Paradox found his weapon slowing to a halt within ten seconds until he would have to pry it. The other two.. were not very lucky. Swinging their weapons, they found themselves clipping Jack's form, sending scraps of what look like black paper flying about. After positioning themselves for a next strike, they find that not only are their weapons stuck in place, but they can barely move themselves as though they were wading through sticky tar. Almost rooted completely. The air atmosphere was reaching zero quickly, and Jack's hand would raise as Katherine speaks. His face is covered by that hand, his gaze leering out from between his index and middle fingers. It lands upon Katherine, and that silence would continue a while as he just.. watches her, staring with that unwavering, unblinking inhuman gaze. Flies... flies.. flies.. This would continue over and over again within his mind. After repeating it many, many times, chanting along with the rest of the voices in his mind. So many of them. They came from everywhere and nowhere, speaking to him as though they mattered. Why did these thoughts run through his mind? His hand would lower now, hanging down at his side. Waving his hand aside the two servants which Paradox had summoned found themselves dropping to the floor, no longer entangled. "Is Insomnia no more?" That gaze has not left the woman, the air about them beginning to rise just a bit.

His hand motions aside once again, this time dismissing her words. "He needs to be brought to an end. Making him retreat accomplishes nothing. Use whatever time you have to figure out how to kill it." Turning, his form would fade away into the rift without another word. He had nothing more to say, and his intent to kill was rising considerably.

Katherine watched him fade, she didn't smile she only turned away herself, no wonder Kit had kept her mortals close.. She walked up the steps and walked into the main hall. She looked tired and with drawn, yes she had spoken with Jack but Matachi would already know what the conversation had been about and it did not include any romantic anything unless one considered there indiference to one another romantic. She looked up at him for a moment like he couldn't really be there, like it was some mad illusion tormenting her.. then she took a step another.. real. The expression changed to a true tormented one as she walked forward knelling down beside him slowly her hand touching the one on the table her power felt light sweet and comforting melting in to heal his wounds a draining experince however for her.

She sat down feeling her eyes watered, "are you going to tell me what happened? Are you going to tell me why you are moving away from me after you said we were going to work things out?" She leaned her back aginst the table as she looked down to her hands. "Matachi.." She said softly wanting so very badly to fix everything to bring it back together, then there was Insomia to worry about how she would kill him.

"Your wrong i do care, You wouldn't be sitting beside me if i didn't care." She spoke softly painfully. "I wouldn't have sat next to you when you hardly clinged to life if i didn't care, and yes your right Llyr is the most important thing." She said looking up to him now. "It is the lives of those i care about, it is the only thing left alive of my father who gave me the little bit of mortality I have. I hold it above all else and told you before you came into this."

She went to him pulling him into her arms. She did so not caring if he wanted to or not. "I thought if i told you i was sorry, begged forgiveness that you would feel insulted. I am sorry for my actions, and the problem they have caused between us. I am not sorry for my child though i am of what he will become, I am sorry you are hurting.." Now she started crying. "I am sorry I have no idea how to beat Insomia, I am sorry that our sons hate me.. but more than all of that i am sorry i failed, No not failed but failing now as everything that i am."

She stood watching him go. She didn't understand she gave and gave and he turned a way from her more and more.. she didn't know what to do.. the boys.. they would know what to do.. so she stood looking for Mirza and Artrious she found Mirza in the boys rooms sharpening a blade ((sorry for auto putting him somewhere.)) She stood in the door way for a long moment looking at the child that looked more like her. Funny that.. He acted just like Matachi and that thought leaning in the doorway made her smile.
