Neji sat on a chair and relaxed as he pulled out a small cup and a tea kettle that already had some hot tea residin insde of it. Neji took the liberty to pour Komen a cup. "Come Komen have a nice cup of tea and relax." Komen did as Neji said and pulled up a chair.
"So komen what have you been up to before the Chunnin Exams? Have you had a mission yet?" Komen shook his head side to side. I have yet to have a Konoha mission. I've been busy training lately to have a misison imparted on me." Neji drank his tea and nodded, "I see. Hmmm after this rest would you like to join me on a small mission? It was a request by a town on the outskirts of Konoha."

"Hmmm ok. I'm game Neji." Komen said as he drank his tea down. Having a chance to have a mission for the first time excited Komen to a unforeseen level. After a few moments of quiet and relaxation both Neji and Komen had finished their tea. Neji got off his chair and walked toward the exit. "Come Komen we must be off. We need time to gather information their before nightfall hits that town." Komen wondered why they needed to rush if it was such a short assignment. "Ummm whats the rush Neji?" Komen asked as he followed Neji out the door.

Nemu woke up, she slowly sat up and looked around. As her mind eventually caught up to her body, the memories of the past day came back to her. How it had been absolutely horrible for most of it, but when she finally made it home, things had gotten better again. The party had been a lot of fun, it had helped erase all the bad memories. She knew her friends wouldn't forget her; that there were people who cared about her. That gave her the strength to get out of bed and ready herself for some more training. But even though she was fixated on that goal, she still had one problem. What sort of training should she do, should she find someone to teach her some more? And if so, then who? There were still lots of strong ninja in the village she hadn't even trained under, and there were lots of techniques she hadn't even seen, let alone learned yet. So many choices, it kind of boggled the mind. But finally she decided not to worry about it, just wander the town and see what happens. (Flower Petal Escape: 1/9)
From how today looked, yesterday was just a bad dream. The clouds were white and fluffy, the breeze was just a little bit cool, it was perfect weather for training. Nemu took a leisurely stroll through the village, not really paying attention to what way she was actually going. Of course she was paying attention, at least to where she put her feet. Her clumsiness the day before had at least made her be careful about that. Before she knew it, she found herself in a small forested area along the outskirts of the village. Now that she thought about it, there were a lot of areas like this one all over the village. That must be why it was called the Village Hidden in the Leaves! Pleased with her knowledge, she almost missed the sound of someone nearby. She just barely caught it, and crept closer to see who it was, what they were doing. (Flower Petal Escape: 2/9)
Nemu stuck her head out past the edge of the tree in front of her, and watched the person a short distance away. She couldn't recognize them right away, but they did look familiar. Shoulder length black hair, and a very distinctive wardrobe, seemingly composed mostly of bandages or scrolls or something. It took Nemu an instant to remember, but there was only one person in the village that she knew of that dressed like that, and that was Kurenai! She watched, curious to see what she was doing all the way out here. It looked like she was training. Seeing a high-level ninja like her train wasn't exactly a common occurrence, so Nemu settled in to keep watching. Maybe she'd learn something from seeing how Kurenai trained? She made sure to try to stay quiet, she didn't want to disturb Kurenai's training. It was quite an interesting set of moves, watching her made Nemu realize how little she'd actually accomplished. (Flower Petal Escape: 3/9)
Nemu had been watching Kurenai train for some time, but hadn't managed to get bored or announce her presence. She felt she was privy to something special, to draw attention to herself would mar it somehow. So she kept quiet, wondering what would happen next, what sort of technique Kurenai would use. Suddenly- "Who's there? Show yourself!" Nemu fell back out of surprise as Kurenai suddenly whirled to face her, whipping a kunai towards her. It must not have been with intent to kill, because it actually missed, sticking fast in the tree right above her head. Gulping nervously, Nemu stepped out of hiding, revealing herself. Whoever Kurenai had been expecting, it certainly wasn't Nemu. She relaxed visibly, and walked over to the young Genin. "And what might you be doing this far out of the way?" Nemu explained how she had just been wandering, trying to find someone to train with, when she found herself out here and heard Kurenai training. She apologized for disturbing her, and was about to turn and leave when Kurenai stopped her. She offered to train Nemu for a little bit, since she had some free time anyways. (Flower Petal Escape: 4/9)
