Miranda couldn't help but chuckle a little. "In case you haven't noticed, most normal people usually aren't in the best of moods right when they wake up. But I suppose that doesn't apply to you.."
She was about to say something, but her concience had began to yell at her. "Great. Now what are you going to do. You can't get him to tell you if he likes her or not without looking to....desparate. And if you let it go, he's going to think you're weird." She, as always, decided not to listen to it.
"Yes, you do. Slight. I mean, I know I was gone for three days, but I come back and this is what I get? Honestly, I'm just a little confused. I mean, she did sit next to you in the great hall, and don't think I didn't see her wink when she walked away. But you looked a little, oh, I don't know, it was a mix of confusion and annoyance, but I wasn't sure. I don't know what to think about anything anymore. I think I'm going crazy."
She adjusted herself in the chair. While she was going so, she realized what ahe had just done. "Sorry for taking all my problems out on you there. Feel free to take some out on me. I'm all ears. And you don't have to worry about me telling anyone. Trust me, I don't have anyone to tell.

Carrigan looked up lazily, tilting his head and smirking. "Well, that's the entire point, you see. I'm not awake enough to be in a foul mood for being woken up," he said, arching his back a little as he stretched. He yawned and covered the motion with his overlong sleeves sleepily, but as Miranda plowed on with her sentences, Carrigan's body slowly tensed. He looked up, and there was something overbright about his eyes and his voice was guarded when he spoke. "I'm not social, Miranda," he muttered. "I don't talk to people that much, so... having a conversation with her in the Great Hall? It was amazing. It was breathtaking. It was something I don't normally do. But..." and here, Carrigan broke off and shook his head, smiling wryly, "do you really think I'm looking to jump into another intimate relationship? It's difficult enough for me to keep talking when I'm around you-- and that has nothing to do with you, that's just how I am-- so I'm definitely not going to try and bring Anna up into the boy's dormitory like I did you."
He crossed his arms over the side of the chair and regarded Miranda seriously, resting his chin on his wrists once again. He was flushing red again between embarassment and frustration. "I don't even know if she and I are going to manage to become friends, because that conversation was one of the most awkward I've had in my life. She was so quiet and I was just putting her on edge with my antics. Not everyone loves my disturbing quirks as much as you do, Miranda, darling." He smiled somewhat fondly at her, adding the pet name unconsciously but immediately regretting it. He covered his mouth with a hand and curled back up into the chair, startled by his own free tongue.

Pam walks down to the common room from her dormitory, she had been taking a relaxing afternoon nap. Quietly, she makes her way to one of the sofas near the window and sits there admiring the perfect view of the Hogwarts Grounds. It was only her fourth day here and she still could not believe that she had actually been sorted into Ravenclaw. After a few minutes she picks up a letter from home and while stroking Dillymo reads it for the tenth time [= Then seeing Miranda in the couch next to her, Pam goes and talks to her. "Hello Miranda! I've just seen this book thats really interesting, its called "The Transfigurations of Troy" It talks about how Transfigurations played a big part in the Trojan War when muggles and wizards knew each other although very often the muggles though wizards and witches were gods and goddesses. You might like it!"[/color]

Anna came back from the Room of Requirement (OOC: I was too lazy to post there as well, my elf-post is still the last one there), and entered the Common Room. She saw Carrigan and two girls sitting there. She appoached one of them: "Hi! Miranda... right? We haven't been formally introduced. I'm Anna, nice to meet you. Do you mind if I talk to you in private for a while?" She noticed that the other girl was talking to her, and felt kind of embarrassed that she interrupted the conversation. She looked at Pam and said: "I'm really sorry to intrude but this will only take a minute."

Miranda took a deep breath in and held it for a moment. When she started to get worried that her face was turning purple, she let it out. "I suppose I was getting a little ahead of myself. And your explanation does make a little more sence, but..." she trailed off not knowing what to say next.
She had to admitt, she was a little anmnoyed with herself. She'd never lost her train of thought more times than she had in the past week or so. But she guessed that was to be expected, her being so new to the whole "being in love" thing.
She smiled, she couldn't stop herself, when he called her darling. It sounded so cute when he said it. "I could get used to this' She thought to herself. "What antics? Do you mean your staring off into space when you're talking habit?" She asked, "I think it's cute.' She added with a smirk.
Just then, someone walked in, introduced herself as Anna, and demanded that she speak with her in private. She turned to her with an "Oh no you didn't!" look on her face and said, "Um, hi Anna, nice to meet you too." She turned to carrigan appologetically, gave him a little hug and a kiss on the cheek, promised she'd be right back, and walked off with Anna.

"La la la... there doesn't seem to be much to do anymore." Mikki made her way down to the common room, unsure of what to do. Spotting Carrigan sitting alone by the fire, she goes over to him. "Hmmm.... I haven't really met you yet, Carrigan, but I've heard a lot about you from my friend Miranda. I am Mikki. I'm the girl who gets all hyper all the time.... But not right now.... Trust me, you'll know when I get hyper!"

