One red eye had barely moved to watch her as she went about picking up things on the floor, noticing her occassional glances at him...what was she looking for? With a sigh and a look back to the book, he shut it and put it back in place before scanning spines again and pulling out another one that looked more promising.
"Well please, don't let me ruin your fun...I'm quiet in here after all." He smirked a little. "So quiet you didn't even notice me here earlier." He liked to fluster her he supposed, see her go all odded out and perhaps a bit vulnerable for a few seconds as she would search to regain her composure....then no doubt come back with a snappy come back that would rip up the stakes that were to support any bridge that may be between them.That was the down side he supposed.

Plopping back down at the desk, she flipped a page in the book and picked up the pen tapping briefly before his words sank in. He'd been here the whole time? But that meant...her fingers stiffened for a moment on the pen and she said nothing, just pretended like the news didn't bother her. He was telling her that to get a reaction out of her. She let the news sink in then turned to him and raised an eyebrow. "Were you? Any thoughts on what you heard?" she asked smirking. In truth she was mortified that he knew first of all she'd been talking to Nym and secondly some of the things she had actually said. How hadn't she noticed him in the room? She must be slipping on her alertnes...damn him.

That look returned to her a moment as he merely watched her. Well...she didn't react the way he had thought she would...or she was just covering really well. Oh well. Standing there, the book laid out in one palm, he flipped pages as he scanned them once more, not caring to read over what he already had. He came off just as uncaring as she did about it all.
"I don't think my opinions on your words would matter to you...I never know how your'e going to take anything I say to you...you speak of one way, yet act in another. And I haven't the drive to figure you out...or find that if what Malik tells me about you is true...though those things have been turning false lately."

Well lok at that it worked. But a small grin to the elven royals, before gestureing to seats if they were so inclined.
"I see Fianna has been putting her time to gettiung your arm back in working order. But what has come to my attention thanks to Piper...is that in order to bring Ramoth to Andal, I'll need to have special shoes made for her. and she is notoriously picky. In fact I think she still wants to turn Sevilin's ferret into a handbag for thieving one of her prized mithril shoes."
A slight grin.
"So...any idea on how to aquire them or do you happen to have a set laying about someplace that can be used?"

She watched him again and then shook her head, neither of them were going to give an inch. "I was just curious. I said a few things that had to get you thinking I'm sure, might have irritated or just rolled right off you like splashed water." He was always on this kick about her being a hypocrite now wasn't he? She didn't even attempt to understand where he got that idea from since he had the oddest notions about most things. HIs last words did make her ears perk and she raised an eyebrow. "And since when you do even listen to Malik much less test his theories? A load of drivel is what he usually spouts, I thought you had better things to do with your time." A shrug, if he wanted to waste his time pondering Malik's harebrained assumptions and notions then he could. "Praytell, just what's been proven false?"

"Well...don't let it get you in trouble and that includes me. I catch you sweet talking someone I think is competition and I'll cute that silver tongue of yours out, Lord D'vinn." A little laugh as she flicked the tip of his nose in normal playful fashion, lounging back against him in his lap once more as her eyes followed her parents as the indeed took seats as well.
Kieran nodded and rubbed lightly at his arm. "Indeed she has, and she's good at what she does, I'll give her that. Then again I really expect nothing less from a rune mage's touch." Still hurt to move though, seeing as his elbow had been more or less shattered.
"Indeed. There's a lot of water in Andal, sperating nations. The nightmares that are there naturally are more or less restricted to Daimos...hot climate, mountains, desert, drow. And they can't traverse the waters, so, you know. Though those with natural horses or the few that have nightmares came up with the idea...horseshoes that mimic a zephyrs ability to levitate...though only activating when not on solid ground."
"Special order mostly...don't really have them stocked up too much, maybe two sets to everyone who orders them. But that's no problem. Kieran has part ownership of that particular trade since he supplies the mithril base and gold overlaying. Carris lays claim to the other since they're on the plains land. If you need a pair and don't have the time to wait too long for them to be made, you can have Anica's second set. Winged she may be, but wings do tire." A pat at Kieran's thigh. "I'll just have him make me two new sets, she needs to be shoed again anyway."
Kieran chuckled lightly. "And what woman doesn't love gold shoes? Of course mithril is easily tinted whatever color, as you well know. Gold is just the distinguishing color in Andal for them."

"Think? Yes. It may come as a shock to you but I do have a brain and it does form opinions that are noteworthy in some cases."He wet two fingers on this tongue, and touched them to the page corner. The turn on the page, the sound of paper scraping paper. "Malik is not as stupid or useless as you may think...like it or not that sword of his is useful and can indeed bore into the mind like a worm through a half rotten apple."
He spared her a glance now, wetting his fingers again and turning the page of the book once more. "The notion that you would back down when asked to..." Of course he left that open...seeing as it would be taken more than one way. As far as he was concerned, Malik had been proven wrong...she wouldn't back down if he denied her, but would only attack him in a different way.

"I will have a need of them, I'm not about to leave Ramoth here in the hands of those that obviously care little for her. Broog isn't bright enough to care for her, Jacob woudl ell her if given a chance, and sevilin hates horses. However the slaves can tend to the foals, they aren't nearly the work of Ramoth, with her particulars."
Though a slight grin to Piper.
"And Piper dictates I'm not allowed to sweet talk potential competition..so anyone I need to know about keeping my silver tongue in my mouth around?"