Kurenai was a bit different of a teacher than most of the ones Nemu had had experience with before. She didn't seem to be focused on just mastering a single technique, it seemed she was almost trying to train people as a whole. Nemu was a bit surprised when Kurenai suggested a quick run through the forest to get their hearts beating before they actually began training, but agreed quickly enough. She'd forgotten her own morning jog anyways, so she was actually overdue for a run. They started at a decent enough pace, a jog more than anything. With all the trees surrounding them it seemed a bit harder to be able to run full-out, as there was always a tree or branch right in the way, ready to knock an unwary ninja on their rear. But as moderate as the pace started, it didn't stay that way. Kurenai gradually increased it as they began to circle around inside the dense foliage, making Nemu have to devote more and more of her concentration and skill to avoid being slammed into a tree's trunk. (Flower Petal Escape: 5/9)
Finally, they came to a stop. Nemu sat down to check for all the different scratches she'd gained from the run, surprised she hadn't gotten more. Kurenai stood in front of her, and began speaking. It didn't seem like anything important, just simple small talk. Nemu enjoyed the talk, she hadn't really had a chance to just chat with someone, especially a Jounin! What she didn't know, however, was that Kurenai was actually asking her specific questions disguised as small talk, to find out what sort of a ninja and what sort of a person she was. Apparantly she'd heard enough, Kurenai went silent for a time. Nemu waited, curious as to what would happen next. She didn't have too long to wait, Kurenai said she'd teach Nemu some techniques, as long as she payed attention and she tried her best. Nemu quickly agreed, and they began. Kurenai decided to start with her technique, the Flower Petal Escape, a good technique for escaping from an attack, much like the Substitution technique. (Flower Petal Escape: 6/9)
Nemu listened closely as Kurenai explained her technique. It didn't sound too difficult, at least as far as Genjutsu techniques. She thought it frankly wasn't terribly thrilling until Kurenai said she'd demonstrate it. Nemu watched eagerly, she always liked watching people performing jutsus, whether she knew them or not. Kurenai had her ready a kunai and throw it at her whenever she wanted, to help the technique show it's ability. Nemu waited a brief moment before throwing the kunai. When she did, she watched as Kurenai did a quick combination of hand seals and seemed to vanish. In her place was a beautiful shower of pink flower petals. They made it much harder to look and try to find Kurenai, now it became a little more obvious how useful the technique was. That, and the flower petals were just so pretty! Nemu couldn't help but gasp a little at the petal shower, she hadn't seen much that could compare with that! (Flower Petal Escape: 7/9)
Kurenai reappeared from behind Nemu, and as the petals finished falling she explained a little more about the technique. Overall, it wasn't terribly hard to learn, especially if you already understood and used Genjutsu. Nemu just happened to fit that particular qualifier, she already understood a portion of how the technique worked. But she was still immensely ipressed with it, she really liked it and wanted to be able to do it on her own. Kurenai ran through the hand seals a few more times, going slow enough that Nemu could follow them and memorize the pattern. Once she thought that Nemu had learned the pattern, she explained a bit more about the other necessities of the technique. Such as how much chakra it used, how fast it took effect, approximately, and what sort of contact with the opponent the Genjutsu required as an anchor. Like most Genjutsu, this one's contact point was the eyes. They were the easiest sense to fool, after all. (Flower Petal Escape: 8/9)
Finally, Nemu thought she understood enough of the information that she could actually try the technique on her own. Kurenai gave her permission, and picked up a few acorns from the ground to use in place of shuriken or kunai. Nemu still wasn't quite experienced enough to handle a live fire drill, these would have to do in place. Nemu got to her feet, and tried the hand seal combination a few times, to make sure she was used to it. Then it was time to begin. She began gathering chakra, and waited for the first acorn. There it was! Plunk, it bonked her in the forehead. Rubbing her head, she tried again. Gathering her chakra, she watched intently, waiting for the telltale signs of Kurenai throwing an acorn at her. There it was! Nemu quickly did the seals, and it worked! She felt the Genjutsu take effect, as she could see the petals as well as Kurenai. Using them as a cover, she slipped off to the side. She knew she wasn't as skilled as Kurenai, there was no real chance of sneaking up on her. Instead, she just moved a bit further to the side, where she'd still be within Kurenai's sight, but far enough that it was obvious she'd moved from her last spot. (Flower Petal Escape: 9/9)

Neji didn't say a word as he just started to run his way toward the designated Location. "Neji!" Komen said as he quickly gave chase to Neji. Komen still wondered why Neji was going so fast. NejiLooked back to see Komen was keeping very well. "Hmmm Hurry up Komen. Or are you just a slowpoke." Neji smirked as he sped up. Komen smirked as well. "Ohh...the challenge has just been set." Komen started to speed up as well.
Komen was starting to gain on Neji as he didn't want Neji to be the one with the last laugh. "Neji! Your slowing down!" Komen said as he was literally biting at his hells.

