Seto considered trying again, to maybe catch Bakura off guard. He did so, and was met with no sort of barrier. Did he take off the Millennium Item? No matter. He quickly possessed Bakura's mind, though he didn't take over the body quite yet. He skimmed over past memories to get an idea of how to best separate the two.
Ryou's Millennium Ring flickered slightly, before the cord around it snapped and it fell to the ground. Ryou's face, which had previously been clouded with trouble, cleared instantly and he looked calmer.
"Hmm... How do marriages work from where you're from?" Bakura asked, holding Rei close.

"Well theres a priest....nothing like the ones here.The male is in a tux...thats this sort of suit...and the brides in this fancy white dress...Depending on what your religon your in...which is a long story most the time they excange vows,put on each others wedding ring.The priest said your now pronoused man and wife,they kiss and go off to a reseption...wich is basicly like a party afterwards were people come and give the bride and groom boring gives that will help in there new life..then you go an a hunnymoon and make out alot..."rei said.
Kira smiled once she noticed he was relaxed and relaxed herself falling asleep.

Bakura laughed. "It's not like that at all here. Usually the marriage is arranged in some way, and the girl is usually very young. If you had lived here you'd have been married off to some old man and had his child by now and on your way with another." He placed a hand on Rei's stomach, frowning slightly at the mental image of her being married to some old man. "The woman just brings all her stuff into the man's house, and then there's usually music to dance to and food to eat." He paused to consider a few things. "Sometimes if the couple is rich enough they'll get a scribe to write a contract. It's only to say who gets what if they split up or anything. Except the poor people don't do that; usually they don't have too many things and hiring somebody who knows how to write is too much."

"And we've already finished the baby-making thing." Bakura said, kissing her back. "So, by all means, we're all ready married." He pulled away and squeezed Rei.

Bakura was silent for a little bit, then said slyly, "You know... I think there was a girl in Kul Elna my parents were going to have me marry. They hinted at it a little." He frowned slightly, his eyes becoming glassy. "I wonder what would have happened if it hadn't been Kul Elna. If I would have married that girl. I think... I may have been happier if I had then I am now."

Bakura frowned slightly, pulling his hand away. "Don't you have doubts like that too? Don't you ever wonder how much better or worse your life would have been if you had never come to this time?"

"Mmm. That would be a waste here." Bakura said, standing up, his back to Rei. "If a woman did that she would either be crazy or unable to bear children. Either way she would probably end up killing herself for being so worthless." Bakura glanced over his shoulder at Rei. "Have you ever considered suicide? You should."

"There are many things that are a sin here." Bakura said, sitting down on the bed. "I, personally, have done many of them. Committed sin? Yes. Robbery with violence? Yes. Stolen? Hell yes. Slain women? Yes, in fact, it was earlier today, I believe." Now Bakura began to count on his fingers. "I've cursed, lain with men, made people cry, attacked people, I'm full of deceit, eavesdropped, insulted many people, been angry for no reason, violated other men's wives, terrorized many..." Bakura ran out of fingers, and shrugged. "The list just goes on and on, my dear."

"Good thing I know how to write, being a priest and all." Seto, who had been in control of the body, allowed his own voice to be heard as he took a hold of Rei's hand. "Tell me, Rei, were those men who visited nice to you? I tried to tell them not to be too rough when I sent them, you know, but I don't think that they were."
