"So.......who wants to go down the dark, spooky, and death filled hole first?"

Seeing as Yoh had liquefied the spiders up above them, William was more focused on making sure nothing lept out of said spooky tunnel. Letting Iden take the lead again William would be right behind his brother; making sure that nothing came out of the walls and attacked him.

Something is still whispering...

*Yoh murmured as he followed the other two, tearing off his bad arm with a grunt of pain as the ligament tore and let the diseased bone go.

As they moved further, dark ice became lit from within. Behidn the walls.. masks. THOUSANDS of masks. THAT was where the whispering came from. And the tunnel carried on upwards*

Don't listen to them. Just keep going forwards.

More advice from the guy who, by all rights, shouldn't be in charge.

Ironic how it turned out. But still, Iden was on point and pushing onwards, and doing his damndest to ignore the masks.

After all, last he needed was to go insane.

Again.

Keeping an eye on Iden as he lead the way, William was more than a little worried; someone was going through a lot of trouble just to mess with their minds. While the talking masks trick was impressive, William took a note from Iden himself and continued to focus on what was right ahead of him; the masks and their whispering went completely ignored.

*The hall stretched upwards, and ended in a large, round room. Nothing nasty waited within. But it was a shallow room, laticed over with a thin layer of very tough ice.

Without the dome, a horrible scene could be seen. A ring of Ice's models, all with mouths sewn shut to stop their incessant screaming stood fleshcrafted togetehr by their arms to form a ring.
Inside the ring, a great statue of Sleipnir stood, rearing towards the stalgmite ceiling above.

Next to it was stood Frion, arms upraised, murmuring softly, inaudibly for now.
All around teh room, war ghouls stood ready and silent, eyes closed, as if sleeping. Mist spiralled across the floor, making the entire scene, with its flickering candles, eerie in the extreme.

Worst of all though... worst of all was the fleshcrafted creature hanging fromt he ceiling, like some warped perversion of a rider waiting to mount the horse.
Lyra. Her arms were crafted together, her mouth missing, her eyes TERRIFIED*

....Will? Yoh?

The word came as barely a whisper. Iden was shaking now, his eyes on the scene before him. White knuckles grasped the stock of his rifle as he shouldered it.

He does not leave here.

RAGEMODE was activating. The red haze was creeping up on his senses, knowing bloody well what was going to happen...and that he had been part of the cause.

Quickly, quietly...he moved like death itself. Celerity bordering its finest propelled him forwards. Rifle forgotten, he was moving in with a grenade in hand...thermite. Tough though the ice may be, it would need to be more potent than a battleship to not melt under such flame. All he needed was a small hole, and all hell would break loose. Frion WOULD die...and that statue would be his pyre.

Watching as Iden Planted the thermite grenade in the room of the chamber the three of them where inside of; William made a quick ammo check of each of his weapons, making sure they where all topped off with ammunition. Waiting patiently for The thing to go off and allow them access to the room they where needed in; William prepared his plan of attack, through the hole, take aim, cripple Frion, and kill everything else. Simple enough.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 27, 2010 2:18 pm

Im sorry. I cant let you do that.

*Frion's voice was calm and quiet. The thermite WOULD have done its job, except... the room the trio were in WASNT just a room. It was a cage.

Ice built upon ice as the room rose, leaving the termite burning FAR below and keeping the trio trapped as Frion walked over and looked UP at them, elevated some way above him in thick ice*

I got you front row seats. Sorry for the long walk, but you arrived early you see. I wasnt ready. I am now. Just one last thig to arrange. Sit tight, Iden. Your role is coming.

*Stepping away, Frion flicked open his phone and started dialling, while Lyra looked over to Iden, on the same height level as him now, with paniced eyes*

....Hello? Dagoth? I am phoning as I said I would months ago. Yes, I finally have the package from your master. Its time to finish his last order to you. Will you come?

*Frion's vibrant eyes looked at Iden with a DEVILS smile as he flicked the phone shut*

Silly Frion, thinking Iden would bring ONE firebomb to this den of ice. Every munition he bore was incendiary, from the shotgun shells and rifle ammunition to the line of grenades strapped to his belt. He would burn his way through this place if it required him to bathe his bare knuckles in an inferno and physically rip his way free. Nothing would stop him.

Nothing. Not Frion, not these walls, not Yoh, Will, Roan, Ice, the devil or God himself would hold Iden back. Now was the time for his inheritance of the DeSeer hallmark, the force of will that could be rivaled by none.

And may fate show mercy, either he would rip Frion apart with his bare hands, or he would burn this prison and all the captives within in the fires of his hate.

