MAy sighed as Minae shrugged, now knowing fully to which extent the power of the Wardens and that of the Powers(you know, Asarae, Alianae, etc.). They could even manipulate Fate in order to keep someone alive...
Minasia's head quickly rose from it's lowered, thinking position as she looked around.

"Well then! May and I will be off. I have an impression Kalco's impatient to see at least ONE of us he knows..."

"W-what?! So soon...? But..." Minae shot her guard a deadly glare as May sighed and forcefully nodded. "Aye... We'll be waiting for you four-" she gestured at Alianae, Sarae, Kalios and Sora "in Ellesmera. That IS were we're going...?"
"Quite right. In any case... I'll be off, at least."

On this, Minae leapt in the air, quite high and far, dissapearing the the leafy roof of the forest.

May, though, stayed behind a little while... And shot arrows through Sora and Kalios' eyes.

"YOU two are COMING with ME. You are NOT staying here and trying some OTHER STUPID and POITNLESS stunt! Now get up-UP! Oh, PLEASE! Don'give me those faces you two..."

((Umm...they were leaving anyways...))

Sora and Kalios stood up. Looking at each other with shock, Sora mentally whispered a thought to Kalios. Sora and Kalios walked after May in silence for what felt like eternity. Soon the path opened up into the discreet city of Ellesmera. He could feel the presence of the other elves around, and the feel of Kalco and Halbark. "This way," he said, ducking into a side-alley that opened up into an unused field, the familiar sight of Kalco in the field was enough to calm his tired mind for the moment. He was another Dragon Rider. It made him feel as if he weren't alone.

((But it's alright! biggrin ))

Minasia had already been in the small... Clearing, was it?
IN ANY CASE, she had been there for a while, now, perched in a nearby tree, not risking the sanctuary of it only to greet the others; she'd wait, patiently, for them all to be together.

May, though, caught a tendril of-what was it?- comfort upon seeing an other rider. She communicated this to Minae, and to her great demise, was now calmly but angrily, walking towards Sora.

'And I suppose I'M no rider, right? I suppose I'M not much of any comfort at all, AM I? I'm not a rider, I haven't lost a dragon, I haven'T seen him come back to life, have I?!' she accused, forcing the mental bond between them both wider and wider, not caring about the pain such force would cause...
At the moment, at least.

When may noticed the snarl-like grimace of fury Minasia had on, she quickly stood in front of her, knowing she would attack her own guard.

"MINASIA! Don't do anything-"

"Get out of the way, May..." she whispered, closing her eyes and relaxing her visage to look as she always had.

Drama-queen much?
Have to say none of them(talking about EVERYONE, including Alianae and Sarae...) have had any sleep at all, which would probably explain this sudden outburst of dramatisation...

((I could see the entire 'Sora is a failure at life version:
"But you're OLD!!!" xD))

"Minasia," Sora said, speaking in a calm voice. "You are a Rider. You have the gedwey ignasia and memories of a dear friend to prove it. However," he admitted, and side-glared at May. If she hadn't told Minae of his feelings, he wouldn't have to deal with this. "When I see him, I'm glad that he hasn't been assasinated by others yet. When I see you..." he paused for a second, and reached into his mind, picking up a collection of emotions. "This is what I feel." He started a mind-whisper between only him and her, and sent the emotions. They were far more passionate that anything an image of a dragon could do. They were mixed emotions of pleasure, but one stood out. It seemed to be fed by the others, and portrayed a depth that it had no end.

"This is how I feel when I'm with you. I try to hide it. I try to hide all feelings. Whether I'm successful or not, I'm not sure. But on the inside, my feelings are as eternal as the elves."

((wow...really cheesy...g2g. we're going to watch 'the ringer'))

((VERY cheesy indeed... But cute nonetheless. 3nodding ))

May, at that moment, was probably as winded as Minasia. Though May didn't know what was going on between those two minds, the feeble description that came with it seemed enough for her to lower her arms, step away and sigh.

"Wow. This is... Unexpected..." she whipered, talking about that whole 'coming out of his shell' thing.

