About the Meiji Era?
That was the era of industrialization in Japan.
They'd stopped isolating themselves and began trading with Western countries, and began getting better technologies, basically building themselves up to a notable world power.
Then there was conflict with the samurai and such, since the government and class system went under renovation as well. ok i think im starting to get it
but what about the government right before then
there was actully a revolution right?
i think the side that lost was called the tokigawa (sp?)
or was that just the name of the era before meiji?