As she thought, Kurenai had known precisely where she was. Using a simple Genjutsu Release, she had escaped from the effect of the Flower Petal Escape and was already looking directly at Nemu. Seeing this, Nemu saw no reason to dilly-dally, so she approached Kurenai once more. She was told she had done alright, that her form was perfectly acceptable. The only real way to become more skilled at genjutsu was to make oneself stronger as whole, to be stronger than your opponent. That, of course, meant more training. This was basically the same plan that Nemu already had, she saw no reason to say that, though. Instead she just listened as Kurenai began to talk more about the nature of Genjutsu. (Flower Petal Dissolve: 1/6)
Genjutsu, the art of illusion. Using ninja techniques to make your opponent believe in something that isn't true, whether it be an apparition of some kind, or an alteration of an already existing object or person. The limits of the class were that it was hard to use Genjutsu on people stronger than yourself, and the fact that they were actually harder to perform than, say, Ninjutsu. The level of concentration and focus, combined with chakra control, made the entire class of skills difficult. But some ninja had skill, skill enough to become experienced Genjutsu users. Kurenai, for one, was extremely skilled in Genjutsu. Even Nemu, as young as she was, already knew a few Genjutsu and could perform them moderately well. (Flower Petal Dissolve: 2/6)
Nemu had heard much of this before, but due to Kurenai's skill at Genjutsu, she could lend an air of authority to the subject. She had much more experience with Genjutsu than most of Nemu's other teachers to date, she knew a lot more in the field. As such, Nemu was able to learn a lot, even from things she'd already heard before. But finally, the talking came to an end, it was time for Nemu to begin her lessons anew, with a second Genjutsu. This one was derived from the one she'd just learned, the Flower Petal Escape. It shared a similar hand seal pattern and design motif, utilizing more flower petals as an aesthetic. But it was more powerful, and had a second degree of usefulness that the first did not. (Flower Petal Dissolve: 3/6)
Kurenai spoke of how Genjutsu were difficult to break once they had affected you, even if you used a Genjutsu Release. The best way to be unaffected was to take precautionary measures and to act fast. But if you were already within a Genjutsu, there were still options. For one, if a ninja knew they were already within a Genjutsu, they could attempt the Genjutsu Release as many times as they wanted. It became a little harder each time, as the genjutsu became more uprooted in them, but they could still attempt it. Unless otherwise occupied by an enemy, of course. But for a true escape, the ninja had to be able to overpower their enemy's Genjutsu, to sublimate their own within it. This was where this technique came in. The Flower Petal Dissolve did just that, it allowed the user to escape froma Genjutsu, and even bring their opponent with them. (Flower Petal Dissolve: 4/6)
Kurenai went silent once more, and began to show Nemu the combination of hand seals to use the technique. For the most part, it was similar to the Flower Petal Escape, actually, the few hand seals were virtually identical. Most Genjutsu didn't use very many hand signs, instead they relied on pure chakra usage. From there she explained more about the chakra used in the technique, pointing out how much was required, and what must be visualized and manifested. With the preliminary lesson out of the way, it was time, once more, for a demonstration. Kurenai needed a large area effect Genjutsu, but since it was difficult to use a Genjutsu on oneself, she first created a Shadow Clone. The clone used a Genjutsu to make the entire area appear to be transforming into an overgrown forest. Not very different from what it already was, but more menacing. (Flower Petal Dissolve: 5/6)
Nemu watched, and was taken under the power of the Genjutsu as well. She very nearly used Genjutsu Release, but waited to see Kurenai's technique first. Kurenai waited for a moment, for the Genjutsu to stabilize, and then she went into action. Clasping her hands together, she unleashed the Flower Petal Dissolve. Much like the Flower Petal Escape, she seemingly disappeared into a swirling torrent of beautiful flower petals. But instead of simply falling to the ground, the petals swirled out, as if by an unseen wind. One of these petals hit Kurenai's Shadow Clone, and she too dissolved into flower petals! The larger cloud of petals swirled around and around, and finally a stray petal landed on Nemu, causing her, as well, to turn into flower petals. It was an odd sensation, and the next thing she knew, everything was back to normal. She'd been removed from the Genjutsu without even really realizing it. Kurenai went over the basics of the technique once more, showing Nemu precisely how to do everything required to be able to perform it on her own. There was still one more technique she had to teach, and these would come in handy for that lesson. (Flower Petal Dissolve: 6/6)

