Hikari looked around "Can't see anything, what about you Seph?" Seph was a few metres away "nothing" She cast ultima at the nearest blasting some of the others backwards. "Honestly are you all blind! It's over there" a large red creature appeared casting some other kind of fire attack towards a group of fiends. It looks like this  a small path formed revealing a smaller fiend. It was about knee height.

"There it is!" She sent an arrow towards the fiend. It hit it right in the skull. The fiend however just ignored it "What! it had no effect"

Oassu's jaw dropped he stared stunned while Alex frantically pistol
whipped the skeletons away. Itaka turned "Hah what's that supposed to be" Kimino blasted energy at the midget fiend before turning to the red demon "interesting a fiend fighting fiends"

"I'm not exactly a fiend." He turned to Seph "Nice to see you again so soon. I see everyone has gotten stronger. Except alex. He still sucks as much as ever" Hikari cast holy at the small fiend "Who the hell are you?" He cast a firaga at the skeleton, which caught fire "just an old ally revealing it's true form" He smirked "Don't you recognise my voice? Most of you have no excuse for not knowing who i am"

Itaka sighed "The old man...from the city"
Oassu thought "Hey it's whatsisname!"
Alex was in a fit of rage "You just wait until this is over Alpha! I've got an arrest warrant with your name on it!"
Kimino smiled slightly enjoying Alex's discomfort he turned and threw his blade staff at the small fiend who the others semmed to be ignoring

"I've been an outlaw for over 500 years and still going strong. But time to get back to reality." Alpha ran towards the fiend pulling out a blade slicing at the fiends neck. The head fell to the floor and the rest of the fiend collapsed. "Sometimes the simplest of methods are the most effective."
"Don't tell me, it's one of your little demon friends" Hikari whispered to Seph. She strode up to the fire demon "You know you could at least give an introduction."
He glared at her "Well if you ask nicely i will" I can see these two are gonna get along Seph thought

Kimino walked up "Excuse my student she can be a bit hotheaded" he stepped by her glaring at her as he went "I am Kimino this is my pupil Hikari who doesn't know much about respect to her elders" he sighed "I believe you know Seph Alex and Itaka and Felina. Itaka is a swordsman who travels with us" he gestured to the goliath who scowled at the demon

He stood directly in front of Hikari. "I have put up with people like you many times before, i would hate to make you think you were anything special"
"At least i do my own spying" Hikari snapped. She knew that her comment would cause the impact she wanted. "So it was you that attacked my spies. You did a pretty poor attempt of killing them as they all managed to report back with no more than a couple of broken bones"
This was really begining to annoy Seph mental note: fire and light are not compatible "Shut up both of you! we don't have time to listen to you argue"

Kimino was concerned "Since when did you have authority to command a spying mission Hikari and why wasn't I informed?"
Oassu sighed "Hey come on already we gotta go destroy that thing" he jerked his thumb at the abyss. "

"Hes right. So how we gonna do this we can't exactly climb down" Seph asked. "We may as well get everything out the way so theres nothing to distract us later, so if anyone has something to say, do so now" Hikari spoke "Don't be so concerned kimino. I was acting alone. I am sick of being held back by the clan telling, always telling me to stay and putting me down. I refuse to live in your shadow"

Kimino frowned "You weren't going to live in my shadow." he sighed "You know I was going to have you promoted so you could go on your own" he turned back to her "You understand such heresy is a serious crime" he told her

"There is more to life then the clan Kimino. It just doesn't satisfy me anymore" Hikari muttered. She walked straight past him. "Don't you think we better get going" she hinted at everyone

"I never thought i would ever say this but Oassu is right" Alpha patted him hard on the shoulder. Next came Sephs turn "Come on Hikari think happy thoughts, i'm the dark one not you" Hikari gave a small smile in agreement.

Itaka was already ahead "fools" he muttered shaking his head "What are you all waiting for!?" he called back
Oassu turned his shoulder slightly bruised from being hit by the large demon "Lets go then" he said walking towards it
Kimino quelled his anger and walked towards the vortex
Alex polished the gem and followed in silence