Someone was going to die very, very soon.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 27, 2010 2:28 pm

*Frion only smiled as Iden went made, and scribed a sigil in the air.

Around the Selipnir statue, four strange artifacts were softly glowing. Now though, as Frion muttered a power word, a fifth started to glow. Simultaneously, for those in the prison, a sense of lethargy would almost instantly be placed upon them*

Good boy Iden... all of your hate... just what was required. And while we;re at it, shall we take your drive too?

*Another sigil, a fruther weight of lethargy. Yoachi was the first to crumple, falling to his three hands on the floor, both of his dragons floundering, the silver one vanishing under the pressure*

Stop... Iden... if you carry on, and he keeps this up... I'll lose Yang, and Will will freeze...

Waiting until Iden was out of the way, William slung his shotgun, and yet again drew what Iden had dubbed the deathstick; targeting Frion's cocksure grin, William let loose. The HEI HELLHOUND screaming down into the floor to meet him; once the round impacted, the shaped charge would work its magic, sending a white hot liquid steel rod screaming through the ice down towards the cocky Tzimisce. Reloading the grenade launcher, William would get about half way through before faltering slightly when the lethargy hit; Will's focus immediately losing its clarity, reducing both his speed and accuracy greatly. Getting off a second shot soon after.

While he was concerned about Yoh's comment on him losing his heat source, William knew if he did not do something he would most certainly die down here; William did not want to do that.

Lethargy?

No effect. Iden was too driven...just like Frion wanted. The fires of rage burned brightly in response to the sting of betrayal. Oh, if he got his hands on Dag...

There was a more important danger than the lethargy or the cold. There were fires of several thousand degrees burning within their prison as Iden threw more thermite into the blaze. It was VERY possible that they would all burn, rather than freeze...to say that Will was in little danger of the cold would be understating matters.

"Took your sweet time."

The cainite almost whispered from the shadows on teh Ice Caverns, the soft glow of his smoke lighting his pale features up with every inhale. He tucked the top hat under his left arm and grinned ever so softly, that little smirk he used to give to only one. Dagoth shook his head and walked over to Frion, tapping the other cainite on the shoulder. The Cainite smelt softly of coconuts, lavender and blood, something of a holiday romp he was dressed head to toe in white linen. Expensively made and clearly for pleasure, although the sword and duel Romans he wore distorted that picture somewhat. His voice when speaking to Frion was firm but left no missunderstanding that he meant what he said.

"Don't be letting the children meet final death now, I'd hate to have to end the party."
PostPosted: Sun Jun 27, 2010 2:53 pm

No such intentions, Lord Dagoth. It would spoil even MY masters plans.

*Iden was doing what Frion wanted, and ALSO being pesky. Without warning, a thick extra wall of ice shot upwards, leabving a space between it and the cage Iden was burning through. Spikes of ice showed on this second wall, slowly creeping outwards until, all of a sudden, the cage gave in to Iden;s work and reduced itself to so much water, sending all three denizens to the floor, wherupon ice not ONLY seperated them from each other, but in IDEN's case, surrounded him COMPELETLY, preventing him from moving*

I DID warn you, Iden. I want your hate, but I'd rather you didnt bleed me JUST yet.

*The other downside? Yoh lost control of his second avatar. For Will, the cold would suddenly press in. But it was controlled - not that the hybrid woudl know it. Froon was going for a specific effect, NOT the hybrid's death. Shame William couldnt know that. All he COULD know was it was getting colder.

Frion meanwhiel had work to complete. He handed Dagoth a letter, then went towards Lyra, inscirbing a rune near her. She was Sorrow. Iden was Hate and Drive. This left one more thing to come from the original eight, to light the final artifact. This was where Dagoth's letter came in.*

'Dagoth,
If you are reading this, cub, then thins have proceeded as they must, though I know not the time scale.
long did i watch you in the Fang, and know of your skill without question. yet this was not what I sought, as we both know.
Ever loyal, my faithful pet, I ask you now complete my request to you. Do right by He I loved, and give up what is asked of you.

Prosper, cherished cub, in freedom.

~Bailey'

Dagoth DeSeer... I ASK of you to use your love for YOUR master... to reawaken mine. Will you do this?

To say that he could not move was a misnomer. Iden could move...regardless of the bonds placed upon him. His movement was inhibited though, making the spectacle to continue a truly horrific one to behold.

It started with the snapping of bone. One arm broke and bent to an unnatural angle to give it the position to press against his prison. Then another. Potence fueled everything he was, all caution thrown to the wind. And if that failed...well, he still had more explosives. Suicidal though it may be, he would be free, or he would see the cave burned to the ground around him.

No rationale. Just pure, unadulterated need to kill. Frenzy at its most bloodthirsty.