Minasia was now slightly starting to regret May's absence; she was now unable to hide her pink, warm face.
All those words, all those feelings... She simply wanted to take them away, sit down, and listen to them to make sure she heard right, THEN get up, and fall down.
Bu~t, there wasn't any time or space for that, so she simply dropped to her knees. OF COURSE she knew of what he felt for her(and she didn't pretend to be blind to it), but THIS...?

Miae's eyes were blank, her face now growinf pale as she was starting to reflect upon other things when she muttered "How am I supposed to return to Alalea...?", because, of course, she had a far greater expansion of thought at the moment.

What would her entourage say if they saw her coming back home with someone other than May? A MAN at that, a man with whom she shared a rather awkward-

"Minasia, stop thinking to much..." May reproached, crossing her arms over her chest. "Just get up, turn around, and let's actually PAY ATTENTION to Halbark and Kalco, who, might I add, are RIGHT BEHIND US."

A thought swept over Sarea. She put a hand over her mouth, and, when she removed it, the corners of her mouth were slightly upturned, in a smile.

"Terra, I do believe we need to go to Ellesmera, but since there is a nice..reunion taking place already..maybe we should forestall it? Come. There are things I could tell you that no other being on this world know of. Explainations as lengthy as a schoolteacher's lecture, paradoxes that wrap around each other. We were there are the creation. And we remember..even as fragile as the bond it. All of us do remember, although at points it seems forgotten. Anything you wish the understand..we can tell you. It is Fate's wish for you to know one, just one of our secrets. And it is your choice what it is you wish to know. The only condition, you cannot tell the others, anyone, until the time is right. And you will feel it when it comes. So, what knowledge shall I impart for you?"

There was an..almost micheivious air about her. A playful aura hang about her. And she was more..expressive, dramatic..call it what you will, today. Well..everybody needs sleep.. Indeed, she was toying with her hair as she said this, long golden waves, almos curls that fell down her back. They were only the slightest bit dirty and dull, but for the msot part, golden light streamed from her as if it were a halo.

Terra thought for a brief second, and then answered without hesitation. The Portal. Whatever it was that Sora summoned that took us from there to here. I want to know everything about it. How it's summoned, where it can go, what it's capabilities are, what it's powered by, why it didn't kill us. I want to know every bit of information that there is about the thing. Terra said. She knew that no matter how impressive the information was, she couldn't tell them. She didn't care. And besides, when the time's right, she could tell him.

Kalios looked at Minasia and Sora, and blocked his mind from Sora's. Sora might have been blocking, but they were together far longer than Sora had been with Terra. The emotions seeped through likes noises through a door. Muffled, but audible nonetheless. He was glad that May had interrupted Minasia's worries. "Yes, let's," he agreed, and looked at Sora, unlocking his mind, and mentally whispered to Sora, making sure that NOBODY could hear him, and whispered a sentence in the Ancient Language.

((Sentence not shown to allow for secrecy.))

Sora kept eye contact with Minasia for a second, and then turned to look at Kalco. "We kinda know," he said. "So, ud there anything that you want to tell us?" he asked, pretty blunt. He'd never be able to act the same way around this group ever again.

"Well, for starters..." Kalco scratched his stubble."...I've been fighting my way through the two continents to get back to you guys. I've been chased by Urgals, Kull, Ra'zac, and every other imgainable creature, I've dueled with warlords, shamans, and Shades, and, oh yeah, stumbled into my grandad. But that's a story for another time. What about you guys?"

((Hmm..I might need your help with this.))

Sarea smiled. "I surmised as much. It is..a very long story to retell. And we have not much time..but I believe..Time might just be with us. So let us begin. The portal..is left over from the Beginning. Creation. Whatever you wish to call it. It is the residual energy from such a powerful magical source, that first created these lands. The source that fueled the magick hereabouts into life. The lifeblood of the universe..I suppose you could call it. This source created life as we know it, it is what the dwarves regard as a god. But one can never hold that much together alone, and so it created the life, the lives of everything.