Lokey had been wandering around the village with nothing to do a Genin ran up to him holding a scroll and handed it to him before running off again. Quote: ~to:Lokey Your missions are as follows 1. FInd a ladys cat. 2: Fill in at the Ramen shop. 3: Clean up the beach. "Well then i better get to work." Lokey thought to himself "I know just how to get it all done quickly to." Lokey put the scroll in his pocket quickly and performed the Kage Bunshin no jutsu creating two other clones. Lokey himself went to the ramen shop while sending his other two clones one to find the cat in the forest and the other to clean up the beach.

Now that Nemu had learned two defensive techniques, it was time for Kurenai to teach her an offensive one. Another Genjutsu, of course, this one worked well with a complement of other skills. But before that, Nemu needed to udnerstand how Genjutsu affected the enemy. She already knew that genjutsu could make her opponent see things that weren't really there, or hide things from their sight. That was the most basic level of genjutsu, after all. But it had a lot more potential than that. If a Genjutsu truly got ahold of a person's attention and wasn't disspelled, it could be used, even on it's own, to do serious damage to an opponent. But those techniques were another matter, for another time. For now, the techniques Kurenai was willing to teach would be more than enough to keep Nemu occupied. (Tree Binding Death: 1/7)
Before the actual lesson began, Kurenai suggested they take a walk through the woods. Not a run this time, for there was another point to this excursion. Nemu nodded, and followed as Kurenai led her into the more deeply forested part of the area. Trees popped up all over, making it seem like they were being closed in upon by the plants themselves. Nemu felt a little nervous by this, but Kurenai gave no sign that she was. Of course, she had spent much more time in these woods than Nemu had, that probably had something to do with it. As they walked, Kurenai pointed out different types of trees, from maple to oak, to ash. Many different trees, all of them slightly different. Normally, a person sees a tree, and that's it. They don't notice what kind of tree, it's just a tree. But a ninja needed to know more, about anything and everything. No bit of information, no matter how trivial, was useless to a successful ninja. (Tree Binding Death: 2/7)
Their walk continued a bit longer than Nemu would have guessed, she began to yawn a bit more frequently. She'd been yawning earlier, of course, but as she enjoyed the sedate pace, it became harder than ever to not just curl up under that nice dogwood... She was shaken awake what felt like a second later, Kurenai looking a little frustrated. Of course, Nemu actually had dozed off there, hadn't she? She apologized, and once she felt up to it, they resumed the lesson. By now Nemu was beginning to learn how to tell the trees apart. By the color of their bark, by the shape of their leaves, by all sorts of information. Kurenai seemed pleased, apparantly this information was important for what would come next. (Tree Binding Death: 3/7)
After they walked a little bit longer, they finally found themselves at the spot where they'd first started, and it was time to resume the actual lesson. Kurenai began speaking of it as a way to bind an opponent to one location, giving the user a chance to either attack, or escape, as the situation demands. But explanation could only go so far. She went into the different actions needed to actually perform the technique, the hand seals, and the chakra, making sure Nemu understood each well before continuing to the next. With that done, it was time to show the technique in action. Nemu would play a part in this example, so she could see first-hand how effective it could be against an opponent. She felt a little uneasy, but trusted Kurenai to not do anything too drastic. (Tree Binding Death: 4/7)
At first, nothing seemed to happen. Nemu was just watching Kurenai, and when she did the hand seal, nothing seemed to happen. She wondered if Kurenai had messed up on purpose, when suddenly she felt something against her back. She tried to jump away, but found she couldn't move! She was still able to move her head, though, and tilted it down to look at what had happened. Tree branches? She was bound to a large tree, it's branches curled around her to hold her in place. As much as she struggled, they were not going to give her up. Kurenai approached, and tapped her on the forehead. "And this is the moment when the user would either make their attack or escape." (Tree Binding Death: 5/7)
Nemu understood now. Even as a Genjutsu, it had still been able to actually hold her in place! There hadn't been a tree there before the technique, so the entire tree must have been merely an illusion. She hadn't been noticed anythign happening at first because the tree had grown behind her. And by the time she did notice it, it had been much too late. Of course, that could have just been from her own abyssmally low level of focus, especially upon awakening from a nap. Kurenai released the Genjutsu, and Nemu straightened up, rubbing her arms where she thought the bark had been scratching her. Of course, she didn't bear any scratches now, it had been an illusion, but such detail was very impressive, especially to her. (Tree Binding Death: 6/7)
Now that she had seen the techniqe, Nemu would be able to try it herself. She mentally ran over the combination of actions required, and double-checked with Kurenai as well. Finally, she felt confident enough to actually attempt it. Kurenai stood at the ready, waiting for Nemu's attempt, to see if it would succeed or fail. Now! Nemu tried it, clasping her hand stogether and exerting her will and chakra. It seemed to work, she could see the tree beginning to grow behind Kurenai. She tried to keep her eyes level, to avoid giving Kurenai the signal that there was something behind her. Of course it was no good, Kurenai already seemed to know it was there. But even if she hadn't she could have told that something was up by Nemu occasionally looking down and behind her. Finally, the genjutsu reached it's ready stage, and the branches curled around Kurenai, holding her fast. She gave a few experimental struggles, it held together pretty well. She could probably just break through, since Nemu's skill was still rather low. But instead, she used her Flower Petal Dissolve again, to show Nemu once more how it could be used to escape a Genjutsu. It worked, after an instant had passed, both of them had become flower petals and escaped from the Genjutsu. With that, Kurenai pronounced Nemu's training with her done, for the moment. She had no more techniques which she felt Nemu was ready to learn yet. Also it was getting rather late, Nemu should probably head home for the night. Nemu nodded and bid her newest teacher farewell. (Tree Binding Death: 7/7)

