Fernkit padded over to Copperdance, sitting in between Emberkit and Foxkit. "Tell us!" she squealed excitedly, looking around for her sister, Autumnkit.
Amberpelt let out a mrrow of laughter as she walked over to join the other queens, laying down next to Orangenight.

Ok...I apologize for being an airhead, but what were Showerstar and the others going to do agian? Me forgeted. crying
Spottedwind, flanked by Talonstride, pad through the camp entrance and enter silently into the woods, ears and eyes alert. Lotusleaf, also hearing all that had just recently happened, let out a tiny growl of annoyance.
"What else is going to go wrong..." he mews to himself, debating on weither he should go after his leader or stay here.
After much contemplation, he decided that having both him and Showerstar out of camp would be to risky if something, or someone, chose to convey on camp. 'I'll just wait to send out patrols until Showerstar gets back. In the meantime.....'
He nods respectfully to his fellow warriors then turns, heading to the medicine den, growing more and more fearfull of what he would find.

Showerstar's golden eyes were narrowed deeply. He looked at Dustpaw, who kept up with the warriors fine, but had a seemingly emotionless but blank look on her face.
Duskfeather's eyes traveled to the camp entrance as a patrol returned. Raggedtial leading Nightfrost and Nightpool.
Raggedtail's amber eyes were narrowed to slits. "That's the last time I'll ever listen to Riverwind!" He growled. "Moonclan was in no need of our help. And Then Riverwind just took off!" His anger boiled up.
Duskfeather narrowed her heather eyes.

Petalfrost yawned as she woke and stretched before padding out of the warriors den. Her belly rumbled, reminding her how hungry she was. She then walked over to the fresh-kill and picked out a mouse and began eating, looking around camp as she did so.

"Alright, I'll start with the story of why dogs and cats hate each other." Copperdance mewed. "Once, long, long ago, cats and dogs didn't hate each other. They weren't friends by any means, but they had no reason to hate each other.
Back then, there was a powerful cat named Mountainclaw, and he was said to be the strongest, fastest, and smartest cat in the whole forest. And there was a big black dog named Bone Eater, and all the dogs thought he was the strongest, fastest, and smartest dog in the whole forest.
One day both the cats and the dogs started arguing about who was better, Mountainclaw or Bone Eater. They kept bickering and bickering until it was decided that the two would have a contest that would have three parts. The first part would be a race, to decide who was the fastest. The second part would be a problem that they had to figure out, to decide who was smartest. The last one was a test of strength, to see who was the strongest."
Copperdance twitched her ear, to get an annoying bug to leave her alone. Then she continued.
"Bone Eater won the race, because of his long legs. But Mountainclaw quickly won the problem solving part, which was to get a squirrel out of a tree. Finally, there was a test of strength, which was decided to be who could climb to the top of a cliff first."

Featherkit looked at brother. "Sush! She's getting there...." She whispered.

"As they climbed they were evenly matched, matching each other step for step. But a rock slide happened down the side of the cliff and both Mountainclaw and Bone Eater got trapped in the rock slide, and both were killed.
As soon as that happened, the dogs blamed the cats, saying it was their fault. But the cats knew it was just an accident. To this day, dogs still blame cats for a crime we didn't commit. And that is why dogs hate cats, and chase us when they see us." Copperdance mewed.
