"Good luck with that." Caliver said off-handedly. "Not that killing us is exactly hard, but you saw how permanent it is." He shrugged, still smiling at Jack. His eyes rotated in his head to face jack, while his face was still in the same place. "Besides, you can't kill me, no matter how hard you tried."

Katherine who was in her bedroom while all of this was going on stood. She wore a gown of soft pink, a very light fabric that felt good on her skin her long golden hair fell freely behind her, she walked into Thanatos's room she picked him out of the small crib and walked out onto the balcony with him sitting down with him in her arms. Her purple eyes looking down to him a smile touched her lips her purple eyes looked back to her from the babe. "Whatever you grow to be you will always be my son.. no matter what is said."

Sitting high up on the thick forest tree, Aisis braided stems of flowers together. A long rope of flower was lowered to her knees. Her hair was let down, so it was extremely long. She kicked her legs back and forth as she did this. She only stopped working on her little rope when she looked up at the town gates. She couldn't help but wonder when the time would be that she can figure out what had happened to her home.

A thick cloud of smoke rises before that emotionless visage as he exhales. That roll of tobacco hangs from his lips and his head is tilted back a ways now. "Then, shall we make a game of it?" He snaps his fingers and that massive book of flesh appears within the palm of his hand. Holding it at the bottom of his binder he would flip through a few pages before a brow raises. "That creation can only be destroyed by Katherine because she is the only being currently residing within this realm which can cast light attribute spells of that capacity. But you.." He closes that massive book with two fingers and it disappears from sight. "No, not you, you are simply riding a wave which will end you anyway. Perhaps we should toss dice, or shuffle cards?"

The smiling visage of Caliver replies. He is Insomnia's prophet, after all. "That is the rule, but we aren't ones to play by the rules, you know." Caliver responded, letting his hand make a circle in the air. A small castle appeared in the circle. "If you want to play a game, then play the game you want to play."

"I am going to bet that Matachi." He would poke the front gate of the castle. "Will attempt to fight, and if he cannot win." A red dot would hover at the front gate. "I bet you twenty lives. I will also bet another twenty that Katherine will defeat Insomnia, but it will not be in the first conflict." With this a pile of forty red 'chips' would appear upon his side of the castle. "And.. another ten that the front of the castle will be obliterated."

Caliver laughed, watching the red chips appear on the side of the castle. "The king will fall to the man he has killed. That is already a given, so no bet made there." Twenty of those red chips fell away, and thirty silver and black chips descended from the heavens in another pile. "The others, I have a few spares I can gamble with, so that's that." The silver and black ships glowed breifly, souls falling into them from a small vial on Caliver's person. Just like insomnia, he needed the souls to survive, but unlike insomnia, he couldn't keep them within himself.
The great figure of insomnia appeared in front of the castle, and then shrunk, smaller and smaller, until he was the size of a normal person, but nowhere near the shape. Even with the cloak he had found, two large bumps protruded from his back. Four fingered claws stuck out of the sleeves on arms too long for a normal human. THe head became more monstrous than all the rest, and he walked forward, leering with that alien face.

Returning to the castle, Paradox draped the massive warhammer he always carried over his shoulder. He dodged pass servants, guards, and all the like. The general had left to take care of some buisness out in the forest, and it had taken longer then usual, leaving his usual grounds to hunt the bandits all the way back to their caves.

"Oh, I see. So you have noticed." He would remain as he is, a hand resting upon his hip while his other hangs behind him, his back curving a bit. "When Insomnia dies, I take your Soul." The world about them seemed to tumble around violently until they are surrounded by space, the eternal darkness with its countless stars that riddle the area with different colored lights. "You probably already know what will happen to it afterward." Smoke rises before this dangerous visage, the cherry of that roll of tobacco glowing brightly momentarily as he draws upon it only to release twin jets of smoke past his nostrils.

Caliver nodded, "You can have what is left of my soul if Insomnia is killed." Caliver said, smiling no more. Caliver moved, sitting himself in a chair, for their was always a chair when Caliver needed one. A small role of paper would appear in his hand, emanating a scroll. Inb a high and mighty voice, "The automation uses soul like a fire uses wood, changing it into pure energy, unleashing upon the world. Once it gains enough fuel, it becomes uncontrollable, unstoppable as the forest fire is to the forest, so will the automation to it's targets." The intonation ended, the scroll blank. He turned back to Jack, smiling. "I told you, I don't have much use for my soul, and Serenity never had one, being true demon spawn, the reason she can do what she can do." The scroll dissapeared, to be replaced by nothing in particular. "So goes the theory, anyway."

"There is something in her chest." He would exhale a thin stream of smoke which transforms itself into the shape of the dagger which resides within Serenity. "You know it, most likely, if not you are fairly blind. Either way, I always have a different trick up my sleeve in order to make your furnace disappear. I would appreciate that artifact, very much. I know where a matching object exists."

Caliver laughed, letting a clone of serenity walk up to him, babbling up nonsense. She stopped talking, and a look of pain came over her. The dagger flew out, and into his hand. "This is insomnia's, actually. We only placed it in the girl to make a connection between them." The dagger dissapeared into smoke, which drifted away into nothingness. Serenity sank into the floor. "You can appreciate it all you want, but I can't get it for you, and I know nobody who is stupid enough to try." Caliver said, muttering other things other his breath at the same time. "Not even the gods could pry it away from him, not even the weapon with all her power."
Paradox left the castle after receiving his report and hearing the news from KAtherine. The false god was back it seemed. He ran out to the rift between the realms. The general needed to end this, and attacking the physical body was noway to do it.

He would tilt his head aside a bit as he stretches. Turning, he would take a few steps, hands in the pockets of his coat. "Then, our game is still in effect. I have a game to play with someone else. Until then." He disappears. It took almost no time at all, appearing at the entrance to the rift which Paradox was making his way for. His head is low, form hunched just a bit forward, and that gaze of his is as menacing as always. This time, though, it carries humor as he lowers that dying roll of tobacco which he flicks away. "Excuse me, but I believe this is where your current travel ends. I suggest turning around, or drawing your weapon. One of the two."

The general turns to Jack, seemingly confused. "Did you forget, or do you remember? There is no reason for attack." He said, not really stopping in his movement towards the rift. The paradox chose neither suggestions, but another, as he almost always did.

There was no walking by him. Paradox was what he was, but Jack.. well, he was bored. Paradox would just have to play with him whether he liked to or not. "I do not need interference. This is not the direction you are allowed to move." He takes two steps forward, unarmed as usual. "Unfortunately for you, this is where your game halts, it will continue later while this one takes its place."