Suddenly as the Gouen Rasengan was near to completion Naomi jolted her arm backward as the Gouen Rasengan vanished. "What happened kid? You nearly had it." "It burned me is all. I'll start again." replied Naomi as Jiraiya saw the burn on her hand. "You can always take a break." "I know but I want to get finished today." "And why is that?" "I'm planning to leave Konoha for a while and I've yet to learn basic ninja skills like Body Flicker or Leaf Great Whirlwind." "What are you training so hard for? Your dream of becoming Hokage is life long goal am I right?" "Yes but... I have enemies and I must become much stronger to secure my safety. I have been defeated twice already and that is far too many times as is." concluded Naomi continuing her training as Jiraiya watched her.

Naomi finally mastered the Gouen Rasengan with her right hand so after eating she planned to practice with her left. A pot of ramen sat atop a blazing fire as Naomi began to look at the stars. "Who am I training to become stronger because of?" thought Naomi as the steam from the pot floated into the air. "There are so many... they aren't my enemies but I want to become strong enough to defeat them... Ace, Lee, Yari, Komen, and Seki. I do want to become stronger than my sensei Drago but that will take a lot longer. And then there's the Akatsuki... I have to defeat them all so I can finally live my life without worrying about my life or my friends and family." she continued thinking as the ramen pot whistled and Jiraiya took the pot from over the fire.

As the two ate Naomi practiced her hand motions with her left hand while eating from the bowl of ramen in her lap with her right hand. "Jiraiya... why do you ask your pupils to get you women in order to train them?" "For my research... the private portion of my research of course." "Are you going to continue doing that when you get married one day?" "MARRIED?!? My dear I'm a player!" "If your such a player then where's your swarm of adoring women?" "Their on an all expense paid vacation-" "That's not true!" "Fine... I don't have any but that doesn't mean I'm not a player." "Sure it doesn't. Fine then." replied Naomi finsihing her ramen. "Whelp I'd better get back to my training." "Don't use too much chakra." "Don't worry, I won't." replied Naomi walking aways away from Jiraiya.