Anna led Miranda to a remote part of the room where they couldn't be heard by the others. Slightly hesitating, she started: "Well, I've noticed you've been looking at me strangely lately. And a while back, when I offered the pastry up in the dormitory, you ignored me completely. Frankly, I could sense your anger. (Yes, I can do that, empathy is one of my powers/talents/gifts, as well as mind-reading, to an extent. xp ) And... I know you like Carrigan. So, I just wanted to let you know that I was not hitting on him, or trying to seduce him or anything. We shared a boat to the castle and talked for a while during the Feast. And that's it. I would really hate it if you'd misinterpret that. Besides, I just came to England from a foreign country and the last thing I need is have someone I share the dorm with hate me on my first week upon arrival. I was so glad I got sorted to Ravenclaw, and I really don't want to start any feuds with anyone here. So... yeah, that's pretty much what I wanted to tell you.", Anna finished and looked at Miranda trying to sense her emotions once again. She hoped that this'd calm her down a little.

|| ...Trust Carrigan to start something like this right at the start of term! ||
Carrigan looked like a cornered animal as Ravenclaw followed by Ravenclaw entered the Common Room and began to converse with Miranda. So much for a quiet afternoon. He curled up again and tried to keep calm, but to no avail. He frowned a little as Anna came up and pulled the girl off to the side for a private conversation, sensing a little tension and worried because of it. He'd really started something here. He tried to block out the sound of their voices and settled back into his chair, only to have yet another Ravenclaw girl approach him and begin conversation. He turned his head and eyed her, a small frown still on his face. "Only good things, I hope," he said to Mikki, then in a more friendly tone, "It's nice to meet you, Mikki."

|| Woah. Who do you think you are?? You can't tell me what my character is doing.||
"Well, judging by the way you acted in the great hall, I refuse to believe any and all of what you just said. What pastry? When I left, you wern't here. I came back, and there you were, winking at carrigan. It's a little late to not want to start fueds with anyone."
She turned to leave, but instead, turned back, and in a very mocking tone laced with sarcasm, she said, "That's pretty much all I wanted to tell you. Now if you'll excuse me..."
She turned, and this time, she did leave.
She walked down to sit by the fire, and saw that mikki was back from where ever she had disappeared to. She sat down next to carrigan and tried to act like nothing had just happened. 'Hey guys. What''s up?"

[[A little harsh there Miranda, non?]]
"Not much, we were just introducing ourselves, since you obviously didn't plan on introducing us," Mikki replied to Miranda, adding a little girly-punch to the end. She then turned to Carrigan. "Miranda could never find anything bad to say about you. You don't need to worry about that!" Mikki flashed the small group a smile. "Carrigan, you could hardly expect peace in a house such as Ravenclaw! Back last term there was no such thing, with Ari and Princess always around. Without them, I must admit it's a bit too quiet. I hope that doesn't bother you... hehe," Mikki finished with a giggle. "So, what is new?"

Miranda walked around in the Girls's Dormitory making sure no one is inside. With her wand, she created a outlet to plug in her guitar ampliphier. Miranda got the cord to the ampliphier and plugged it into the outlet. She got another cord and connected it to her guitar and the ampliphier. She dug around in her robe pockets and got a guitar pick. "I hope no one can hear me..." Miranda turns the ampliphier on quietly. She looks around, making sure no one was in the Dormitory. "And now for my signature song...." Miranda begins to play "Revolution Deathsquad"," not realizing how loud she was playing.

"I'm flattered, then," Carrigan said to Mikki, rubbing nervously at his wrists. He avoided looking Miranda in the eye, feeling the irritation radiating off her even as she tried to disguise it with nonchalance. He watched Mikki and Miranda interact with a solemn look on his face, feeling a little ill to his stomach. "Well, I suppose I should have expected minds to be at war here..." he said, but he was lying. He had been hoping for some more... House unity, he supposed. Carrigan smiled a tense little smile and shrugged. "But that's me." His voice rose unnaturally halfway through his sentence, his voice almost breaking. He flushed in embarrassment and turned away, his ears picking up the strains of music from the Girl's Dormitory.

Anna stood there for a while in complete shock while Miranda was snapping at her for no apparent reason. Just as Anna wanted to reply, Miranda turned away and left. Anna was a little confused, but she shrugged it off pretty soon. Whatever. I don't want friends who are paranoid and insecure, anyway. I was just trying to be nice. If she doesn't want to be friends with me, I certainly don't need her., Anna thought as she was walking up the stairs to the dormitory.
(OOC: By the way, I'm not sure what you meant by me telling your character what to do, but if you're referring to the pastry thing, that happened a couple of pages ago. If you were thinking about something else, I have no idea what you're talking about.)

[[Woah, Anna, there is no need to be saying things like that about our housemates. You don't need to make it known that you don't like someone. This house is very tight-knit, in case you didn't notice, and we don't need that kind of drama. If you don't like her, keep that to yourself. We don't need to know.]]
Mikki looked at Carrigan, slightly confused. "I don't mean we fight a lot. It's just never quiet!" Mikki replied, suddenly understanding what he meant. "There usually isn't much drama... but I guess it's only to be expected that someone doesn't get along in a new group as big as this," Mikki adds. She then gets out of her chair and situates herself to sit like L. "This is better."

Miranda got up for a minute, just long enough to push her chair closer to the fire and sit down in a more comfortable position.
"I'm sorry Carrigan. I'll try to get along with her if you really want me to. But there's just some people where I just can't help it. Ask mikki. She would know all About that. Right mikki?"
A broad smile crept across Miranda's face when Mikki sat down L style. "You should sit like that all te time. It's so cute! It makes me just want to give you a big squeeze!!" she squealed, but restrained herself, for fear of being spazed out on.
