to fifteen years. xd

Malaryush MegamanPsy Streamjumper Zelyhon Well, how many of you were impacted by the whole boycott thing today? Huh? All the illegal immagrents skipping out on the work they want so badly. They should of used this to round them up. That's what my boss was saying. Actually, the only impact the boycott thing had on me was that my coworkers and I got some good jokes out of it. They mentioned that there was an article about it in the paper and that was the first that I heard. Lisa (our only Hispanic receptionist, who loves to harp on that fact xd ): So should I walk on out and go to this rally thing? Me: Wait, wait, we get to leave work? surprised Can I go, too? I'm...uh...an Irish immigrant! Power to the people! Lisa: You go and say that, and you're going to get shanked. Me: Uh. xd Guess I'd better stay. You have fun. Lisa: Nuh-uh! If I go there, they'll just load us all up in a van and take us to Mexico! Me: xd Probably so. Then we'll have to send somebody to pick you up. "Dang it, Lisa! This is the sixth year in a row!" I didn't even realize it was national, I figured it was just some local thing, since we've got a pretty high illegal immigrant population in this town. sweatdrop Yeah I got some weird looks myself about the whole thing, since I am a 4th or 5th generation English/Irish decent. So people were like "Why the hell do you care about that?" But I do. We had a pretty good response in my area, and it made me proud to be part of it. And people were like "see how bad this impacts people??" when they're focusing on areas like LA where Mexicans are now the majority and make up most of the entry level work force...not small towns like where i'm from. rolleyes Beyond that, it wouldn't affect it as badly as people tried to make it out. There wouldn't be no people in those jobs. There'd just be different people. TRhats an interesting though. I'd like to see who's going to get in line for those jobs......might make a good study for economic impacts.

I really, really miss Courage and Samurai Jack! Thank goodness Ed, Edd, and Eddy is still on. Cartoon Network would be total fail if all three of those were gone. crying I never liked Ed, Edd and Eddy. Sorry, but that one, in my opinion, strengthens the argument that American cartoons are definitely NOT cream of the crop. I hate the design, the voices and the premise. However, I do believe that American cartoons are great and even better than Anime in many respects, but Ed Edd and Eddy does not cut it for me. I miss the really old school stuff. I was a bif Ren and Stimpy fan, Daria, Gargoyles, Batman the animated series. And the REALLY old school thundercats and company.

True, I also miss the Batman cartoons, and Gargoyles was pretty good too.
Hell, turn on a station on Saturday morning and all you get nowadays is crap.

I remember when they had nice saturday morning cartoons. lol I've actualy started collecting some of these series on DVD just to be able to go back and remember what made me love animation so much.

My friends make me look like I don't know what I'm talking about...and they also like to make me look like a crazy Republican. I am so ******** fed up with it. Just because I'd rather not see people get instant amnesty doesn't mean I'm racist.
I knew there was a reason why I don't hang out with anyone from high school. stressed

Or...what's going on? gonk This happens every time I say my opinion. I've come to the conclusion that she's an idiot. I don't think she really understands everything and doesn't really address what I say. And skates around what I say too. Aubry made a little bit of a snide comment as well. I'm just getting sick of it...I guess mainly them making me out to look like an idiot. I know what I'm talking about. I've taken sociology courses (social problems) and we've gone over this so many times in a lot of classes. There are a lot of different perspectives to consider, which I have. I generally do that taken the fact that my major is in science...where you have to take a holistic approach...which I believe I have. But to tear it down, make me look bad, and like an idiot doesn't really hold well with me.