The Powers..we were there are the Creation, we were a Creation, but not at the same time. The Portal..is a bit like us in that respect. But otherwise, it is completely different. The Portal is a..tool which only we can command with ease. Any other may only travel through it by sheer stubborness and foolishness..but none will survive unless the Three let them. It can take you anywhere you wish, any time you wish. Other worlds, paradoxes, parallels...anywhere your mind can call into vision. With it one can travel even so far as the destruction of this world..but never might one be able to get to the very beggining, because the portal was created in the beginning.

There have been many who have stumbled across it unintentionally...and they have survived. Some have been brought to it by their wyrd. The Portal has many guises..you might also remember it as the entrance to all the Places, the Gates of Alia..basically any and every doorway the Powers frequent, that must not be entered by any who were not needed there.

And then there are the Wardens..the clearing in which they became Wardens was the portal. And so each Warden carries within themselves, a link to the Creation, to the lifeblood of the universe. It is this that makes them so special. And because of this link, the portal had been known to come at the bidding of a Warden. In the same was a mother would not kill her own children unless she was forced and had no other option, so the Portal behaves towards the Wardens. The Powers..are more like sisters of it. Sora's incantation..was a foolish one. The Portal could not intervene, but had to take his magic all the way to his destination. Ellesmera. He should have said, take us closer. Never use a definite. Now..the reason you dropped out and were not killed..well, I have explained that in part. The Powers hate to see the Portal having to act against it's own wishes..we help and intervene where possible.

The lifeblood..have you not guessed? It is light. Light magick..made up of blue, green, red... White. Light. Invisible? Maybe. It makes up everything. And the Portal, is the purest source of it you could possibly find now. Untainted. Sure, We still have the use of it, but the Powers each take an aspect of the Creation, and the Wardens have it on a lesser scale..in imitation of us I suppose. For in both cases, there is an undefined number of members. Take it down far enough, and we are all one.

And that is the truth, as plain as it will come. Has it satisfied you? Have I answered as much as you want to know about the portal? Since it is a question still about the portal, you can know any aspect of it you please."

Terra looked at Sarea. I think that's all, she replied. Should we return to the Riders?

Sora looked at Kalco. "We went to the Places, May ran into her mom and made Kalios a new body, and we got trapped in time until about five minutes ago. Then I stupidly opened a Portal to Ellesmera from the woods, however, it left us out about 1000 yards before Ellesmera. And now we're here," he said. "Terra's off with Sarea talking about something or another."

May sighed and turned around to face Kalco; he did, as a matter of fact, look worn out from all the previously described battle.
Though... Some things he had said didn't make sense. She cast a side look to Minasia, only to find out that she had thought the same thing as herself.

Minasia, as for her, had listened with more or less interest in the small tale of events kalco had been through. Ra'zac? Shades? TWO continents? For all she knew, they had all stayed in Alagaesia all the time; if only momentarily dissapeared from every time when they had lost themselves IN it.
And thus, she was the first to ask the necessary questions when both she and May had agreed that certain facts didn't make any sense.

"Kalco... Not that I doupt your adventures and your word, but... Isn't it highly unlikely that you encouter Ra'zac and shades, AND get out of a battle with them? I mean, a few people I've known haven't had the pleasure to simply meet a shade and just run away alive... And Ra'zac...? There are only six remaining from the original three hundred... And, unless you wandered in the darkest places in Alagaesia... You're not supposed to meet any, since the somber places are their breeding and feeding grounds..."

From here, May picked up, cutting off her protégée.

"Also... TWO continents? Unless you've discovered new land, the only other KNOWN continent is Alalea... As well as the fact that we've never ONCE left Alagaesia... So it's highly unlikely that you would've, in the short time span we've been seperated, that you would've EVEN have the time to travel to Alalea and back..."

"Are you.... Even TELLING us the truth?"

Kalco scratched the back of his head."I AM telling you the truth! And you're not the only one who think it's weird. I'm thinking I never actually did it.But.....What would I have been doing?"