She chuckled bitterly. "I know very well you have a brain, one that can process information and even come up with ideas independently. I never once alluded to the fact that you were an idiot or didn't have opinions. Sometimes you even have ones that I concern myself with, like now." One eyebrow raised and then her tongue came out to wet her lips much the way he had his fingers only moments ago. "You know, I don't recall you ever asking me to do anything. I recall you ordering or telling if you want to use a nicer word, but never asking. I told you before, if you ask, you might just surprise yourself at what you might receive."

"Well if this Jacob sells my foals, he's loosing his head." Anyone but Keely touching her horses would loose fingers for that matter. Innoruuk help them if they got any bright ideas and decided to exercise them in that area. A look back to him with that sweet smile of hers before she nuzzled under his chin in affectionate manner. "That's cheating if they tell you." A look to the parents.
Kieran and Fianna shared a laugh for a moment. "Rainsong's daughter if anyone...but she's a flirt through and through, but knows her bounds as well. Besides, she wouldn't betray Piper like that. I believe that she has no fear of competition." A look at Piper. "No one would try taking anything from that girl in your lap right there."
Fianna shook her head lightly. "Of anything his tongue may keep him out of troubles. High elves as you know have that complex...and sea elves tend to be ebbed by gracious words as well...then again aren't all elves?" Then a little nod. "I'll have Kieran send Nerian then to fetch them, and put in my own order of course."
"You're just making me do things as if I wasn't here to make the decision myself, aren't you?"
"Indeed I am A'mael, but you're used to that by now."
"Then if you didn't...you're truly proving him wrong...not everthing has to be spoken you know? Somethings don't need words. But seems that your ears have to hear requests and questions rather than letting the whole of yourself intrpert them. Shame really." That pissed him off to no end, that she didn't acknolegde that he had told her no with the hallway situation. See Malik, you were wrong about her. So very wrong. "And recieveing is not my intention..."

Which made him stick his tongue out at her again.
"Oh, and Fianna..I was wondering about your willingness to do a little runing in our bedroom..."

"Most likely...or when she abmushes me...or she'll probably be with Lateef who you'll no doubt be meeting as well." A little chuckle. "If there was a hell raising pair to call by name, it would of been Rainsong and Silverfeather." He shook his head lightly with another chuckle in rememberance.
"We'll see where your silver tongue proves useful or not, now won't we? Just be careful and think before you use it beforehand, eh A'mael?" And when he did stick out his tongue again she grabbed it with thumb and index finger. "What did I tell you about this?" Letting go only to let him talk again. And the moment he did she slapped her hand over his mouth. Oh that was mortifying. "Don't ask about that..."
Fianna blinked in question at Malik's mentioning of runing and then Piper's want to keep him quiet about it. Runing in the bedroom...that brought several things to mind now didn't it? Though she couldn't resist the temptation to pursue the question at Malik's mention of the subject. "Really now, what kind?" Playing dumb just for the laguh value. "Oh that reminds me...you do know that you have several multipurpose runes throughout this place, yes?"
Oh by Innoruuk...she had to indulge him...

"I do. I gave Sevilin permission to place five runes in this fortress. and only five. I expected some minor spying and information gathering..but if they have any other uses I'd be interested in knowing. as for the runing to my room..well..anything you think might be of aid to young lovers in that aspect..and maybe some protection from Sevilin's enevitable meddling. don't need him hearing what goes on behind closed doors at least there if it can be helped."
A grin, and a little hug to Piper. Yes Fianna was indulging him, and he was indulging back. both being vague enough to let any special runings be Fianna's idea but the blame on Malik for giving her permission.

"Hm...you should of specified the size of those runes..." yes, there were only five...that were stretched in chain fashion, a common rune mage expansion technique, to practically cover and entire wall and chain right arounda corner onto another wall, in some cases running off the walls and across floorings, even to skirt door edges. Someone had been a busy little rune mage. Rune chaining...could be useful or like in this case exploited. "Sounds like a good idea...seeing as he's all but pressing his ear to your door..." One of those not pleased looks at the information being passed along, but that dissolved into a smile at the other aspect he was asking on. Fianna gave a little nod, crossing her legs and letting one gently swing in the air. "Suppose I can lend a hand in that aspect too."
Kieran chuckled...oh this was good. Though he couldn't help that same displeased look on mention of Sevilin. He wasn't happy with that drow...he would be perfectly fine if Sevilin's...less noble tendencies merely focused on themselves like they were supposed to, but extending to his daughter and soon to be son in law wasn't a pleasing aspect really. Idea. "Well...I'm sure you could cut those down...should Malik put a size restriction on his own runings." Hey he knew what rune mages were capable...it was frightening in a way. The true test of the master rune mages in Andal would be who would rise to take the spot of the one they all called teacher when he passed or stepped down?
Piper merely shook her head. Once they got started there was just no stopping them now was there? So she contented herself with wrapping her arm around his middle and settling down into his lap more, shifting until she found herself a comfortable position for herself, but also mindful of his own comfort as well. "I dare say that all of us together can be quite the mischevious combination if anything...though you, A'mael, and mother alone are more than enough."
"Oh please, you make me sound right mischevious."
"But my dear, you are. You just don't show it as much as you used to." Another laugh from him. "She's right like Pip when she wants to be, maybe worse."

"However..how about something even more fun. If dear sevilin wants to play like that...Runing in each room. unaffected by his..that can play a recording, if you will of information, actions, or requests that aren't true. let him drive himself nuts trying to figure out what is real and what is not."
A slight chuckle.
"Or...if we want to really be vicious. If I gave you access to a memory, woudl you be able to warp or distort it to certain specifications, and make sure it funnels into his little information web on a loop every evening?"
