The motorcycle was waiting right in front of the door, key in the ignition, humming serenely. The travel bag was across it, and a little jacket and helmet tossed over the seat. The ones Owle'd been lent when she took a trip on the bike last.

"So, it sounds like we've picked a destination for our little trip, eh?"

Kalis stepped through the door right behind her, changed and looking ready for anything. The wind-goggles, a jacket in place of the hefty coat he'd lost, the gauntlets and greaves in place, sword across his back. And that devil-may-care grin.

"You'd think the world could go a few days without being saved, though."

Owle sighed and smiled up at him, the fierce determination melting into an expression similar to his. "Yeah..."

She hadn't said anything to him. Maybe, in her own way, she'd wanted to protect him, keep him from coming into danger. But he knew her too well for that.

"This wasn't exactly what I had in mind for our trip, though..."

She set down her medical bag, then shrugged into the little jacket. Sometime she'd have to get one of her own, instead of always borrowing his...

After replacing the med bag on her shoulder, she pulled the helmet down over her hair and straddled the bike behind him, pre-emptively closing her eyes.

To be honest, if the something being in peril hadn't been enough, her gathering all that medical gear would have done the trick. Either way, the little bird was going to have to be trickier than that to slip by him.

"Well,"

He sat down on the bike, and let her follow, waiting until she got comfortable before he really got the engine purring, and reached back for a moment to make sure all of his gear was set. It was strapped on tight, so as soon as she got a tight hold on him, they'd start accelerating.

"...at least it won't be boring."

And off they went, off to save the day again~!

"Never is," Owle replied, bracing herself against him as the vehicle started up.

"Rain's on the east side, he says help is needed over there...but don't try to go through the city!"

Well all I know, is that if I gotta go...

Rap was good to listen to, especially the old school, easy stuff. This Insane 17th Ward Camp was picked up in one of her p2p searches and she was hooked. Some of their other stuff was the usual fare of this and that slinging and drug dealing, representing the hood... but she didn't want to listen to that while driving. No, this is what it was about. Someone was caught in the life and trying to relax in it, not getting caught up in big trouble, but people kept trying to steal from and kill him.

The car was parked and locked, and Twitch hoofed the rest of the distance to the establishment while letting the verse play. She didn't want to disturb other people getting a drink with the music on her headphones, so she'd turn it off eventually. Hopefully someone was actually there.

Well then I gotta go, but I'm going out with a blast.

I pair of eyes followed the woman as she walked in, just like the person before her, and before the last. These eyes were large and black, with a small, white sliver in the middle.
But there was something odd about these eyes. They were simply eyes. No face, no flesh, no body was connected to them. And with a shimmer of light, there was now, below the eyes a wide, sharp toothed grin.

"Oh oh... Looky looky... A kitty just like me." The grin giggled darkly and disappeared.

Just taking the headphones off, she more felt the presence than she heard it. Twitch kept the door open for another second as she looked outside. This being her first time here, she suspected that it was a regular here.

"Hello? Do you work here?"

The door was closed and she looked around, hoping the voice answered her. Otherwise, she needed her senses checked.

A small tap could be heard on the counter of the bar. Nothing was there. But the tap continues and grew louder. As well as a soft purr reverberating off of every wall.

"You know..." A sly voice retorted from behind her. The tapping now stopped.

A soft purple pair of ears appeared and twitched. But the were upside down...
What?

"You smell like car..." The giant eyes returned and focused on the woman.

"I smell like... car?" Twitch was slightly confused. Voice came from one spot, knocking came from another... two people, then? Only one'd spoken, unless they were twins and liked playing tricks on people.

"I was in a car not too long ago, if that's what you mean. Do you... work here?" Her ears twitched as she bit down on her jaw slightly.

"Me work? You're a silly kitty. Would you happen to know where you would find..."

A small girl fully appeared and dropped from the ceiling, landing nimbly on her tip toes. Her eyes were searching a piece of paper, and on the other side, a little clip containing a twenty dollar bill. She then looked up at the women, her jet black hair covering her left eye.

"Milk?"

She was a curious looking girl. She stood only about five foot zilch. She wore a dark purple turtle neck sweater with long leaves, a small black skirt, and purple and black stockings.

"Or a head purrhaps?"

Purple and black? Sounded like D's kinda 'fit. Might have to copy that outfit one day. She wore black pants and a tee that looked like it had been dyed from varsity gray to the purple it was now.

"They might sell milk here... I don't know. I don't even know if this place is open, since nobody looks to be here, but the door was unlocked. I guess they're so remote and friendly that they don't expect anyone to steal from them." She shrugged.

"A head...? What do you mean? A head of lettuce...?"

The girl tossed her list to the floor and loosely grabbed her head. And with a light tug and a gross popping noise. Off it came. Bobbling it about a bit, she held it up with both hands to show the woman.

"A head like this," the head spoke clearly, "fresh if you can find one. I'm rather hungry you see. So I killed this person. And took their wallet, and this list they were carrying."

Twisting her head back into place, she snapped it to either side and giggled darkly. Kneeling down she scooped up the list with her tail and grinned.

"See the list? I think they had children in a car... It was a long time ago though..." Her voice sounded so innocent.

Her eyes focused on the womans, never moving.

"I haven't seen anyone here for days either." Her eyes gleamed darkly.

"A head... like that..." D' took a half step back with her right, moving the arm back as well, as if she had a knife or something to pull out and defend herself with.

"If this is a joke, it's not a very good one." Couldn't she meet some normal people? Someone who didn't have a moral code so free as to allow them to kill on a whim, someone whose head didn't screw off?

"Joke? I LOVE JOKES!" She chimed and bounced a bit.

Leaping onto the counter, Cheshire continued to grin as she waited for a joke from the woman. Her tail swayed about, and she never once blinked. It would seem as if she was peering into the person, either that or she was just indeed a freak. But she left that up to the victim person to decide. With a yawn and a purr she flopped onto her side and propped up her head with her hand, still waiting.

"What's your name cat lady...?" Cheshire giggled darkly once more.

"You first. You're asking so many questions... it's only fair, right? So..."

She remained as she was, ready to pull a knife or whatever. "What's your name?
