so, get this s**t. stare in the Pokemon Forum, this chick randomly posts "faggots" on a thread. just that, one hateful word by itself. so when I respond taht cunts like her belong in concentration camps, everyone in that thread attacks me like I'm the bad guy. defending her, and syaing that it doesn't matter cause she was only joking.
and when I refuse to apologize, I get reported and sent a warning by the Gaia Staff.
with a follow-up warning emmediately after. stare
what the ********!?

I agree that the word "f*****t" is just a foul word and I don't like people who use it in a derogatory way. . but bringing The Concentration camp bit into it was taking it a bit too far. . Not just that, but she was clearly trolling and there are rules against responding to trolls. I think that what you should've done was: Just reported her, and the thread and just moved on.

Chieftain Twilight I respond taht cunts like her belong in concentration camps Found your problem. That's a touchy spot for just about everyone and usually carries unfortunate implications. To put things in context, not even on 4chan can you get away with saying something like that without some form of repercussion. 'f*****t' (and plenty of other epithets) on the other hand is ymmv. Some use it for joke fodder, some try to use it for shock value, others are offended by it, and some use it ironically to 'reclaim' the word. Others, like me, just don't care at all and will call someone a f*****t if they're being a f*****t.

I would call someone by an epithet if they were behaving terribly enough to warrant one, but then and only then. words hurt! sticks and stones my a**! 3.) I also understand that what I said won't make me very popular, and I accept any punishment without flinching. after all, I earned it. I was just upset that the other user get's a freaking get-out-of-jail-free pass due to technicalities. it's bullshit in my opinion, plain and simple.

1. ' Your mileage may vary' 2. Devil's advocate here: Using it jokingly or affectionately often cheapens the shock value and impact of the word. As a side effect it just as often spawns new language to take its place. A good starting point to read about it is the wiki page on dysphemisms, the opposite of euphemisms. I also recommend reading the page on the 'euphemism treadmill' phenomena, as essentially the same drift happens but in reverse. 3. Just like as if I attempt to break the legs of people who taunted me every day, made me feel like s**t, or destroyed my trust (true story), the teacher will ignore what they see as the smaller crime (the taunting and etc.) and focus on the bigger crime (the leg-breaking attempts) when doling out punishment.

I'd rather it NOT be taken lightly at all.
