Zelyhon Well, how many of you were impacted by the whole boycott thing today? Well I didnt stay home from work. I felt as a librarian I supported the boycott by being there to get information to people. I did not buy anything at all yesterday, and that was my day.

Zelyhon Well, how many of you were impacted by the whole boycott thing today? I'm not going to go into the actual politics, as I don't care/know enough specifics to talk intelligently about it. Anyways, there are two things I want to note: 1) Doesn't it seem a bit counter-productive for teachers to say "no penalties for not coming to class"? That kinda makes it a pointless gesture, as those who honestly couldn't care less take it as an excuse not to go to class (I was good, for some reason. Even with an 8 AM section. gonk ). It is fairly empty if you're able to do that without taking any penalty. Yes, your convictions are strong enough that you are willing to...miss fairly empty lectures with no penalty to you. Just something that struck me. 2) Due to people not being at work, only two of the dining halls were open. For those who don't remember, I work at Dominos. This evening, no dining halls at all were open for late night food. With no other food options, the *ENTIRE CAMPUS* decides that it's a good idea to call Domino's for delivery. From 8 to around midnight, the phone never stopped ringing except the one time the boss turned them off so we could catch up. Then again at midnight when he decided "Y'know, we're pretty much out of dough from a busy weekend (since the weekend had an order of 75 extra large pizzas in addition to normal weekend orders.) and turned them off for good. Then I got to go home once we finished the 30+ pizzas that had backed up on the screen. Yet strangely, that was the best day of work I've had in a while. Enough to keep me busy and to keep people off my back about criticizing every little thing. blaugh Pretty much all of downtown Orlando was blocked off yesterday--which doesn't effect me. And some insane Baptist man got arrest for being a jerk. I was watching news footage of it, and I definatly live in the south. Man: They threw water in mah face!!! News: Why? Man: Well, I told thems they were waving the wrong flag and to get thar illegal asses back to Mexico. News: ...

Again, the loudest christian is the one who is a jerk. *sigh* No wonder people think we're all nuts... In any case, I really didn't notice it at all. I went to West Valley and all the people were still there working so...yeah. Weird. I want my Cal Grant certification thing to come back!! scream Bceause then I can figure out how much (if anything) the school will give back to me on the first day of school. ^_^ Whee, getting paid to go to a UC is good.

Little Indigo Zero Omega Little Indigo Glad to hear that you had a nice time at a prom. Usually, I hear nightmarish stories about prom; it's nice to hear happy things for once. It was horrible! gonk I got there 54 minutes and 32 seconds late! My suit fell apart! The girl left me on the dance floor after slapping me and knocking me in the nuts! gonk I wonder if such a story has actually happened to someone. There was one where one of my friends' friends had a dress made out of duct tape and her dress fell apart mid-dance. She had no duct tape to fix it, either... And the boat/yacht in which they had their prom had some malfunction so everyone had to go home. And she didn't have a ride because her date ditched her.
I hear a lot of pathetically funny prom failures. xd Who in their right mind goes to prom in a duct tape dress? xd Ah man, I wish I had people tell me hilarious prom failure stories.

hilaroma Zero Omega hilaroma Whee! New signature~~~~ whee For anyone who's still looking for a rando-sig host, go to tektek.org and sign up for a free beta account in order to use their rando-sig service. My birthday weekend was alright. -Stuff- Thanks again for all the birthday happiness. heart Tek-Tek is doing rando-sigs now? I'll definately look into it before trying to have my dad host mine again. Sounds like a fun weekend, are you for sure going to Japan now or are you still having a few financial troubles? I'm pretty sure I'm still going. My parents figured out most of the financial stuff. The first payment will be a lot lighter if my request to live with Hiro is accepted. [/thank goodness] [/I hope they accept it] We all know that taking a load off of the payment was just an ulterior motive to living with Hiro. ninja domokun

3.14 My favorite part is the part where she calls her boyfriend, "EMOYASHA". I like the fact she says she's goth/emo, yet her favorite band is Green Day.
That and the fact she said, "I am have a boyfriend." Which makes me think that she has a boyfriend... Herself! She's a he! eek

MegamanPsy In word processing today we had to use a quote in a power point presentation, and I use Stream's piledrive quote. Teacher: Let me see that. Me: *Hands paper* Teacher: ......I don't like that quote. Me: I'm not changing it. Teacher: You're supposed to use a quote from a famous author or someone you respect. Me: He's not an author, but I respect him more than anyone around here. Teacher: Why doesn't he have a last name? Me: No one has ever lived to hear it. I don't think she likes me. surprised ... xd
What was the quote? I don't think I heard/remember it.

Malaryush Peppermint Elf I think it depends on the sammich. Bologna, ham, and turkey don't take a lot of effort. PBJ takes a bit more effort due to the opening of multiple jars. Tuna takes even more effort as you have to open the can, drain the water, add mayo, mix, then apply to bread. I advise agaist tuna... and any grilled sammiches as they go against the code of lazy and into the realm of too much work. 3nodding I'm afraid I betrayed the Spirit of Lazy in favour of the Spirit of I Like Nummy Things. Whole-grain wrap, topped with two slices of Muenster and four slices of bacon, microwaved until hot, then slathered in guacamole, with a layer of ham, several layers of turkey, & topped with sprouts. Then wrapped into a roll of pure tasty. crying heart You need to top it off with two Krispy Kreme jelly donuts. domokun

I'm a regular, two slices of white bread, mayo on both sides, two slices of cheese, and a mass of turkey.
Or, two slices of while bread, two slices of cheese, a mass of turkey, and grill dat bab-e up!
